Another thing, if you got a 3d scanner and some big 3D printers, you could just make these dash kits one time, scan them, then build a library of fully printable iPad ready dashboards. All you would have to do is the finish work and make them pretty.

Hey Dougie. Use the speaker pods. Whether you use them “As is” or “Modify them”, it will be wayyy better than sticking them in the factory location, which is practically right by your left ear on the drivers side.

I have a 97 grand marquis it’s a great system vehicle. When tuned to 25hz I broke the trunk locking mechanism and tore sheet metal and pulled out rivets. So I had to bolt down my trunk. Back then I had solo x 18 motors “originals” on 15 inch frames a pair with a Stetsom 8k 2 ohm 2 XSpower d7500’s and a 350 amp US Alternator just to say the least. 3 Stetsom single channel 1600’s with Stetsom DSP powering 4 8 inch loud speakers in rear and 2 3inch tweeters in back and 6 total 6.5 in front 3 in each door definitely will get some custom pods. I gutted my back seat area and cut out the rear panel where the 6x9’s were cause I just couldn’t get it to stop moving and rattling. I know have a pair of custom Adire Audio Kalis 3500 rms each on a Slaps Audio 8k. Always been a fan but will definitely watch this new project cause I have plans to revamp my set up it’s been about the same for bout 3 years now with no issues but I have some ideas and a accumulation of parts that I can’t wait to install……

Check out Stereo Integrity TM65s. Mounting depth of 2.2". Very cool design and phenomenal sound.
If you go air ride, I fit a 5 gallon air tank behind the rear bumper cover with minor trimming of the bumper (the actual metal reinforcement). I'm doing 2 15's in a 6th order rear deck blow thru so space in the trunk is scarce. I put the compressors tucked into the rear quarters as much as possible, I think I'm going to put a 3 gallon tank up front behind the bumper. I dumped the exhaust before the axle and where the rear tailpipes run you might be able to fit 2 of those long cylinder tanks.
I wish I had the room for hydros but the ease of just running one electrical system and no room as I'm wanting to retain factory interior minus the rear deck of course.

Should try out some double din and single din mountable iPad and iPhone universal mount. I don’t keep cars long enough to mod one in. But would love a way to just have a side slider style mount I could bolt into a scosche double din or single din kit and snap into the dash.

wipe down SEM color coat with 70% IPA it really smooths it out...makes it nice and smooth
