In the 90's through early 00's Japanese games released in South Korea (especially in the arcade) were heavily censored on Japanese language content and imagery. Best example I can give is Street Fighter Alpha 3. Load up the ASIA region arcade version and you'll start to notice things right away. There's also the fact that Japanese companies couldn't even release their own games and systems in Korea without going through another company like Samsung (Mega Drive and Saturn for example).

Yeah, I remember visiting my cousins in South Korea in 1987 and being comforted that they have an NES too! Later in life when I discovered the Famicom, I started to wonder "wait, wouldn't they release the Famicom in Korea versus the NES?", and that let me down a huge rabbit hole about how Japanese merchandise was banned in South Korea until like 2000 (and as late as 2006) and therefore Korean companies would skirt around those laws by importing AMERICAN versions.
Samsung/Hyundai: _"Yeah is says 'Nintendo' on it, but we're importing it from 'Nintendo of America', which is an American company, not a Japanese one, and therefore it doesn't count against the ban!"_
      ROK Gov't: _"Sounds legit."_

Pandemonium on the Saturn is another one where the Japanese version is very different. It's called Magical Hoppers and features different characters that even have slightly different attacks. It also has a traditional anime intro instead of the 3d polygon rendered intro of the US version.

Sagat; Tiger Uppercut MP and HP versions can knock down grounded oppobents.
Dictator: Psycho Crusher hits less against blocking opponents (less chip dmg).

Hope this Sunday will have a video.
If not then I understand the constant grinding every time to complete that scheduled routine.

I know you were totally kidding about the human brain being smaller than 8Mb, but you inspired me to look it up. Apparently, the human brain has a memory capacity of 2.5 million gigabytes! In the famous words of the Saturday morning cartoon sages, "Now ya know!" Lol

Joe shows tremendous restraint in talking about exile and not mentioning Ys III

When Joe mentioned how long ago it was since the first regional differences I was a bit shocked. I've been watching for that long. I guess since Joe continues to make a good show, you don't notice. Good job Joe!

This is easily my favorite channel. Like.. hands down nothing comes close. Thank you so much for the years of great content. I always fear you're going to run out of stuff to talk about but luckily it just ain't happening! I would love an episode dedicated to the violence wars of the 90's.. all the games trying to out gore each other. Time Killers, NARC, Weapon Lord (such a fucking AWESOME game with online SNES multiplayer!), Mortal Kombat, Splatterhouse, Battletoads Arcade, etc.
