Anchor Arm's development is so heart warming. Especilly since the first thing he did is hug Kai.
Fr😊
You know youve succeeded as a DM when you dont have to say a word for tension.
Man, DND Marines is like a fcking soap opera. All this intense character development with Anchor Arms, Kai, Heather, the suspense around Jepard and Gus, and tensiok between Damien and Yokan. Rustage is right. When character stuff is so intense that he doesn't even get a moment to speak thats when you know this character building goes hard
Next time on Telo.....mmrph I mean One Piece DnD
"Last time on One Piece DND Marines" as a telanovela would go crazy
Damian is uptight but Yokan been talking borderline genocidal thought
@@gjulia312 i think it was just portrayed how she thought really badly. Most of they people yokan wanted to kill were genuine monsters like alter and worm guy. So i think its like if they definitely deserve it why give them a chance to live when they already ended so many lives
Exactly what I was thinking, like holy shit! I love the moments when they lash out at each other, really makes them feel more like a proper family
Fun Fact: having two arms made of iron means that Anchorarms could use the Pokémon move Double Iron Bash!
G-Max Anchor Arms when
CYBORG!
FISHING
CAT-FU
PISSMAN KARATE
TAIGATASTIC
ANCHOR ARMS.
By your powers combined I am Captain Marine.
Bradley: Hey, now you can see me!
The biggest plot twist of the video.
Man, I love all four of these characters' different personalities so much
Damian being the follower of law
Yokan being the follower of her ideals
Kai doing what a real person would do in situations
Bradley doing things that will deescalate the situations and make them less of a hassle
They mesh so well together to perform a perfect RP experience
The players synergize together even better for a podcast like this. That's why we now have second "season" of One Piece DnD with the exact same players.
YAAA HEATHER SHE LOOKS SO CUTE YAAAA
FR THOUGHHH!!!!
Been way too long without this banger of a series but who exactly is heather again
@@jewelmaster8796the thumbnail 😭 (She was freed by the group from the DJ and hooman pirates)
she's beautiful!!!
Looking super cute! I sincerely hope that nothing troubles her anymore than what the crew will do… 😅
Rustage being so flabbergasted during the argument made me laugh way too much
The drama was crazy
Branch 101 Performance Review #19:
Kai: Successfully coached Anchor Arms into being able to retract his anchor arms. Disgusted at the pollution around G-20. Met Commodore Gus with a fake mustache on, anticipating his less-than-ideal reaction (Gus was not amused). Had to be physically restrained from assaulting Commodore Gus, he'd be in a world of trouble if he wasn't stopped. Orchestrated a whole stage production about Commodore Jiro.
Belle: Won at cards with Kai, Taiga and Anchor Arms.
Bradley Briggs: Could not convince his sister to take the metal arm that Damian constructed. Increasingly weary about the crew's drama. Extracted information regarding the Myth Pirates from Heather, comforting her regarding her trauma.
Yokan: Talented tattoo artist, gave Kai a pretty sweet anchor design on his arm. Continuous chafing against Damian's command raises my concern for this crew's cohesion. Commodore Jiro matches the description of the Marine who saved her life years ago.
Damian: Frustrated with the decision making of non-Marine personnel on his ship. At some point installed a humor function. Shared evidence of Jepard's possible connection to the Hito Hito Pirates with LCDR. Powder. Frustrated with the discipline issues arising from Kai and Yokan.
Choppa: Navigating the ship with an Eternal Pose :D
Taiga Kibbleton: Hates cats, apparently. Pretty gung ho about receiving the metal arm that Damian constructed, did not receive it. Feasted on popcorn during a..."spirited debate" amongst the crew.
CASUALTY REPORT:
Kai: Had his arm tattooed by Yokan, very minor bleeding, no apparent lasting pain or complications.
