I saw that 49cc sticker, you’re not fooling anyone.
🙂
haha BUSTED! It does make for a good laugh though lol :)
man i have watched a heap of bike videos, that is sick dude, well done
Bro nastyyyy!!(= that must sound perrrty love me some 4stroke power this is another awesome build brother really digging the classic look it took😁✊🔥
MY GOD IS THIS GUY GOOD!!!!!!
Here in London, UK we don't realy have anything like these type of bikes anywhere and as a fella that loves going to car/truck shows, weather is be F1 race weekends, BSB, British Superbike racing, vintage/ classical festivals ect and every show has its custom bikes and the last 2 yrs or so I've started to see electric bicycle stands here and there and I'm sure that as the yrs go by more and more will be popping up from what I've seen lately and the way the industry is blowing up. But the motorised bicycles are very few & far in between yet they are All 50-80cc! Mosylyc2 stroke but plenty of 4 strokes too! Saw a couple frames similar to the one here but nothing as well built or sexy looking then one here! And that 212cc engine too! The engineering work that has gone into this lads frame is bloody outstanding!!! And the 2 stroke....! Did you see that beauty!!!!! Can't wait untill his video drops on that one! Does anybody else out there have one of these 212 engines? If so how well do they run? How much are they and some tips on the pros and cons would Be extreamly helpful! Anybody know the torque & horse power To this beauty too?. To the lad who built your bike... your design and workmanship is truly incredible! You realy should think about patterning your design that you had machined out as I've never seen that before.
Well done fella. A true born bloody genius!!!
Totally awesome man. Getting ready to do my version of original 1900’s Harley bike but with tillitson 212. Should be interesting! Like your channel! Thanks for sharing!!
With a license plate this could become a full blown motorcycle to be honest! And made with bicycle parts too! I could imagine applying a lot of what you’ve done with it to more sophisticated designs like a recumbent tricycle.
A recumbent trike would be a very interesting build to see. The possibilities are endless with these things. Only limit is your imagination!
Bikelife570
I doubt it would be functional on a tadpole so that’s where a delta design would work. It would have to be wide and very long to accommodate for the engine. Then there’s the idea of adding bodywork to make it like a velomobile but with a stupidly efficient engine. That would be the complicated part, but once the original idea is sound I wouldn’t be complaining to get an extra 30 kph of speed on level ground; perfectly able to keep up with cars on the freeway around my area. It would look like a really tiny supercar but with the look of a 1948 Davis Divan. All three wheels could be enclosed inside of the bodywork as well for crapshoots and giggles.
I'd also like to say yours is the first Predator I've seen with the cylinder pointing straight up like that. I built a stretched frame around the engine to get mine bolted down.
Its a beauty, where u been, no videos in a wile, ggz 👽
Mister, you need to ditch that one speed drive, and get yourself a series 30 torque convertor from Go Power Sports, tell them to replace the clutch in the 30 kit with one of their Juggernaut clutches. Before you hit the road, take two zip ties, to the innermost spring on the governor and thread one through the spring, then slide the 2nd zip tie over the first so that they stop the spring from stretching, basically, over-riding your governor. Then, find the throttle stop screw and back it out about halfway. Because you have a cast iron 3 magnet flywheel, you'll have to keep it under about 5,000rpm, but that's 1,400rpm more than you had before, and, in combination with the new CVT, your bike will ride, accelerate and glide down the road, like never before. I guarantee you will fall in love with this setup, the same way I love my 212 MTB, set up very similar to yours, with a few upgrades being a retired machinist, tool & die maker allows me to do. It's more expensive, but it's 20th century equivalent to a 3 speed automatic transmission. to a one speed, 18th century design. Don't scrimp on the clutch, the Juggernaut is light years better than the 30, but, you can use the inner clutch plate as a crankshaft stop by matching holes up in the side cover, so you can torque on your flywheel, so, it is good for something. Just a word of warning, this setup will pick the front end up, easily when accelerating away from a stop, so, take it easy till you get a feel for the beast.
Looks great. Thanks for sharing.
I got that same seat on my bike from Amazon. It's not the most comfortable seat but it looks nice and does the job. Dope bike dude
Thanks bro! But yeah you’re right that seat looks way more comfortable than it actually is lol. Def not great for really long rides
That's how we , the pros do it. This the best build on the tube , I bought one of those mufflers on eBay also. I am running a Subaru Robin engine. I put a perforated 3/4 inch diameter defuser pipe down that megaphone , welded thru a cap ,It's now much quieter, more power, more top rpm . Wide open is not always the best.
Very nice!
This is where I want to get my phatmoto at. Just big engine good lighting like that. Working breaks and blinkers. Your bike looks amazing. I'm writing down notes. Maybe not as specific of an engine build, I haven't ever looked into billit parts and good clutches.
Me too man, just got a "cheap" $599 discount phatmoto and I want to transplant the predator ASAP. Thinking about getting a second one for a two stroke build Cafe racer too. I'm sure the heavy engine in this bike destroys any good handling through the corners, but probably worth it for the torque pull
That’s actually pretty cool. My kids want to do a motorized bike so they can run around town.
