What the expats don't know about the Law, is that they have to pay at the end of the year thousands of Eur to the Portuguese State for each house they owned in Portugal. Most of the imigrants don't have this type of fee on their countries, but Portugal have it. So tink twice before buying a house in Portugal
That's inaccurate, you pay it to the municipality, the value is variable, for a house like this it should be below 300€ per year. Also I doubt that Portugal is the only country with a property tax.
It is true that there are taxes to pay but thousands of euros is perhaps exaggerated in this type of housing.
Possibly in a luxury house by the sea or in Lisbon it can happen but this house, for example, pays approximately 100€ in taxes per year.
46 euros for mine...
@@hervepoulard662 Sorry, I do not understand
Jonh Beckham said that you have to pay several thousand euros, he must have been talking about palaces in Lisboa or in the Algarve, I have never heard of such sums! Even my family with a house in Nazaré does not spend more than 200 euros per year, and mine which is close to Pombal I therefore pay 46 euros per year, so Mr Jonh gives exaggerated figures!@@Joaombdias
Beautiful property👍😎