(LCDR. Powder is convinced of the possible connection between Jepard and the Hito Hito Pirates, advised Damian to exercise caution. Anchor Arms was apparently born with that name, and got his Devil Fruit powers from a pack of Lunchables™. Heather seemed pretty cagey about the reason she "can't" join the Marines, seems this crew found the reason. Selena has departed from this crew. The cohesion of this crew is...not something I'm optimistic about long term, not gonna lie, but I have faith that they will do their utmost to find Commodore Jiro and bring him back safely.)
I’m happy you’re going strong with these
Anchor Arms should get an ability where he can "shoot" his anchor arms, similarly to how Franky throws punches
He does
In this episode of One Piece D&D Marines:
-Kai kills all the future anchor jokes while Bradley tries in vain to save them
-Kai celebrates his victory by getting new tattoos
-Bradley loses his voice and fails at being a military recruiter
-Everyone refuses Damian's help
-Kai tries to cutt off Tiga's arm in order to cheer up Damian
-The gang arrive at an episode of Captain Planet
-Investigator Damian is on the case!
-Bradley's sister leaves and she will totally not cause any troubles in the future
-Give your dogs the vomit smelling stuff
-Kai almost gets court martialed
-Yokan goes from being the teachers pet into being the classes delinquent
-Kai and Yokan find something to bond over before they both inevitably leave the Marines
-The gang heads out to kill a bunch of furries (except Heather she is one of the good ones)
Would Yokan count as a furry?🤔
I'm considering whether or not Yokan is becoming chaotic bad or neutral or this is just how she is?
@@ambz17 I think it might become Lawful Evil

THIS IS PEAK!!! This episode was soooo good, everything i ever wanted was here! I loved one piece dnd but the one thing I thought was missing from that perfect show was some conflict between player characters and now with marines my hopes and dreams have finally come true. It really feels like this show has perfectly shown the marines internal issue of everyone having a different view of justice and how to inforce it. This episode was olso fantastic because: Lost Pause did an incredible job with Damian and how he views his position in the marines, Tekking101's fenomenal job with Kai and his relationship with his uncle, Brigg's wonderful job with Bradley and his conversations with Hether, 2spooky who along with doing a fantastic job with Yokan finaly after so long did one of his patented "2spooky speeches™" meaning this episode is an instant 10/10, we finally got Heather art so the Heather fans can stop yelling, got anchor arms character development, i could say so much more about why this is episode is peak and i am so excited to see whay will happen next on this journey because so far it's continuing the trend of the third one piece dnd arc being the best.
Can't wait for Yokan to realize that only the captins base didn't have none human captives there implying that they were either sold to someone that is now unidentifiable or that Captin Hugh Mann had a twisted sence of irony and was keeping them underground now they are left to starve.
Love the drama in this one, can’t wait to see what the group will do when one of them inevitably leaves the marines 😭
Seeing Tekking make a new character again would be great. Maybe the new character would be a fighter class.
I love how in the first campaign, it was all about friendship. But because this is about the Marines, it's about law, duty, responsibilities, and what it means to each person.
Kai eventually becomes the founder of sword
Devil's Luck: Adventure/Action
OPDnD Marines: Drama
Isekai DnD: Adventure/Comedy
While I do think One Piece Dnd is better than Marines (for right now, we don't know what the future has in store), I love how the players who are such good friends in real life play their characters so well with opposing ideals.
In One Piece Dnd, the Devil’s Luck Pirates were friends from the start, and while they butt heads from time to time, they were first and foremost always a family.
Branch 101 is part of the Marines, a government military force, and the group are vastly different people with different ideals. It makes you question that even though these four people are a team, do they truly feel like friends, you know, because not in a millennial fucking years would Damian ever hang out with the likes of Kai, and the same goes for him.
It’s crazy how the players in marines dnd are so good at making the arguments make so much sense for their characters
I think they can definetly be considered friends, they have grown close to each other through the adversities that they have had to battle depending on each other to survive, but they are also coworkers and disagreements are inevitable
I'm not quite sure.
Bradley and Yokan are most definitely friends, but as we see now, she is at odds with Damian on their different ideals of justice, and only just now did she actually create some sort of bond with Kai due to their shared admiration over his uncle.
