Meh. Considering the miserable way season 7 went down, I'm glad they never did Mini's storyline. They probably would've ruined her and Alo too.

I found the 'squad' dynamics of gens 2 and 3 really forced. There was just no reason why they should have become the groups they became based on the relationships they all had. With gen 3 it was a random instigation by Mini that everyone just went along with (seemed she did so because she could no longer trust her main two and wanted Grace back) but at least they did become an actual group. Gen 2 never had a proper squad dynamic imo.

I'll agree that gen 3 friendship felt forced but gen 2 and gen1 are awesome.
I found more realistic gen 2 squad, I mean, in real life gen 3 characters would never have been friends, their personalities were so different
it’s probably because the writers had gen 1 starting the series already being friends and it made more sense since each gen only had 2 fairly short seasons which was not enough to develop a believable friendship between a whole group of people who just met. gen 2 friendships were kinda forced at the beginning because the writers didn’t make them all suddenly love each other after 3 episodes unlike gen 3 who underdeveloped every relation ship that was worthwhile
That's because in Generation 1 the group all grew up together. 2 & 3 there were different factions just getting to know each other and hanging out.
please make another generation, please bring skins back

Degrassi was never anything like this 😂 it was far too censored and Hollywood, at least the 2000 and up version. Skins was a far better show altogether with interesting characters
