The idea of being selfish needs to be replaced with being selfless.. selfishness comes from a negative point and can hurt other people by doing things from a point of selfishness. However selfless moments means me filling into myself to pour out to others. The power of the tongue can change how we receive things..❤❤❤
that’s all perception. selfish has been made to be negative. I don’t see it that way, but you may and that’s your choice. I’m not selfless. I’m not only filling myself for others. I’m caring for myself first. Then I’m able to show up best in all the other roles I occupy.
Undersood. I was referring to the Oxford definition of selfish which means to be characterized as someone who only has interest of oneself without regard to the welfare of others. Me taking time to recuperate and gather myself is not selfish as per the dictionaries meaning. It's simply me taking care of myself to take care of others.
