Thanks!!
Again, thank you for your breakdown of these various injuries. As an RN, I appreciate your thorough and thoughtful explanation of anatomy using both the proper medical terms and layman’s terms to explain the mechanism of the injury as well as rehab and long term repercussions. It’s a good refresher on things we’ve learned, and provides new understanding as well.
I immediately googled Curry's finger when I woke up and you already had the video up. You are an American Icon.
Appreciate you posting so quickly but finish watching the game first. Damn

What difference does it make lol

So nice of you to say! Thanks!
@@BrianSuttererMD damn, you actually respond to comments, too. Props 🙌
Thanks a lot doc. I just dislocated my finger a week ago and I was worried a bit about it. I have been taping it but waiting for it to heal properly. Now I have a better understanding of how a dislocation takes place thanks to this video 👍🏼
Awesome video and amazing timing! I was wondering if there is any concern on the replacement of the joint?! If a regular person had that injury, is it recommended to re-set it yourself, or have a trained medical professional do it?
Every time an injury happens and Brian needs to wake up early to make a video.
“Oh boy 3 am”
Very well explained video/anatomy.. I would love to see some track and field Injuries also.. It would be great.. Keep it up dude
Thanks!

SUBSCRIBED...😛
Great video as always! I 've dislocated fingers twice while playing basketball and the doctor did that "buddy taping" thing that you mentioned. As a young kid, i thought that he was just underestimating the pain i was going through for doing such a simple thing as taping it with another finger.. however, it seems like my doctor knew one or two things more 😅
If u look closely, his finger got jammed when it made contact with Capela’s elbow.
Another great vid! ✊🏾
thank you, sir I suffer finger dislocation. how many days healing the finger dislocation?
I feel like I’m back in high school watching a video in biology class 😂
Excellent explanation...
This is a great channel!
Could u do Foot Drop, limited up & down flex) please?? Thx for this on Steph.
Im high and Can still understand this. I love how you explain things in a way anyone can understand
Doc you fast!
You wasted no time! Sheesh. Awesome work as always, Doc.
Awesome doc
At this rate you'll be time travelling and posting injuries before they happen. 😂
Man this is amazing to get all of these information from you Dr if was not for your videos i would not have clue what is goin on with these injuries thanks alot for the updates Great job Dr
Who tried bending their fingers back while wayching this.
Well you did
Good stuff!
Hey Sir! Me again ‘:) Can you help me? My Middle finger on the right hand has been Jammed last Novermber, until now I can’t fully close it, I’ve been applying compress since then but it still won’t work, does this means it’s fractured? Hope you’ll read this, need your help.
Here after Damian dislocated his finger against the Lakers in the playoffs. Thanks for this video for reference.
man's was quick af
this doctor after seeing curry getting injured be like gotta tie this necktie real quick
Others should watch this video when complaining about about Steph's performance on the court
If there were to be a fracture of the bone, how would that affect recovery time? Friend of mine dislocated the same knuckle but on his ring finger. He was told at the ER that it’s fractured but won’t require any surgery.
Were I to be able to bend my finger past straight, would that mean I don't have said volar plate? I can do this with all my fingers except my pinky. It bends to like 45 degrees past straight... my brother can do it too
That's why he is the best Point Guard..👋👋👍
CIear explanation Doc.. I wonder why curry stiII managed to continue pIaying despite of aImost tearing middIe finger.
Can you do a video on Corey Kluber’s arm fracture?
I dislocated my tendon on my ring finger by trying to form a middlefinger.I was pulling down the other fingers so i can have a perfect form i know its weird but then when i tried opening my hand my ring finger would not go up.30 seconds later it went back to normal. Is this bad for my fingers?
dude quick on this one sheesh
If only ER room visits were this quick... we need you at the VA!😏 lol
Respect
Can you do Kanters separated shoulder?
Done that a few times. Not fun. But definitely tape it up and you can keep playing
I think curry is one of the toughest NBA player.
