United need to get rid of most of their players before they get rid of the manager. They also need to get rid of the medical staff. There have been over 60 separate injuries at United this season. There have been multiple injuries across the back line. The reason we don't have a left back is because the medical staff told ten Hag that both Shaw and Malacia would be fit in January so they let the loaned left back go back to his club. Well Malacia seems to have disappeared and Shaw shows up for a game and disappears for a few months. Then there's Mason Mount who has only played a handful of games.
When CIty lost just one player in Rodri for a couple of games, they struggled. United have been losing players, getting them back and losing them again all season.
In the entire squad there are maybe 4 or 5 players that should absolutely be kept around and most of them are young players. The rest need to be shown the door. It's not going to matter who the manager is, whether it's ten Hag or someone else, if they have to deal with this squad.

I'm not convinced 5 managers were all bad. I'm not convinced Ten Hag is bad. He's hardly played the same 11 this season. I feel there were decisions at the top thst have got United in this hole. It was never about the managers.
What could Ten Hag do about a handball? What could he do about a badly deflected ball that went in?
I say give everything he needs in one more season. I feel like Onana will come good with a steady consistent back line. Hojlund had started scoring goals. Mainoo will improve more. Fernandes needs his previous role uptop wuth the striker back. Not having to loiter everywhere.

Beyond that, the entire club wants throwing in the bin. The owners, the board, the manager and coaches, and most players. I know we shouldn't live in the past, but 90% of those players wouldn't even be in the reserve squad with SAF.

5:21 Neville is showing his hand here. ETH had no natural left back, so he had to play AWB there. He had none of his starting centre backs so he had to start Maguire and Casemiro. He had no natural defensive midfielder to replace Casemiro in midfield, so he had to start a 19 year old there instead. Rashford has been an embarrassment of a professional since getting his new contract, but ETH has no other options to replace him. 5 out of the 8 outfield players named on the bench were youth team players. 6 if you count Diallo.
Now, all that said, those players should still have enough capability and character to hold on to a 3-0 lead. But trying to present this scenario as only 2 players missing is revealing.

Carragher speaking about Man Utd… hilarious. Look how poor Liverpool were with results last season when they lost key defenders. ETH is not the problem. 3 finals in two seasons is better than any other manager since SAF.
Gary - when you have injuries you also up the workload on those that are fit. They don’t get a break and they suffer. Garnacho is a great example… he’s knackered and it’s evident in his games since the internationals. ETH is replacing the younger players to try and avoid injuries - especially to players who are still growing physically.
Todays game? He didn’t have anyone on the bench to replace our CBs. Casemiro being one of them… good result. Excellent first 70 minutes. Unlucky deflection for second goal and a questionable penalty for the third.

I don't think that ETH is the long term answer for United but it probably makes financial sense to keep him for another season and clear out players like Casemiro, Varane, McTominay, Maguire, Rashford, Bruno, Eriksen and maybe a few others that aren't good enough for United but also want regular football. This squad will drop off even more next season, irrespective of manager, especially as other teams strengthen further.
I think United should make a few signings of upcoming youngsters and get some experience at the spine of the team with free agents, probably aim for top 4 next season and get a new manager in 2026.
My only concern with Bruno is that it's difficult to build a team around him because he drifts out of position too much and doesn't have natural pace to make up for it. He also doesn't do well in a team trying to slow the game and take control of possession. He likes players moving into spaces faster than is happening at United, so his early passes actually gives away possession more often than not. A more natural number 10 may be better for United.

The problem with these players are that when other teams are gearing up and making the game quicker they are struggling with decisions and quality. Maguire takes so long on the ball. Rashford is indecisive. There's should be a big clear out the coming years. Fans need to be patient. If Ineos choose to stick with Ten Hag we should back him behind a proper structure. Eth has to go he constantly makes negative substitutions that cost us goals and points. Attack is the best form of defence

ETH getting fired would probably be the worst thing to happen 🤦🏾‍♂️ I still want to see that man under a proper football structure.

Coventry's offside goal might be Ten Hag's 'Mark Robins saving SAF' moment that might end up saving his job!

Hard to say tbh because the players are woeful and ten Haag was decent at Ajax but again he has brought these players with big fees and big wages so he does have to responsibility on that front but it is down to the players to perform as well! maybe one more season with a clearout and backing in summer and see how he fairs out

We have this cycle every season. It's the players and the culture. It's not the managers.

I'm actually beyond fed up with this squad of players now. Manager maybe doesn't help himself at times, but the players have given up on yet another coach and that is absolutely unacceptable.
They are the common denominator in the demise of every single manager post-Ferguson. They are not good enough and they will throw the next manager under the bus too.

I think its disgraceful and disrespectful to even be asking these questions. No other manager in the league has had to deal with 65 plus injuries this season or any season. Give him players who can consistently stay fit and lets see what we can do. Ineos need to back him firmly. Ten hag strongly in!
