In the beginning I loved Franky and Hated Mini by the end I loved Mini and hated Franky.

Skins does it in every generation. Some of the likeable characters at the start turn into disliked ones and vice versa.
@@elizaidatejeda7102 I seriously think that Tony (generation 1) and Effy (generation 1/2) really change in fcked up sorts of ways. Tony nearly died from being hit by a bus at the end of season 1, and Effy nearly died from cutting her wrists after doing too many drugs in season 4.

I think it’s just too clean. Like the first four seasons were messy, the characters always looked hungover or high, in Cassie’s episode she woke up at a house party completely covered in food, that kind of atmosphere. I’m pretty sure I saw a dick at some point or almost saw one. It was less dirty by gen 2 but still kept up a ‘I could care less’ attitude + drugs/ alcohol/ sex obsession that many people liked.
Gen 3 feels too American to me.

I mostly just watch this gen for Grace and Rich, plus the actress who plays Mini does an incredible acting job. It's not like this generation was completely horrible, but it just feels like there's a certain vibe that's missing from season 5 and 6 that the seasons before had.

Still, I think in series 6 these characters evolved tremendously and I loved the storylines and how they dealt with you-know-who's death.

And then Frankie turned into an absolute weapon. Treated everyone like shit, was partly responsible for Graces death and blamed everyone else for what she did. She was an awful person by the end.

Right? They changed her up so much, I guess they wanted to make her misguided because of the fact that she was adopted but damn. The good points of that gen was: Rich and Grace (but they FUCKED that one up for no reason at all), androgynous Franky (because she wasn't being a lil bitch running around with random dudes for thrills), and.. Well yeah

But it can be for some people. I know of someone who was like her in their teens but are completely different now. People don't always say the same so it isn't totally unrealistic. And I don't remember where but I read an article giving a theory on Franky's transformation & it said that a contributing factor could be her having sex & losing her virginity. Something about sex awakens something in you & in Franky's case, something about being sexually active made her embrace femininity more.
Dunno where the pansexual thing came from? Lmao did they confirm her sexuality or was that just an assumption??

To be honest, season 5 & 6 were not my favorites. Although, I got attached to the characters who were amazingly written. My favorite characters were Grace, Rich and Matty. I am a huge Skins fan and proud to be. ❤️😄
+Dreamland I enjoyed seasons 1 to 4 as they were well written and the characters were more interesting and were more well driven. Here 5 & 6 didnt meet up to those and just went downhill.
the 5th season was so cliche and then the characters on season 6 were evolving but it wasn't exactly a good thing like franky , how could she change her whole personality after losing her virginity?

Only here for the beginning part with Rich and Alo they crack me up.
I actually did like series 5 but it was missing the emotion which was weird because the opener was a lot more serious than those of 1 and 3. But I felt when they tried at emotion it just came across as cringey, such as Mini losing her virginity, Franky discovering the pictures of her put up, that scene where Rich loses his hearing
I used to really like franky, her character, the first season was great,and her style was completely! unique, the second season of gen 3, she'd developed severe ptsd, not surprisingly, but also, it seemed borderline personality disorder, which made her v promiscuous and not caring whom she fucked over with her new found sexuality.
and her style, swapping how she looked here, for tea-dresses, and hair clips, and a bitchy attitude, apart from the last few scenes with her in it, with her sister, finding their mother.
that was brilliant, & superbly acted, imo.

as for the character of mini, (mehhh-nee, and no offence to any of her fans)
never cared either way, a basic bitch is a basic bitch.
it would have been early after there seasons, but would have been interesting if they'd had an episode catching up with how rich was dealing, and did franky go into a much needed psych unit for support, and how alo and mini wr coping as parents, etc.

This was a weak moment / time in skins. It regressed into some over-done early 2000’s mean girls chick flick schtick. It was not skins. I don’t know what the writers were thinking. Can’t believe this was 2011/2012. More like 2004.