Bradley tries to be friends with everyone, even with someone as antisocial as Damian, but they haven’t shared that many moments together (at least not many notable ones I remember), and Kai, well… those allegations keep piling up day by day.
Kai clearly has respect for Damian, but not much else I don't sense any friendship out of the two since these two were the first to be at odds with one another.
Damian honestly feels like the problem where I can see Yokan, Bradley, and Kai being somewhat good friends. Damian clearly does not fit well; his very by-the-rules behavior butts heads with the two morally good-aligned characters. He is somewhat of a poor leader and follows absolute justice, and yet he is an incredibly well-done character, especially with how Noble plays him.
Nobody likes Taiga.
@@lastassassin4443 I’m a taiga fan…….
One person likes taiga
Watching this episode live was wild. I would have thought this was planned if Rustage wasn't a mirror for my reactions. Y'all have gotten so good at playing off each other over the years. The snap of tension that's been subtly building for months was so satisfying. Everyone has made such perfect characters for this campaign and play them so well!
I love the contrast of moral dilemmas between these young, hopeful, and often disobedient, kids and their serious and jaded superior all trying to "save the world" as a career unit. It's such a different vibe than the OG series of mostly adults with world experience wanting to accomplish their own independent goals as a familial team.
The drama is so good, I love when players have conflict with each other and the DM just sits back and watches it play out instead of trying to shut it down or railroad them back to the story. A great example as to why this group is so entertaining to watch and why Rustage makes such a good DM.
Rustage Spent half this episode absolutely losing his mind at how the party was fighting each other
Of many great drawings Kauerru cooked, this one gotta be the cutest
By far my favorite episode in the entirety of one piece dnd, watching the crews difference in ideals clash and boil over into an all out shouting match was just as entertaining and exciting as any high stakes battle throughout the series, kudos to everyone for playing their characters to the T and sticking to their guns!
The Devil's Luck Pirates would kill for each other and all generally listened to William. (for better or for worse) Even their in-group fights and idealistic differences were usually very brief.
What I'm saying is: Dear sweet Usopp how are these guys *less* functional than the Devil's Luck Pirates
The DLP made a nice knit family unit. They fought for each other and put great trust in each other. More then willing to put their lives on the line.
Branch 101 however are coworkers. They all have different agendas, different views, different goals, all under the same umbrella of being Marines. So it's no wonder while they make a great team, they are nearly at each other's throats for one thing or another. They don't have that personal and genuine touch the DLP had.
Every post-arc episode: they meet commodore Gus, Kai has a negative interaction, and then the thumbnail is of a crewmember that has been with them for a while, but hasn't yet gotten their official art.
going to be honest, Anchor Arms is 100% my goat.
peak character writing.
Excited to see what the myth pirates can do. So far we know of a Minotaur (Captain Tavroc), Griffon, Aqrabuamelu (scorpion person), Cerberus and what seems to be a Gorgon/Medusa. Seems pretty tough.
And since Tavroc seems to have been sailing around for a long time now, my headcanon is that if the DLP did not find Pearl, Tavroc would have eventually found and recruited her.
Yeah I’m wondering why the captain of the myth pirates wants to gather people with mythical zoans.
@@crocoboi7936It was mentioned that he’s an archaeologist, so that’s probably a factor. Pick a theme your into kind of thing.
I bet Ragnar would want this guy on his crew, I mean, a Minotaur?? That's so up his alley, I wonder if the Myth pirates are already in alliance with the blue bear crew or if at the very end of this Myth Pirates arc one of Ragnar's minions will arrive there who was supposed to give the Myth pirates an invitation to visit Ragnar only to find them dead and/or detained by Marines so they just leave, maybe a battle with them if he's recognized as a Yonko commander.
@@billguy254 So basically what would happen if Robin was a pirate captain. More then likely has a theory about mythicals besides all the power and rarity they have.
*Look at thumbnail*
Wow Anchor arm's look very differently without his anchor arm
Love catching the stream and then tuning in to the CZcams and feeling sad I don’t get to hear the preambles anymore after the vod is gone.
