4 chicken leg quarters (skin removed)
2-3 limes
1-2 habanero or scotch bonnet peppers
thyme
2 tbsps garlic
1 tbsp ginger
2 tbsps walkerswood green seasoning
3-4 green onions
curry seasoning
all spice
2 carrots
2 russet potatoes
2 onions
1 can coconut milk
2 tbsps low sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp chicken bouillon

My uncle was from Trinidad too and his chicken curry was literally the BEST I’ve ever had! Haven’t had it since he passed away but I’m hoping this comes close!

Good job adding the coconut milk as some islands do not include this. Adding coconut milk makes for a richer, more delicious sauce. Great recreation of a traditional meal.
Us Trinis don't use coconut milk of we're eating it with rice or roti. We tend to use the milk if it's a curry crab or eating the protein with dumplings.

I’ve gotta say, I’m impressed! For those who are triggered about cleaning your chicken…all you have to do is clean your surfaces with a diluted bleach solution, afterwards. And don’t come at me about bleach in the kitchen because I bet you wouldn’t flinch as you tell me to add bleach to water to purify it for drinking!
Bleach? No, honey. Use vinegar. Bleach is not consumable 😣
@@mggob_ Hi, honey. Vinegar works, as well. Yes, you can sanitize your kitchen surfaces by using a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach to 32 oz of water. Once the solution evaporates from the surface, sodium hypochlorite is no longer an issue. Do what works for you.
What? What are you talking about? Who adds bleach to water to purify it? Water is already pure. Why are you drinking or using dirty water for?

My best friend’s mom is from Trinidad and she taught me how to make this when we were in high school, however her recipe didn’t include coconut milk. I can’t wait to try it this way!!
Coconut milk is optional for chicken, but a must for crab and shrimp.

@MrMakeItHappen please consider making Haitian Spaghetti 😊 I’m African American and made it last night and it was 🔥 There are so many recipes on this app for Haitian spaghetti but it can be confusing to follow sometimes and understand 😭 Your videos are so easy to follow along and you explain things so well. 🙏🏽 My husband said it was the best spaghetti he ever had but I have nothing to compare it to.
