    The thing I like about Clamp Champ is that he's a plain but has awesome colors as a figure. The accessory is one of the more cool ones in MOTU. And I think this is one of the best face sculpts they have given this character.

      I agree! I always liked something about the clamp champ figure, even going back to a kid. It's cool to have a black heroic muscle, Guy with a jaws of life in the Motu brand and storyline. This is definitely one of the best designs yet and face sculpts for a Clamp Champ Figure! Thanks for watching 👍

    Masterverse keeps surprising me. This was another figure that was not that exciting for me as a kid. He was mostly a repaint and reuse of parts, but man it looks so cool in Masterverse. The head sculpt is amazing and a very nice new clamp version. There is no weak figure in Masterverse.

      This is probably one of the best sculpts and designs of the Clamp champ figure yet! I like they head, armor, and clamp weapon designs for the Masterverse series. He doesn't come with a lot of stuff, but it's awesome to see Clamp Champ in the Masterverse line! He came out great! Thanks for stopping in to take a look at the figure 👌

      Lol. It's all good! You know how it goes collecting a certain line or core characters. Sometimes, you gotta get them all or a figure that seemed boring but has a unique perspective in the series or as a Toy. I always thought Clamp Champ was a little on the boring side like Man at arms over the creature or Muntant like characters, but we also need a good mix of human heroic muscle guys like He-man, Man at arms, Randor and Clamp Champ. I think he fits right in with some imagining. I like seeing in my collection now aside from Fisto and Teela. I appreciate you watching this review like all the others! I too se figures I wasn't gonna pick up or wait. Then I see the box art or a review. Now I have to it!!👍

      @@Themanchlid I watch all of your Masterverse reviews regardless of whether I'm getting the figure or not, but after this one I might rethink my approach! XD Just kidding of course. :D
      Clamp Champ is a cool character but I am not sure if I want to buy a Revelation release. He looks good and he's pretty much Clamp Champ we know and love, but I was thinking the same about first Man-at-Arms and Trap Jaw and now it seems we're getting them in New Eternia sub-line in 2024 if leaks are true. I'm both annoyed and can't wait to see them at the same time and I'll most likely get them both, as Mattel is on a roll with New Eternia! :D First few waves were fine but they've picked up the slack in waves 7-8 and they are really killing it with 9 and 10! :) I guess they are paying attention to what community is saying. :)

      @nedimmehmedovic I, as said before, I appreciate you watching the reviews and the time to do that. I also watch figure or product reviews on stuff I might not buy. But every now then I'll watch something and now I want it. Lol
      The New Eternia line is the way to go. Many of those figures are really cool. Some are hit or miss for some people because they really over design the core character a bit. Whiplash was a good example of that. They kept his colors and overall appearance close to his original design but yet gave him a hunched neck and legs like an orc. He is still interesting but a little different. So im if they ever made a new Eternia Clamp Champ. He could be very difficult. Maybe even cooler or radically changed like Jitsu, which disappointed people.

  • @bronykingamethystrain5676

    They did our boys Malcom and Raenius dirty in MOTUR!, especially Clamp Champ since this was his animated depute. And they gave Fisto a crude fisting joke on top of that? Barf! (GoAnimate Vomit Sound).

    I'm considering swapping the heads of Masterverse Sun Man and Clamp Champ.
    I've never really been a fan of the 'regular' Sun Man hairstyle for that particular character (I've had a similar issue with New Adventures He-Man). But giving him Masterverse Clamp Champ's head would give the impression of a wiser, experienced, almost mentor-like, version of the character, imo.
    And giving Clamp Champ Masterverse Sun Man's somewhat more cheerful head turns him into a guy that looks like he gets an absolute kick out of trying his pincer-toy on his enemies (imo).
    Now all that remains to 'fix' is Sun Man's weapon that reminds me too much of my younger self's earliest and most embarrassing attempts to draw a spear, way, WAY, back in the day.
    (and yeah, I know there actually are weapons are like that, but I still think a longer more pointy weapon would suit Sun Man better).

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  Před rokem +1

      I remember reviewing the Origins Sunman with that kid looking head when he was first released. I used my spare Origins Clamp champ on that figure for example. Now with the Masterverse Sunman and Masterverse Clamp champ out now. You can make some different custom figures. But as far as switching heads! They won't exactly match the body colors. The Masters Sunman has a Lighter Golden skin tone that is different from Clamp Champ. You might be better off taking everything off the body and trying to switch it over to the Clamp Champ body. Or just pop the head on as you wanted to and go with that. But I would switch everything over if it was me. I did the same thing with the viking He-man body. I wanted to get rid of my first release He-man with yellowish skin. So I used took all the parts off a spare viking body and the first release He-man body. I got a new Vintage inspired He-man head on ebay that was a custom. Then made another regular He-man without yellowish skin. It look much better now! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍

    could you maybe compare the torso articulation between the latest masterverse figures (like this clamp champ) and some of the earlier figures? it kinda seems to me these newest figures have a better range of motion going back and forward and they can actually hold the pose when you twist the torso... vast majority of my early masterverse figures kinda resist torso rotation and snap back to a neutral position as soon as you let the torso go... haven't gotten yet the newest figures 'cause they arrive VERY late to europe compared to the US... but it seems like they've fixed torso articulation on the newest figures..

      Hello. Thanks for watching! So I tested all three new Masterverse figures, which include Clamp Champ, Webstor, and Horde Skeletor, from wave 10 or the figures I have and reviewed. The twisting action in the waist of all three figures is slightly tight and holds the position. They do not get stuck or spring back. Some of my older Masterverse have similar issues in the waist, but they vary. This new wave is much better. Hope this helps!👍

Some figures where simply exclusives in different world regions (or had color variants)... but also some are "banned" like Moskitor in DE. Got mine from Italy i think. Megator was Italy only. Same thing goes for Clamp Champ ... each country has also different lore views (like german audio books (where the idea of anti-eternia was born) and the UK Comics and so on.). Not sure how I feel about the head sculpt on Clamp Champ. Perhaps it’s the way the light reflects off the paint, but up close he kind of looks…older. To me, his facial expression comes across as a grumpy and cranky older man in his fifties as opposed to the younger heroic and more stoic look that they were likely going for. I do really like that clamp though! That’s a great design which makes sense considering how bulky it is when he’s holding it.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  Před rokem

      I personally like something with this Masterverse Clamp Champ head sculpt. It could be my photo lights that are over, causing a slight over saturation of the skin. Also the he has the narrow head sculpt like King Greyskull has, and the big body. I work ok until you compare it to a head head or classics figure. The 200x cartoon and Toys did this to make the characters' muscles and build stand out, I guess. The grumpy look is just another series or Battle Face, in opinion. It would be cool if the Masterverse included two heads with different expressions like we see sometimes. Also, this figure is pretty basic with just one accessory and spare hands. It's not the most exciting figure in the wave. But I'm happy to now get another popular cool heroic character like Clamp Champ in the Masterverse line now!
