A few folks saying theres a "lot of space", allow me to answer that:
This tour is very late in the day so it's very quiet, I imagine OnTableTop have specifically chosen to do that so you can actually "see" the displays more easily, otherwise a tour where they get stuck in crowds would be pretty boring.
This tour route is also going down the main boulevard where things are open to allow people to move, Salute gets a lot of visitors.
Fantastic tour guys, so awesome to watch this and be transported back to yesterday!
The danger with doing it so late in the day is a lot of the actual stalls had left by this point.
I was wondering why it looked so spacy in this video.
@@_F8.that’s not how trade events like this work. You basically sign a contract to say you’ll be here all day because that’s what folks are paying for. Right bad form to leave an event as a trader early
It still amazes me that this is a strictly one-day event. It feels like there's so much there you need a couple of days to do it justice - especially if you want to try a participation game or two.
You're right, although the event is ran purely by awesome volunteers and running the event for two days at the ExCel would be very expensive.
We can only hope it continues to grow and flourish!
Excellent tour. Thanks for the great content as always 👍
1:53 Health and Safety Frog!
Stealth Hector!
We didn't see you guys there this year, which was a pity as I was looking forward to having a chat with Gerry about our usual levels of nonsense. Hope you had a good time there!
Thanks for the tour!
Hey guys, I'll check the live blog soon here but I was wondering if Victrix showed anything from their new Medieval line yet? Thanks again guys, cheers.
Thanks for the tour, but if I imagine to see everything in one day it seems impossible 😅
Thank you, your videos stand out like a beacon of light in an ocean of Salute "coverage" that amounts to little more than boomers taking selfies in front of cool dioramas.
would be nice if Ben actually said a bit more about some of the games, I realise he may not know what most of them are but they usually have some kind of blurb alongside/on the table.
seems like a cool place to go
Really cool show. 👍
My first missed show in decades.Getting older is not fun. Here’s to next year, though (hopefully!).
Why is there so much space? Is it really early or really late? There is soooo much spaaace
Exactly, maybe clubs and traders aren't as interested in the show as much as before.
Does indeed look empty. The entry price went up from £10 to £16. Perhaps that had an effect?
@sirrathersplendid4825 that coupled with the extortionate parking cost is ridiculous
@@thegameskingdom811- Driving into London these days is daft. Would’ve gone by underground. Even so, a major cost.
This must have been at the end of the day because nobody was at the coffee stand and that is always rammed full. The show was really busy it always pretty difficult to get to the stands and see the models but that is true of most shows. Also I dont think people understand just from the video how big the hall is and how many traders and games they have. I was at the show for 6 hours walking around and still missed a lot of stands lol.
Seems to be a lot more open space and less people or was this towards the end of the day?
Wow what can I say I missed it again.
Last time I was there on a Saturday you couldn't get moved must of been pre 2020
Must have been recorded early as it was packed today!
jerry can build an army Ben. What you should say is "paint an army" :P
What time was tthe tour as looks quiet
The v end
How dare you not show GCT Bushido! Sir, I am offended.
Can you let us know the gaming system being used on the gaming tables and the blog, as its hit n miss, as a here's a game we don't know on this table and doesn't it look greats, walks away to the next butterfly, yes it was great, what was it though!
Lots of unused space.
Or it's space to allow people to get around without constantly bumping into each other. Always my least favourite 'feature' of American events like Gen Con.
@AndrewMcColl there's space to move and there's space that's being wasted... from looking at the videos and photos I'm going with option 2. Is it because traders are not able (or willing) to pay the high costs for trade space at Salute? The increase in entry cost is also very steep, £10 to £16 apparently
@thegameskingdom811 a lot of the places look like they left. It was rammed on the day. This must be when everyone is rushing out to get back home
@@_F8. some of the videos and pictures were from early in the day..
