Agya Sei, I was there when the the former president came to Hwediem. It was an awesome feelings. He first stopped at Trabuom middle school, inspected the hospital. From there he went to Atwimaman Secondary school, now Afia kobi, then he went to Hwediem. Oh no,our president came, and the excitement was great. I think it was 1978 or 1979.

The great General Acheampong should never be forgotten about (nnifa nifa dive.) In 1972, He switched Ghana from left drive to right drive. What a legacy. He should not have been killed at all. Those who ordered him to be shot were even more corrupt than him. May his soul rest in peace. I witnessed it all in 1974. God help us.