Nice bikes!!!
Thanks man! I love nerding out over this stuff lol
Nice bike
Do you have a tutorial on how you are the lights or a video on just the light set up. If not you should there's not a lot of tutorials on setting up lights on a bike
wrap one of those string bracelets little girls used to make around that dirty hub and itll polish to a mirror as you ride. Old trick we used to do as kids with our hubs.
Will the engine be okay with the cylinder facing up, like that.?
?
Sick
Nice motorcycle.
How did you mount the engine? Its it welded to the frame?
Great video I love the bike, I like how you have a rechargable battery for the light situation. Definitely helps me with mine but how did you connect it to the lights? You spliced the connector on the battery or is there one available?
I'll pay for your time if need be, I have a Coleman CT200u I want to adapt that setup to it.
Yeah what I ended up doing was changing the connector to a waterproof twist lock 12v dc connector that I could hook up to the one I spliced into the power line for the lights. That way it was a quick disconnect from the system for charging
Nice work. Lotsa $$$$ in this bikes. Especially this motors.
Thanks! Yeah lots of time and money go into building bikes like these. I enjoy the build just as much as I do riding the finished product
@@PhysiqueGeek it shows
@@starsoldier3643 I appreciate it!! I am beyond excited to get started on the newest one 😁
@@PhysiqueGeek how much do you sell these for?
@@starsoldier3643 I don't really build for other people, very rarely at least. In my experience, it is often too much of a hassle for how little you make off building them. Not to mention most people don't feel comfortable paying everything up front so I can order all the parts to build it for them. I'd love to turn it into a business, it really is my passion, but I don't have the money on my own to build enough bikes to get started.
I know this is a very old video so you probably wont see this, but how does it run tilted like that? Do you just remove the oil sensor?
smooove
Nice!!!
Wish I never got rid of this bike lol
I have a n&r built engine on my bike.
Took a domino label maker and made me a warning decal that said
WARNING NOT LEGAL FOR USE IN CALIFORNIA .49CC
And I stuck it on the pull start shroud.
It worked every time.....
Still got 1 ticket in San Antonio 79 in a 40 on military drive.
This is super nice man. and I’m curious, how’d u mount the engine?
he used a mount from ghettobike
niiice
RJ
Sooo pretty.
Make sure you got that blinker fluid for the blinkers 🤣🤣
How much is the exhaust pipe
Hey how fast is this?
What forks are those off of?
That's what the cool man how much you selling them for
Question- So am I able to mount a predator vertical with no probs? I just got to get a custome manifold is that right?
It depends a lot on what frame you are building on. The faker frames are just about perfect, but it still takes a little modification for a good fit when going vertical. One of the first things to do when trying to fit them in the frame is to take a grinder and cut the tab (used for adding an electric starter) down flush with the side (facing your downtube when its mounted vertical) of the block. That sits the engine lower in the frame allowing the stock (and aftermarket billet) valve cover to clear the top tube.
Next "big" obstacle is sorting out your drivetrain. I've seen many, many people get frustrated and give up on their builds because they bought jackshaft/torque converter kits that were designed for mini bikes and go karts, which don't work on a bicycle. The bearing housing on the output side of those plates sticks off the back so far that they run into the seat tube, making them unusable. Once you have the right mount, GTC Industries makes the best bicycle specific plates I know of, and the backswept intake it's pretty much smooth sailing from there. Unfortunately 99% of what's sold for them is designed around horizontal mini bike/kart setups so none of the pipes sold on places like GPS and OMB Warehouse will work vertically, without cutting and rewelding. You'll need to buy one from Ghettobike.com or get in touch with Steve Luenz at Kaos Kustoms to have one made up. Unless you can weld one up yourself of course.
You'll want to add extra oil as well, around 20-22oz is perfect, and drill the oil return in the block out to 1/4 so the oil doesn't pool up in the head when you're running it hard. Also, removing the governor system and tapping the holes to plug them up. 1/4-20 works perfect for the two governor holes and a cut down 7/16-20 bolt will plug the larger hole from where the low oil cut-off sensor came through. I hope this isn't too long winded lol, I could make a video better explaining it if you'd like
@@PhysiqueGeek Thanks, that answers most of my questions I appreciate it! Also I build custom frames with full suspension like a dirtbike and that is why I am wondering if I can run one vertical like that so I can start on a new frame design so now I can have more torque to go off road and that is what my builds are mostly for.
czcams.com/video/bxb0Hiq_ADc/video.html
@@jamesdoes576 Awesome man! Glad I could help. I respect the hell out of anyone that builds their own stuff. Having one of these little powerhouses in a full suspension frame would make for one hell of a fun offroad machine. I've been riding a full suspension electric "enduro" bike lately myself. Love the power delivery of a good electric motor, but god do I miss the rumble lol
@@jamesdoes576 cool video, I wish I would have had someone to get me into motorized bikes when I was younger. Took me til I was 20 to learn these things even existed, been addicted ever since lol
What run km?