Having a superb medical team behind you helps. Bear in mind a man with a past horrific injury like Livingston is thriving and a vital part in this team.
@@lipstickzombie4981 So true. Warriors medical and training staff are underrated.
Damn you quick with it in that case since james harden eye was injured in the same game do a video on that
I had a similar injury like his and also broke my middle phalanx
For some reason, I can bend my left index finger all the way back without it hurting or any cracking.
This is awesome. I had to watch the anatomy section because it was so informative. I still cant help but cringe when I look at it though.
Had this exact same injury over a month ago. Still have pain, and my finger is very tender. I been buddy tapping. Sucks.
If it's lebron, he would have want a 6 months rest.
Crazy Candy Crush he played with the eye injured against the warriors.. give the man respect
Crazy Candy Crush that doesn’t even make sense. Atleast pick someone who flops or is lazy to play
That finger gonna be swollen like a Twinkie in the morning 😂
Mike W he signed an oath
Good thing game 3 is on Saturday
Harden blinking at how fast this video was posted
Oh man a James Harden eye video would be quite appreciated! Thank you for this too though
Going to try and work on it today
Brian Sutterer MD thank you for that! I just got poked in the outer part of my right eye playing pickup the other day. Things were blurry for awhile and I especially felt disoriented while turning my head side to side. It’s like both of my eyes couldn’t meet at the same place at the same time, with my right eye being slower than my left. Harden’s injury definitely looks and sounds worse though.
I had this happen playing football. It hurt like hell for a week and took even longer to bend properly and fully without discomfort.
He can still play though. 👌
oh come on, it doesnt hurt so bad, its definitely unconfortable tho
@@lPlanetarizado it wasn't broken bone bad but it fucked up my pinky. It was way larger than the other pinky for well over a year.
@@kvltizt did you get the range of motion fully back for both flexion and extension? it got to like it was before?
How long was curry out for when this happened?
Do the Steve Nash lip injury!!
That finger reminded me of my finger from when I got in a motorcycle accident. Lol. Except it was 3 fingers, 1 wrist, a torn rotator cuff, bone bruise and a concussion.
I was a lineman in high school football. I jammed all 10 fingers at least once and broke both my pinkies. I also have double jointed thumbs lol
Damn this was interesting.
5 weeks ago I have the same injury on my right shooting hand. Dorso dislocation helping coach my daughter's basketball team. Going through therapy, but it still hurts.
how is it now?
@@siro8472 it’s 👍🏼 good
Will ice help?
this man uploaded this video so fast he probably didn’t even have time to put pants on 😭 he just threw on the shirt and tie
Do Corey Kluber next please
Could you do one on what’s going on with kanter’s shoulder? Is it similar to Paul George?
Different I think
Kanter injured his ac joint
Thank you!
When you have a UE rad tech anatomy test in the morning.... but still get to watch youtube.
You should go on the JRE podcast
The second the dislocation happens it hurts Alot no bs after a while it's tolerable but still painful
Is this a similar type of dislocation that Damian had?
That was fast👍👍👍
You bet! Watching the game and saw it happen , jumped on the vid while finishing the game
You should do a video on the Auburn gymnast who broke both of her legs a few weeks ago.
I did
Brian Sutterer MD oh lol
Wow great explanation what about Hardens eye injury?
Honestly sounds like just a cut on the eyelid..if we get more info I'll update
Still trying get range of motion back after breaking my wrist playing basketball
I'm in my 6th week of a mallet finger recovery. I thought he might've ruptured his extensor tendon.
Once I dislocated my pinkie and I put it back in place myself and it’s been fine every since
Pls explain why i like the feeling of a jammed finger ..man I'm weird
Damn. This dude works fast. He must know his shit.
I love your videos. You Taught me that when fracture a body part the first thing you want to do make sure blood is able to flow to the injury. Is that Usually not a concern with Dislocations? Or is it because the injury is Strictly a ligament and most of the time not bad enough to stop blood flow? Thank you and keep the videos coming. #ExtremelyInformative
I’m sorry. I got the chills, couldn’t finish the video
quick wit it aint it
