Big fan of this Roboto. I think it’s just a fun character in all versions. it could use a little more paintwork but its not bad for what they fit into the budget.
Yeah, he came out really cool for the Masterverse line. He seems accurate to the color or looks in that revalation cartoon. You can always do a little custom work to him if needed👍

The Masterverse puts a different and unique perspective on many of the Core Clike this Roboto. I think he is a solid figure to add to the collection👍

Just got my roboto figure and the head is a bit rough on mine as well. And i noticed the single jointed elbow on the right interchangeable side. I cut in to the joint to investigate and it was designed that way. Interesting.
Yeah it seems many of these figures all came that way including mine. I'm not sure if it's a QC issue or intended that way. It's still a cool look. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments on this figure too👍
I custom my Origins Roboto's blaster with the blast/flame fx that came with the KANE/Roboto figure from the masters of the WWE line, its literally made to fit that double barreled attachment. That KANE figure has the blaster and Claw hands; the same mold as Origins but done in pure black
Hey man thanks for stopping in. Sorry for late reply! I got covid again, really sick! That's a great idea for customs. They could have added a couple other attachments or adapter piece that works with the Origins Roboto weapons or The WWE figures because they are the most popular lines out. But taking look at the arm it's east to drill and make up an adapter piece to fit what ever you want and paint it with silver paint or even a silver sharpy. I never got into the WWE stuff, but I know it goes hand and hand with the Origins stuff for mixing parts👍
Does anyone’s Roboto right arm 🦾 move on both double jointed elbow parts. The hinge closest to the hand or blasting area is solid on mine, does not move at all. ??
Mine is the same way. I also received another comment, Does my Robotos right elbow have a double or a single joint. I think this was intended for the arm to articulate only forward as the straight cannon arm.

Amazing figure and great review! This Roboto is spectacular, I think it would have been even better had he come with more interchangeable hands and at least a blast effect (or just more hands), but all in all beautiful figure.

My first thought when I saw Masterverse Roboto was: Why didn‘t they give him a blast effect like Hordak? :-) I think I‘m gonna use Hordak‘s like you did in the video.

Thanks for checking the video out! Yes, the hands are difficult to put weapons in! Use a hair dryer on low heat for 30 seconds or so about 2 or 3 inches away from the hand. That will soften it up long enough to get weapons in.
Just got my Roboto figure yesterday. The joints were really stiff. Heated him up but one of his ankles was totally messed up. Stiff and can’t move. Also, what stand are you using for the kick pose?
Thanks for checking the review out. Yes, some figures have really loose joints, and others are really tight and need to be heated and then moved around. If it's still stuck, put the leg in hot in hot water for a while, then take it out and try moving the joint back and forth slowly again. Loose joints, you can use clear nail polish or a joint fix called liquid kik that is found on Amazon sometimes. But they both have to dry to tighten the loose joints up. The stands I use are called 7 inch Action figure metal kaiser stand found on eBay, or I have purchased a bunch over the years from a couple of different reputable sellers. That's common sometimes with these figures because of the plastics or paint. I used a blow dryer on low heat for a couple of minutes and worked the joint back and forth. That seemed to fix my figure. Or put it in hot water as well👍
@@Themanchlid The elbow joint on mine is fused into one solid piece. QC issue. No amount of heat or boiling water is going to fix it. I went to the store for a replacement and it had the same completed fused solid elbow. That is why I am really curious if it is made this way on purpose, maybe because of the attachment peg? Can you double check yours to see if the double joint on that arm is really only a single joint?

But I looked closer to what you were referring too and my elbow joint on the right arm is also a single joint,but a double on the left side. It's almost like they intended to do that for the cannon arm set up. Or maybe it's a mistake in these early wave Roboto figures. My head was also very rough looking. That's not right! Also, Two Bad has a strange leg on the right side where it can't go out like the left or articulate with a split.

Are you referring to the weathered look on the head? I'm not sure if that's normal or if some of the early releases of this figure came out that way because of a factory issue. I saw a couple of other reviews where their Roboto head was clean.
@@Themanchlid yeah the rough looking texture like if the mold wasn't entirely smooth and it left defects on the head. I don't like it either. And add the matte finish and it flow with the rest of the figure. Like you said why couldn't it have the same finish as the upper body piece
Yeah, the top of his head looks kind of crappy. Otherwise, not a bad-looking figure. I know this version of Roboto is based off of his appearance in Revelation, but it does seem kind of odd not to include his traditional interchangeable weapons.