EVERYONE COOKED SO HARD THIS EPISODE. I adore how rustage didn’t even have to do shit when they all started arguing. It was so natural and amazingly played by everyone
Oh my gosh! Heather is so adorable! I seen the stream of this episode and I got to say. The drama is this series is intense AF! Yokan as a character has absolutely no chill. She’s disrespectful as hell. See, she lucky that I don’t have a character in that campaign. I’ll really crash out and tell her something about herself.
She’s also lucky that Gus didn’t just strike her and Kai down for their blatent disrespect. They just need to listen to Damien and Bradley. Damien has the most experience, he most likely has seen fellow marines be struck down and thrown into the brig for similar actions they pulled. And Bradley is also one of the most intellegent out of the group social-wise, so they’ll HAVE to listen to them or they WILL suffer for it.
Hopefully Jiro can talk some sense into them. He’s apparently the only person they’ll listen to.
@@sindraile5128
Oh yeah bro. Kai was acting out a little too much too in that office. He be acting like he’s too new to all of this stuff, and be making rash decisions that could cost him and his friends life. Yokan sense of justice is honestly based off revenge for what traumatized her. Kai is a morally good person, but doesn’t know how to navigate through the gray area of life.
Those are some really deep characters flaws that I hope that get explored and overcome by the end of series.
Yo the drama this episode was so good, Rustage freaking out in the background was such a mood.
Speaking of Rustage, his NPCs always slap, I'm never not impressed
I hope Yokan gets to actually see impelldown, honestly I like my odds of getting resurrected do to a devil fruit better than escaping that place.
So the crab is a literal southern Belle
Heather’s wearing a marine outfit… DOES THAT MEAN-
Ily rustage, have a good day!
Damien: No one escaped impel down
10 years later: hundreds of people escape impel down.
Me: So no one escaped impel down 😅
Spoilers.....I think? 🤔
At this point in the story only Shiki and Morley escaped
*Bonk* No. No meta-gaming logic.
So, hopefully, lunchables and Dole will be sponsors for the next one piece dnd Marines episode
One Piece Marine is soooooo deep... This is amazing.
I love how nuanced Noble is at being the captain of the crew balancing his personal want with his duty as a marine but man Kai as a captain would've made the corrupt marine drama next lvl
This is just gonna become One Piece: Revolutionary Army
Honestly what I hope will happen at this rate. Yokan, Kai, Anchor Arms, Heather, Bradley and maybe Taiga leave the ship after learning that EXACTLY WHAT THEIR LOOKING FOR is what the revolutionary army does, learning about what actually happened in the Tarako Kingdom Via tales of the Devil Luck Pirates and Dorus.
The interpersonal drama this season is peak

Best episode so far
I feel the squad really needs to adjust their approach in this whole "justice" thing. It is an interesting arc how everyone tries to find their own justice. But they need to find a way to formulate it into the story. And certainly some consequences must be had for their actions / disrespect
Agreed. They are FAR more dysfunctional than the Devil’s Luck Pirates, and they were essentially murder hobos. Yokan and Kai need to evaluate themselves if they REALLY want to make changes for the better. Yokan goes on and on about justice and hypocrisy, ironic since she seems to be the most hypocritical out of the group. Where as Kai has no real sense of remorse or accountability for his (and Belle’s) actions.
If those two don’t shape up in some way, they’ll be dishonorably discharged before they even get a chance at leaving themselves. Or worse, as Damien did say some higher ranked marines can and will kill at the slightest hint of insubordination/disrespect. After all, in the original OP DND campaign, Trevor outright killed one of his subordinates right in front of the Devil’s Luck Pirates for one too many mistakes.
This right here is what makes Yokan so shitty as a character. Kai flip flops with me because he’s not a marine at heart so I get it.
But I’m so fucking tired of Yokan starting team fighting almost every episode because she needs to be a edgelord who can’t cool it for 5 minutes. She was especially the worst this episode, she genuinely acts worst then the enemies with gaslighting Bradley and having no actual comeback for Damien calling her out besides Sasuke tier edging.
