  • PLEASE NOTE
The stats haven't rendered out properly at 4:13 (damn you, Final Cut Pro!). It's supposed to read:
    AUDI TTS
    310PS | 38.7mpg
    0-62mph: 4.9 seconds
    FORD FIESTA 1.0T ST-LINE
    140PS | 62.8mpg
    0-62mph: 9.0 seconds
Sorry about that. As you were...
The Korando isn't an absolute pig to look at, so that's a start. And it's dirt cheap. But are those qualities enough to make you want to buy Ssangyong's crossover?

The usual people making comments about vehicles they have never driven and properly never sat in. My father has one he bought In 2017, 4 wheel drive 2.2 diesel, which he saved over £10,000 against the Kia Sportarge, with similar equipment and trim.

These are great cars especially for Towing hence why it won many tow car awards. Like its only £15,500 its not bad compare to rivals it also has a 5 year warranty !

I'm from Macedonia and I have never seen a Ssasangyong in the streets, don't even know if they sell their cars here, but I did some research and indeed the korando won SUV of the year in 2012.

Looking for a new caravan tug and CAMC awarded it best tow car in its category so thought it worth a look. Saw this review, but still test drove one and realised that a reviewer trying for cheap laughs about a funny name and a cigarette lighter do not make for constructive motoring journalism (Leave that to the professional trio mate). So I bought one on basis it is perfectly fine to drive, good spec, and with 179bhp and 400 torques at 1400rpm it goes like doggy doo off a shovel and can pull a house down. Throw in the fact that it's circa £10k cheaper than a similar engined Qumquat and has a 7 year 150,000 comprehensive warranty - really is a no-brainer (Previous cars BMW525d and X Trail)

This channel is starting to appeal way more than the German-car-obsessed carwow. I like Mat Watson and he deserves his subs but, ya know, this guy is much more original/fresh/entertaining. I tend to come here first these days. 😀

Please review the KIA Stonic and VW TROC with an opinion on trim levels. My wife needs a new car and we like the looks and the price on those 2.

Cost in S Korea vs cost in UK? I understand Kia Sorento can be £10k more expensive in Uk than S Korea

I bought one back in 2013 and still have it, it has the previous interior which wasn't bad, actually I think it was better than the current one just strongly despise the steering wheel material to the point I had to wrap it in leather, and the exterior was much better looking that that crap they have now days, two different revisions and they can only make it look worst.
I just gotta love the engine, mine is the latter version of the 2.0 diesel for the 2WD version, sounds great and feels powerful with minimal lag and I reflashed it to get more power out of it, the bad part seems to be the automatic transmission, it can feel great sometimes but sketchy in others, it can delay shifts and make the ride harsher that it should feel when alternating aggressive and normal driving styles.
Also the rear suspension is weak as s***, I can't believe there is an AWD version of this.
But in the end I kinda love the car, maybe if its just for the unexpected power.

Great review of a not so great vehicle - but will SSangyong emerge to be more of a player as how Kia/Hyundai have done since their early days of humble offerings?

Surprised to know that you can buy a Ssangyong in the UK. 20 years ago, my dad owned a Chairman, which had a Mercedes engine under the hood and was originally manufactured by the now-defunct Daewoo Motors. Ssangyong took over Chairman production through a fire sale of Daewoo assets. Fun fact. The Queen of England rode in a Daewoo Chairman when she made a royal visit to South Korea. Btw, Ssangyong is owned by the Chinese now.
