Smashed the Beretta T56 #LSswap at Cleetus Burnout Stafford
This one hurts. I put it in the concrete wall at Cleetus McFarland Burnout Rivals at Stafford Motor Speedway. Probably the hardest part to find for a Beretta is the Z26 front bumper and now it's screwed. And I broke the brake pedal too, so I've got a bunch of work ahead of me to fix it. But I will rebuild. The kiddo is unimpressed with my driving...I need to make time for some practice if I keep doing these.

Knocked a few things off the to-do list that I've been slacking on. I designed a T56 logo a couple years ago that looks just the the Z26 and Z28 logos of that generation. Zero-wiring 2step rev limiter with factory PCM in HPTuners/TunerPro - Beretta #LSswap

I figured out a way to set up a 2-step rev limiter, controlled by the stock PCM with no wiring needed. It reacts super quick and it should work great for drag racing. I originally tried wiring in a clutch switch to pin 32 of the PCM to trigger the P/N tables, but that didn't work at all. My rusty junk Blazer has been sitting around dead since August, and I finally got around to fixing it. It ran on brake fluid so I was pretty sure it just needed a fuel pump. So we dragged the POS in the garage and threw a Walbro 255HP in it that I had laying around. It still runs horrible but it'll work for what I have in store. My original redneck engineering when building this car was mostly pretty good, but I'm making a few improvements. It's good practice in problem solving... I bought some custom Moser axles to fit my Explorer 8.8 but use the Beretta wheel hub and 5x100 bolt pattern. They machined them incorrectly and basically told me to piss off when I wanted them to correct the problem. Un-deaded this 2009 SRT-8 with a bunch of parts in boxes and another 6.1 Hemi. Put in a fresh clutch and a Barton shifter and now it's smoking tires again on the cheap. Testing out a genius/stupid idea for converting a regular OEM wheel to beadlock without any welding. Using lasered jig and rings and spacers from Empire Metal Works empiremetalworks.com/ I was able to successfully assemble everything together. My buddy's F350 Super Duty is still in the shop, so I haven't been able to drive on it yet...but the initial results look good. Then there's just 32 x 5 ...

Back in Sept I snagged another LS for the Beretta. This one with more displacement, more compression, better heads, more power and less weight! Hey at least it wasn't a hard hit. Maybe its a good thing something failed on the brakes at low speed like this vs a failure on the street or drag racing. Pretty crazy. Curious as to what ended up falling..
I think something in the bias bar assembly bent because I hit the pedal so hard. That didn't cause the crash
@@GEARHEADdezign but still, thats not good! Definitely curious to see it. I have wilwood setup, maybe Tilton is a better option if it did end up bending the pedal assembly

Omfg!!! I finally found you! You must be my long lost brother from another time! I once had a chevy corsica. My granddad and I put a ls in it, converted to rear wheel drive. I blew the heads and never got to fix it (I was 17, broke, and no direction). The car sat in his shed for years until they junked it. I miss it so much. Even if it was just a paperweight. Now I have money and time and I miss the thrills. So glad to see you do this. Much love. You got a new subscriber. I'm motivated to do it again now!

No, you'll have to use the Windows version

You'll have to use a really old Obdlink LX. Mine is 5 years old
But it's way faster with the VX and Windows, so I'd recommend you just go the Windows route. The tuning software is also Windows so it simplifies the process

@@tatted_dad7827 I don't know if an input shaft exists for your tcase that would fit a ZF6. But you could either go nv 5spd or Corvette T56 6spd with the adapter.

Hey man I recently scored me a 93 Chevy berreta but I’m having a hard time finding out what manual transmissions will fit in it so I thought I’d find a CZcamsr who has worked on em and see if I can hopefully score some advice and also since you’ve got experience working on them do you think you would be able to give a rough estimate as to what a manual swap on a berreta would cost at a reputable shop, I know I’m asking a lot but from one car guy to another I’m here seeking you’re help

The Beretta needs exhaust valves. You’d be able to go from “stock” to straight piped.

To run a Camaro tune you'd have to convert to the DBC style I'd assume. I'm actually doing a video soon with my L33 harness making it DBC
@@GEARHEADdezign I seen how to do the DBC conversion but what about the t56 is the 05 pcm able to work with a t56 wiring or does it only work with 99-02 styles
@@JoeRon-uj5jm not that I'm aware of. I used the Camaro OS to be sure it worked. There's only a few wires to switch around to convert a 03+ harness to work with 99-02 PCM

If the SBC bell is for 12" clutch with 168 with flywheel then yes