I think they should have given options to attach Origins or Classics Trap-jaw and Roboto attachments to this Robotos arm with a couple of small adapter pieces. It would have been cheap and easy enough to include those instead of redisigned molded weapons if they didn't want to do that because of more expense and trying to base this figure off the Revalation cartoon like you mentioned. Aside from that! I think he came out kind of cool and has a unique look👍

When I looked at that blaster, it seemed like it was molded to fit a peg. So I went over to Masterverse Hordak and took the effect off, then tried it with Roboto, Perfect Fit! I'm really praying for a Masterverse Meck-e-neck, Sy-klone and Ram man!👍
You know what would of been cool is if they made his whole head diecast , like the fisto figure hand is metal . I didn’t like how they killed off roboto and fisto in revelations . It was depressing . No one should be dying in cartoons. And I seen other reviews , the head is weathered . Would of been better smooth

I think mine is a Factory issue. I really like the Masterverse figures but didn't care for many choices they in the Revalation cartoon such as killing off so many characters at one time or even evil lyn destroying Pre Eternia. That made sense!

Yeah, I can think of a few different quick ways to attach them. But I was suggesting a way to make them snap on and off with multiple attachments without using glue, putty, or sticky tack. But thanks for commenting and sharing those ideas👌
It probably is. Many companies use pre-existing tooled parts from other lines with slight modifications or colors to avoid copyright issues. Thanks for watching 👍

Yeah he came out really cool like alot of this Wave. I wish he had a couple other attachments. Another must have! I have the Movie Skeletor coming in soon. Can't wait to check it out👍
Yeah he could had more attachments and accessories. The Masterverse figures are hit and miss for certain characters. I'm getting mixed comments on him..I understand why!👍
I don't like this version of Roboto. The diamond facet shape of the original figures torso was so much more interesting than this, and his arms lack any kind of circuitry detail. He gives off more of a Robocop vibe than a Roboto one, as his proportions are more humanoid.

Very good review as always. Personally I think this figure is horrible.The 4horsemen left the bar too high with classics. Arms/legs look weird with those joints, cheap sculpt n painting. I really don’t care how many joints a figure has. At the end they’ll be displayed in 1 or 2 position
Thanks for checking the video out. I understand what your saying. The classics will always be number one to me with most figures. They were made perfect to replicate the vintage figures, but with more modern sculpt and articulation. The Masterverse has a little better articulation but more Wide cuts at the joints. So it makes the proportions look strange or too long sometimes. I'm not the biggest fan of the elbow joints. That cut in the bíceps looks terrible when the arm is stretched. The Masterverse have a 200x figure vibe to me. Longer legs, Arms and Hunch in neck area, or a American Anima look going back to the cartoon. But still mixed with some animation and classics figures elements. I like seeing something new once in a while. I wish the Classics line was still around. But I guess the Masterverse is what we got for now as far as 7 inch MOTU figures. They are not everyone in the end, And I can see why👍
Batman 1989 reference.... " Where does he get those wonderful toys ?? " Actually ball in for Roboto and I do realize in most toys we don't get everything seen in the cartoon but thank goodness for people who can customize! I once he is released I will try to find someone or I might try to make a poncho myself. Lol. Yeah I remember that saying in the 1989 Batman film! I will have to look at my collection again and say that to myself to jusitfy all the money or the fact that was man cave feels like a work place with the reviews instead of a Toy collection. This Roboto had so many options for arm weapon that could have been included. But then he would a deluxe figure for more cost. You can customize that arm or make a piece to adapt, Classics or The Origins Robotos weapon with a little work like showed. You can probley get another Andra or Loose poncho on ebay to fit Roboto. Its looks like the same one she had on in the show or they were all using. I'm not sure what the deal is with the scuffed head. It almost looks like that's how it is meant to be as battle damage or maybe mine is just a factory issue. Either way he looks really cool and must have for our collections!👍😁

Actually the Andra single hoodie would be a good idea for a poncho type effect... 🤔✨✨✨ He still is cool though despite the oversight of the split sword not being purple and or the other things with him...I'm still getting him lol! And yeah it's good to have you do a good review on these so other collectors like myself know what we are getting. I really appreciate it a lot ✨ Yeah I agree some of those extras would have made him deluxe but still in my book It still would be worth it!

