Outstanding video! Pretty in depth as far as telling what's needed, where everything is located, I'm a mechanic too and nobody really tells you EVERYTHING. You do a good job of making sure there isn't any hidden dangers.👍🏻 Excellent.

This helped me out immensely. I have a 2006 Malibu Maxx that I’m driving in the demo derby that has a dead power steering motor which makes it VERY difficult to steer. Went to the auto yard and switched it out. Works great

Hey Tina, I just had to replace the assist, but for another car I had to do both, long as its new you should be fine, buying used is very very risky. These electric motors had a recall on them a long time ago, and it is in the system that they are still suppose to honor the recall on these motors, but the dealership and the manufacturer are refusing to honor the recall on these motors. I was told that the recall only applied to certain vehicle’s with this motor. I just don’t think that is fair to people like me that are stuck with a motor going out on their steering column, causing your vehicle to stall and not want to steer. If you have any suggestions, please inform me. Thank you.

They said mines was changed already, so I ordered everything off of ebay after my assist start failing , (it's expensive) just for it to last 6 months, yep eventually went out again. It's a pain. But you will have to order brand new parts & install them, it's a pain in the behind.