A Marines dnd was a bad idea if half the players can’t stop being murder hungry for 5 minutes.
@@Graymanlegend0 I think you’re being a little unfair to Yokan‘s character
While she’s definitely been very moody and confrontational in the past few episodes, I don’t believe it’s because she’s a bad character, I believe it’s because she’s a flawed character, and 2spooky, most likely has development in mind
You have to understand that Yokon is coming from a place of trauma and survivors guilt, she was nearly enslaved at a young age, and was unlucky when compared to the likes of her cousins, so she’s grown to idolized the thing that saved her, the Marines
She’s dedicated her whole life to these Ideals of justice, and heroism, that the Marines exposit to the populace, and when she first joined, it seemed as though things were all working out, sure her little stint as leader didn’t last, but she was rising through the ranks quickly, while eliminating evil with her friends
However, her ideals have been slowly but surely challenged, starting with the Seven sisters, and then completely shattering with the Hito Pirates
First, she starts to learn the Marines might’ve been involved In very slave trade and abuse, that she became a marine to stop
Then when she he had finally come face-to-face, with the perpetrators of her people’s suffering, and the In the fights with both Alter and Hugh-man, she was practically helpless
She had been having the time of her life, hanging out with her new friends learning about the world at large, all while believing she was doing something good, but in the meantime, the likes of Heather, Destiny and Selena have been suffering downright unspeakable horrors
All of these things In rapid succession, to such a personal degree, would have a negative impact on almost anyone, let alone someone as childish and Idealistic as Yokan
And that’s what you have to understand, down to many of the little details of her character, in spite of her age, Yokan is quite childish, she’s essentially still the helpless 13-year-old girl, who is saved by a kind Marine(Jiro)
Frankly, she’s more in love with the Idea of what the Marines can be, then she is the grim reality, but she’s yet to let go of her belief In the Marines justice, because frankly, it’s all that she has, without It In her mind she’s powerless, In spite of her many hypocrisies and frustrations, she’s desperately clinging on
In fact, feeling powerless, is the reason why she’s been lashing out, the reason behind her new philosophy,
She believes(falsely) that It’s her only way to achieve justice, she can’t handle the thought of what people might do if she lets them live, It’s not just because she’s angry or annoyed, she’s scared and can’t reconcile that fear
It’s also why she’s leaning so hard into this idea of fate, this is her destiny(no pun intended) this is the reason she survived
And to clear things up no, she did not gaslight Bradley, did she cross the line? Oh absolutely, what she said was fucked up, but you miss using the term gaslighting
Gaslighting is a psychological manipulation technique, where you get the victim in question to doubt their personal experiences and grip on reality, so that they may serve your ends in someway
While Yokan did place doubt on if Bradley had really done the best job with his sister, what she was really doing is projecting, which is when you transfer your thoughts and beliefs about yourself or something outwardly onto someone else
Yokan‘s beginning to doubt herself, but can’t handle those feelings of powerlessness and anxiety, so she projects it outwardly towards Bradley,
Is it OK? Once again absolutely not, is she being reckless and putting them all in danger? Yes, Is she being unfair to Damian when he’s primarily trying to protect them? For sure, do I think it’s her place to just go around killing people especially when they pose importance to the mission? Obviously not
Morality is complicated, so while the act of murder has never been treated with the most tact In One piece D&D(not really much of a criticism just a statement) whatYokan doing is not a good way to go about things, it will only end up, hurting more people in the long run(including herself)
TLDR: I guess what I’m trying to say is Yokan is a complex, nuanced, flawed human character, with interesting internal conflict, that can leaves great room for development
Not just 2Spookys hot, murderhobo, princess OC, who desires to break up the party at every possible point in time
This so far has got to be one of my favorite One Piece D&D episodes in general just... HOLY SHIT!
