Yes but nowhere near as long as the money grab excursions that have been going on for the past 60 years with the last 30 ramped up to multiple locations at the same time. And the funding of other wars to grab real estate across the planet.

At this point he's just using the word bass wars to get people to click on his video. Not to mention even though this was just uploaded 16 hours ago I swear I've seen this build before so now he's even redoing old builds, and if it's not, then he's doing a lot of rebates because I've seen quite a few of this very same type of box on his channel; and it has absolutely nothing to do with the bass war😂. Mark from car audio fabrication dropped out, and Doug has pretty much dropped out he just keeps name-dropping bass war 4 clicks. EXO already had the bass war won quite some time ago in my opinion. And after seeing the quality of his build, the rigidity of the cabin that EXO was building; I think Doug bitched up with his little Astro van and pulled out because all he's ever really done was small box fabrication and new that EXO was making him look like a joke. The craziest part about it is that EXO does most of his builds with common hand tools and still out competes😂 whereas these guys have dedicated shops and specialized equipment😂😂😂😂😂😂 So like I said he's just name-dropping "BASS WAR" for clicks. Hell that's why I clicked I thought he was jumping back in, then I saw this little rinky-dink box that he built and realized that he trolled me into giving him an extra view. I don't like deception. I used to watch dugs channel religiously back in the day when it was actually good, but I stopped watching a while ago because it just turned into nonsense and repetition. But I still stayed subscribed to watch something here or there. But after multiple bass War deceptive clickbait titles; I'm tired of being trolled by this guy for views cuz he can't come up with anything interesting or original anymore. I'm out now. Unsubscribed 🤷. There is no more bass war. Every single person that was involved that anyone cared about anyways has pretty much dropped out. The only one that remained consistent in the still working on their build is EXO. And so in my opinion he has already won it 💪. Crazy to how he keeps bagging on Mark and I've heard a few comments about EXO; yet I watch both of their channels more than I ever have his 🤷 the best thing that he has done on this channel in my opinion was the original box for the mule.

Love the vids Doug! The only thing is that when you calculated for port length for tuning, the port was all internal and now that some is external, it will change the tuning frequency of the box because of its now different internal air volume due to volume displacement. Shouldn't be too drastic of a change though for this build. But sometimes those little miscalculations can be the difference between a good sounding system and a great sounding one. I hope this channel is around forever! Keep up the awesome work! 🤜🤛🤘👍💪🔥

Terminals would look cleaner if they were closer to an edge and in line with the port, either vertical at the back or horisontal at the bottom.

Would also have installed the woofers symmetrically so the JL logos mirrored each other instead of having them both angled to the same side.

I have a question I was hoping you can help me with,I have 2016 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk kl it came oem with 8.4 uconnect 6 speaker non premium Systeam,since then I’ve added after market kenwood excolone touch screan after market door speakers all new ofc wiring for speakers and amplifiers,the problem I’m having is that the driver door always always sounds distorted,I can put bran new speaker bran new wiring and still get same results,what could it be?
Could be door panel resonance. Do you have any deadening treatment in the door?

I just can’t pin it,doesn’t matter if I put bran new door speakers or not it’s just driver door all the time
Gotta be something with the door. I had one once (rear door) that did that with multiple speakers. Turns out the mounting surface was not straight and it kinda torqued the basket just enough to get the coil off center which screwed up the linearity and had a little “rub”. I installed a speaker ring of foam and fixed it. That could be your situation
I bought a couple of these 8s off of FB Marketplace… thought they were 10s… not gunna talk about it. But to my surprise the fuckin bump with 600 watts goin to them so I ain’t mad

I’m not a bass head and just want an even good proper sound quality like the way the song was mixed by the recording sound engineer intended it. A proper balance and not over powering muddy bass. For a 2002 Suburban what is best for listening to classic rock like the Foo Fighters and Van Halen what kind of subs and box would sound the best and have quick punchy kick drum and bass guitar? Sealed or ported for tight accurate reproduction?
A couple 10 inch in a sealed box for rock. Sounds good for punchy bass of rock. That's my opinion😊

I can believe people will bend over and want JL to bang em in the ass... $329 for an 8" sub with a small motor and a steel frame!?!? Highway robbery. The recoil echo pro 8" is actually better looking and uses the exact same frame and I believe the motor is slightly larger or the same motor i bet they come from the same build house, BUT the echo pro is $60! What an 8" built from those components should be. And as far as the JL is better and has way better SQ I will debate that I would love to see a blind A B test and I bet after the JL buyers would be wtf seriously what did I get for the extra $270??? It's amazing what people will spend for a logo, The worst part is that the jl logo is gonna be hidden lol. But can't knock JL if they can fool people why not I guess.
