I learned about the controversy and ordered some immediately. I’m an adrenaline junkie.
Extraordinary as usual... thank you.
This is my favorite ink 💙 and enjoy writing pairing it with pilot metropolitan F nib (designated pen for Baystate). I will find feathering occasionally but not enough to keep me from using it. I do however add a drop or two of water in a mixing tube w/ the ink --> seems to keep it from drying up when I leave it in the pen for a long time w/out writing. Great review btw! 👊
Tremendously useful, excellent, and thorough demonstration, thank you. I am underwhelmed by the vibrancy in a Preppy 02. Gotta find a broader nibbed pen to dedicate to it I guess.
I keep my edc, a MB Mozart, loaded with Bay State Blue, and have never had a problem with it. Only once did another ink go inside this pen, and that was when I was at a pen show and had none of this ink, so refilled with a different blue ink, which I found to be entirely unsatisfactory. Someone recently posted on a Facebook fountain pen page that she thought I was brave or something similar. Not at all! Cleaning a glittery blue ink from an eyedropper-fill demonstrator pen today I had considerable difficulty removing the debris, was unable to get all the discoloration out of the cap, the section, even the tub of the ultrasonic bath. No such problems accrued to the pen that has BSB in it. Regarding your video, thanks for all the effort and the various unavoidable noises, but the accent was something like a Brooklyn accent as imagined by Hollywood, and not at all like a Boston accent. You do often amuse me, though, and I enjoy your care and attention to detail. Thank you.
I WORK ON CHEAP PAPER ONLY. ADDING HALF WATER HALF BSB, SOLVES AAANY ISSUE ! AND STILL LOOKS LIKE BSB !!!
🤔Live dangerously and see the most amazing BLUE ink ever & while you're at it, learn some DOs & DON"TS about how to use this truly fabulous ink.
What font was he using after the thick lines in the Fine section?, I love it and would love to learn it.
My Baystate Blue Feathers and Bleedthroughs like crazy. I love this ink but it is bleeding even on rhodia paper with EF nib. That’s a pity, because maintenance and difficulty of cleaning don’t bother me at all. Please recommend me something or give me some advice.
I had the same issue. Liberty's Elysium works better but it has hard starting issues because its quick drying
On the Fountain Pen Network, some users use a mix of 80% Baystate Blue + 20% distilled water to reduce the feathering.
Huh I get some hard starting in my pilot metro (m) but not much feathering and bleed through! Strange range of experiences with this ink
also known as Zeke, I noticed it works well with broader but dry nibs. It can be even Japanese EF, but if the nib is wet, it will bleed and feather.
you are extremely funny
You have rather nice handwriting.
I have had this ink do bad things to pens I’ve left it in for long periods of time. Often the feeds will fuse to the feed. The staining I don’t care about.
what the hell happened? why are my subscriptions spammed all of a sudden?
I published a playlist. I did not know my subscribers would get 69 notifications.
sbrebrown I was wondering how I had fallen so far behind.😆
No offense but your attempt at a Boston accent makes it sound like this ink should be named Brooklyn Blue.
:-) noted!
Why do you use dark lined notebook. İt is not attractive..
Video exposure - times change and technology has become a lot better & users have become educated in operation. It's an old video. Exposure systems often used to reduce all scenes to a 20% grey.