Yeah, now in team many devil fruit users ( 3 )
But I hope Taiga, Belle and maybe Damien will get one soon
Taiga - Neko Neko no mi, model: Tiger, or charisma base fruit
Belle - Some sort of Hito Hito no mi
Damien - Mechanic base fruit, or Metal Logia
Theoretically speaking, Belle could actually get the standard Hito Hito, since they did just kill Hugh Mann
I think if damian were to pick up some sort of weapon that would be more interesting than a devil fruit

Me and some friends started a campaign a couple weeks ago and in the very first game me and another rouge in our group became enemies with a level 10 blacksmith Dragonborn
Considering Jango had a 9 million bounty yet was still able to get recruited by the Marines through Hina. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch with someone with a 15 million bounty to be recruited while having a history as an informant, and Hina was a captain when she did it.
To be fair, before meeting Hina, Jango was already taken to court and deemed innocent because of Full Body. Hina had nothing to do with that
@@lordfreezer5631 My bad, but wait a minute Fullbody at the time was reduced to a seaman recruit right? Even if he wasn't then at most was a lieutenant commander. If that's true then his word doing that much gives even more power to someone like Damien who at the end of this arc will most likely be captain.

Ive waited so long finally!!!!!!!!!!!
The world pauses when there is no dnd episode to watch😢
New ep, let's gooo
I can’t wait no more give me the next episode tomorrow this my new favorite anime 😭😭 lol loved one piece dnd I rewatch that when I work and I rewatch this to be updated 🙌🏼😭 loves these guys 🤙🏽
Final boss is admiral/vice admiral Damien calling it now
1:38:31 imagine they get there and Ragnar and his crew just killed them all.
On one hand I want to reach new world and deal with Ragnar and with Bradley's Dad but the character development is so good right now especially with the diferent Justice ideology between Damian, Yokan and Kai. I believe they will stay in the paradise until Damian will be vice captain so 2 more missions
i love how when the fighting happens rustage is freaking out in the background lmao
I listen to this while im at work and idk why but, i can imagine all the characters in my head when they talk except tekking, i just imagine tekking along with the crew in a marine outfit
This episode was pretty funny. "If he said that to my face, then I fuckin punching him" love this
I think this was inevitable especially afer the recent episodes. Tension in the crew is high and bursting at the seams
Save the GOAT. Also great episode
What if Yokan does something similar to The Pit-bull where she could physically disable or mentally mess with them so that they never do harm again. That way both Yokan and Damien can get what they want from pirates. I’m not saying this is the best moral decision. However if they are reading this. I think it’s a decision that they can both come to agree on.
Heather is now another One Piece DnD Waifu, along with Pearl and Lyssa❤️
I hope some of the devil's luck crew makes an appearance in this series 😈☠️
Ragnar has the biggest chance of reappearing
I haven't finished the episode yet, but I have a theory that the Custodian has been feeding some of his rations to his daughter so she eats well.
I feel like Rustage just pictured Jiro as Cirils older brother. I don't remember his name. But blue hair, pony tail, navy officer. Kai = Ciril's decendant confirmed 😂
Bradley's catchphase now you see me now you don't. Is comical when he has a blind sister
Why does the uncle's description remind me of Trevor

15 million in bounties translates into only level one of Impel Down gladly, the one with the monsters that chase you through spike forests.
Heather’s design is fire

Yay we get cute srt of Heather and Anchor Arms complex backstory keeps growing
This episode was great, I felt the same as Taiga and Rustage watching the party argue with each other, I love the drama that's in character, I do wonder how this campaing would go if there's ever a point where a character just can't stay with the Marines, would they leave and their character is retired and the player has to make a new one? Or would Rustage run two parties at the same time? I don't know but maybe there is a small hope that this group of misfits can overcome their differences and stick together till the very end.
The Drama is crazy!😅😅😅😅
How.... HOW DO PEOPLE SEE THIS IN 52 SECONDS?!?
anyways. We ball
What do you mean?
Wow, anchors crit made it until the end 😂
Lets' go too took a while but Marines #19
