Hey guys! In this video I’ll show you guys how to make the best Jamaican Curry Chicken ever! This is a very easy step-by-step recipe that will have you cooking the most delicious Curry Chicken.
Below are a list of Ingredients:
2 lbs Chicken Leg Quarters (Parts of your Choice)
2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Everything Seasoning
5 Whole Spice
1 tsp Ginger Powder
1 tsp Tumeric
1 tbsp Curry Powder
1 tsp of Salt
1 tsp Paprika
Pinch of Black Pepper
1 tsp Avocado Oil
Small piece of fresh Ginger
4 Cloves of Garlic
2 Stalks of Thyme
Medium Sized Onion
Small Red Pepper
Small Green Pepper
Small Potato
Small Carrot
2 Cup Water

So glad to see people using gloves while cooking. I saw another video before this one and no gloves, cross contamination and raw a** chicken cooked only for about 20 mins total and I was just as appalled as the other commenters by what we saw lol. I grew up with many Trini and Jamaican friends and was always taught to do what you called "burning the curry" or something and I noticed that does really bring out the curry flavor. Great video; simple and to the point and easy for those of us who are not professionals to make and enjoy regularly. I LOVE anything curry. Thank you!

Indian Butter Chicken is a Masala Garam curry dish that actually calls for tomato paste/sauce. So, there is nothing about tomato that ruins the curry flavor - but, it may not be appropriate for Jamaican Curry. Not all curry dishes are from the same region or have the same signature flavors.

Jamaican taste and curry chicken is different from Indians. Jamaicans left out maybe 100 spices and add their own unique spices to fit their taste. Both dishes taste different and South India who inspired Jamaica curry dont use tomatoes in curry

Tomatoes or ketchup in Jerk or brown chicken stew, but otherwise i`m absolutely with your Mom, NONE of those in the curry, as the acid & the sweetness overrides the curry signature.
*Edit. This is the best Curry Chicken recipe i`ve found so far on YT - The twist with the potatoes in order to thicken the sauce is one of my favorite hacks and i`m glad to see you doing it too! 😁

Very very very good recipe fried onion and shallots and fresh ginger with the curry then switched the potatoe for yam 👌🏾now wishing I added more yam lol used more water as the yam did a beautiful thickening job