Some figures are hit or miss with Extra details, Accessories they should have and things like that! It's interesting a figure like Two Bad gets five star Treatment in a single card with detail and Weapons, But Roboto gets a three star Treatment. He should have come with more arm attachments, purple sword and the Poncho. But he got what he got. As I mentioned you can just customize a bit or get parts like the poncho from Andrea. When I looked at that blaster, it seemed like it was molded to fit a peg. So I went over to Masterverse Hordak and took the effect off, then tried it with Roboto, Perfect Fit! I'm really praying for a Masterverse Meck-e-neck, Sy-klone and Ram man!👍
You know what would of been cool is if they made his whole head diecast , like the fisto figure hand is metal . I didn’t like how they killed off roboto and fisto in revelations . It was depressing . No one should be dying in cartoons. And I seen other reviews , the head is weathered . Would of been better smooth
Thanks for checking out the Review! At first I thought the Roboto head was die cast or battle damaged. But somehow else showed one in a review in the head looks clean. I think mine is a Factory issue. I really like the Masterverse figures but didn't care for many choices they in the Revalation cartoon such as killing off so many characters at one time or even evil lyn destroying Pre Eternia. That made sense!

Thanks for checking the video out! I don't mind the blue face plate. But I'm surprised they didn't go with the black one like Origins. The Masterverse line also seems to make changes in certain figures or the back stories in notice.

They would make great accessories for another figure. I don't care for Roboto holding them as well!

You’re overthinking the attachments. You could make it work with sticky tack
Yeah, I can think of a few different quick ways to attach them. But I was suggesting a way to make them snap on and off with multiple attachments without using glue, putty, or sticky tack. But thanks for commenting and sharing those ideas👌
That blast effect looks identical to Hasbro Transformer blast effects 😂
It probably is. Many companies use pre-existing tooled parts from other lines with slight modifications or colors to avoid copyright issues. Thanks for watching 👍

Yeah he could had more attachments and accessories. The Masterverse figures are hit and miss for certain characters. I'm getting mixed comments on him..I understand why!👍
I don't like this version of Roboto. The diamond facet shape of the original figures torso was so much more interesting than this, and his arms lack any kind of circuitry detail. He gives off more of a Robocop vibe than a Roboto one, as his proportions are more humanoid.

Very good review as always. Personally I think this figure is horrible.The 4horsemen left the bar too high with classics. Arms/legs look weird with those joints, cheap sculpt n painting. I really don’t care how many joints a figure has. At the end they’ll be displayed in 1 or 2 position
Thanks for checking the video out. I understand what your saying. The classics will always be number one to me with most figures. They were made perfect to replicate the vintage figures, but with more modern sculpt and articulation. The Masterverse has a little better articulation but more Wide cuts at the joints. So it makes the proportions look strange or too long sometimes. I'm not the biggest fan of the elbow joints. That cut in the bíceps looks terrible when the arm is stretched. The Masterverse have a 200x figure vibe to me. Longer legs, Arms and Hunch in neck area, or a American Anima look going back to the cartoon. But still mixed with some animation and classics figures elements.
I like seeing something new once in a while. I wish the Classics line was still around. But I guess the Masterverse is what we got for now as far as 7 inch MOTU figures. They are not everyone in the end, And I can see why👍

Actually ball in for Roboto and I do realize in most toys we don't get everything seen in the cartoon but thank goodness for people who can customize! I once he is released I will try to find someone or I might try to make a poncho myself. Great review yeah I also wonder if the scuffing on his head part of the design or what🤔🤔🤔🤔

Lol. Yeah I remember that saying in the 1989 Batman film! I will have to look at my collection again and say that to myself to jusitfy all the money or the fact that was man cave feels like a work place with the reviews instead of a Toy collection. This Roboto had so many options for arm weapon that could have been included. But then he would a deluxe figure for more cost. You can customize that arm or make a piece to adapt, Classics or The Origins Robotos weapon with a little work like showed.
You can probley get another Andra or Loose poncho on ebay to fit Roboto. Its looks like the same one she had on in the show or they were all using. I'm not sure what the deal is with the scuffed head. It almost looks like that's how it is meant to be as battle damage or maybe mine is just a factory issue. Either way he looks really cool and must have for our collections!👍😁

So far Mattel seems to be doing great with these and they way they are made you can customize to the liking..... Actually the Andra single hoodie would be a good idea for a poncho type effect... 🤔✨✨✨

Yes Mattel has been doing a great job with this stuff. Some figures are hit or miss with Extra details, Accessories they should have and things like that! It's interesting a figure like Two Bad gets five star Treatment in a single card with detail and Weapons, But Roboto gets a three star Treatment. He should have come with more arm attachments, purple sword and the Poncho. But he got what he got. As I mentioned you can just customize a bit or get parts like the poncho from Andrea. Something about the line, Figures and Franchise in general really has a unique Charm and interest that make both people who grew up with the line and even people who didn't grow up with it, gravitate torward this series and action figure collecting. The parts swaps are the most time consuming part of the video. At least the way I do them and edit it. I'm glad you like that! Sometimes I question Is it that important to many watching.