😎👍
You should reinforce the frame and consider a nice weld
It’s something I definitely wanted to have done but I just never got around to it. I rode this bike hard every day for about a year and a half and thankfully the frame never cracked anywhere.
what is that bike frame called, looks like a motorcycle, i have been tryin to find it on the net, minarelli something but to no avail, what is the exact name please? I need a strong frame like that for builds like this that i am planning like 212 cc.
i meant the bike frame for the 2 stroke bike, but they both look the same
@@lylesloth1275 yeah they are both the same frames. google Felt Faker and it should bring up all the results for you. Like I said on the other video though, they are getting harder to find and more expensive by the day so don't wait too long. Happy hunting!
I wonder if you can use a torque converter ?
That's a very good question. I'm not entirely sure if you'd have been able to make a TC work with this mount setup since it was designed around a jackshaft system with a clutch. Even the ghetto bike vertical mount is designed around the use of a cent clutch. I've never personally run a torque converter so I'm not sure it's something you'd be able to adapt to one of these mounts.
@@PhysiqueGeek was thinking about a 136cc. With that im hoping to be able more mounting options. Im wanting to go with a torque converter. As far as ive read you dont want to go lower than 120cc and up to a 212. I wanna climb hills with no problem and thinking over built is good for reliability, but small enough to fit in a faker and run a TC
hay i like that shit dam thats nice
Where did you get the exhuast
The pipe itself is from Ghettobike but I had a friend weld up a slip fit adapter so I could add the muffler. These things are obnoxious with just a straight pipe lol
Why don't you 212cc guys ever show your bikes running.?
Top speed?
You should make me one as a gift. ;) I would use it daily. You get about 300hrs on those motors. So they say. Then they need some love.
Take care of it they'll go much longer
Nice bike sir I want the frame
Where did you get the seat post?
I bought it from ghettobike.com. It’s a very important piece of the puzzle for these high torque 212 builds. It sucks that they cost almost $60 though, maybe more now
@@PhysiqueGeek cool man! Thank you, good looking ride!🤙🤘
What headlight is on her?
That was honestly the cheapest led headlight (with integrated blinkers) going on Amazon when I bought it. Usual generic, unmemorable Chinese branding lol. It lasted me about a year before it finally cracked and started falling apart.
I've been having issues with James, I ordered parts almost a year ago and 12 weeks ago or so when he stopped responding to any form of communication and I haven't received my parts yet, do you have any recommendations on what I should do?
ahhh man that sucks...I've stopped recommending him to people for that very reason. He seems to be taking absolutely forever to complete even the most simple orders anymore, and I've talked to TONS of people who are dealing with the same communication issues. The best I can say is to ring his phone off the hook until he gets back to you. That's the only thing that seems to work.
@@PhysiqueGeek alright, I'll try to do that, a bit hard as he "opens" in the middle of my work day, also where did you get that mounting plate and jackshaft in your video
@@collinparks274 Best of luck to you on that one, I know it's a royal pain.
That jackshaft and mounting setup were a one off thing that I bought from a guy who was selling off some of his 212 bike parts. I came to find out afterwards that he had already "sold" it to at least 3 other guys before me. Only reason I actually received it was because I had his PayPal account locked until the transaction was taken care of. Thus, I don't put his name out there. This hobby can get real tricky in this regard
@@PhysiqueGeek ah damn, well at least I have an idea for a backup plan already, and do you have any good suggestions on where to get some rims fora 212 build while I wait for the ones from James?
@@collinparks274 Honestly outside of building them yourself there aren't many good options out there that can hold up to the 212's torque over time. Lynn (Mbrebel.com) has some decent choices for rear wheels, I think maybe 2 different 26" rears w/ 12g spokes and one 24" rear w/ 11g spokes, but they aren't exactly cheap. I can however guarantee that she will have them on your porch much, much faster than James will
What’s the difference between this & the hemi? Is it technically a Hemi with your modifications?
Any thoughts on electric start?
Hemi has a different head, and some parts aren't interchangeable between the 2. I believe you can tear down the non hemi head into more pieces. the reason they're just a little different is because 2 different factories in china make them, one makes the hemi and one makes the non hemi.
Hntzy On the vertical mount, did you get an aftermarket piston/crank arm the sloshes the oil around? /pickup. I have the 79cc & I want to do a vertical mount. I dislike the ghetto bikes front mount though because it attaches on the head studs (I think) whereas Pat makes an engine cradle.
You can purchase a manual clutch from sportsman but you need to purchase the entire 80 kit if you want the crank.
The main difference between the hemi and non hemi is the head, of course, hemispherical combustion chamber. Valves are angled instead of straight up and down. Flywheel has a different taper from the non hemi, hemi comes with a flat top piston, also cams aren’t interchangeable between the two. An electric start would be great but you either have to have a gear ring added to the billet flywheel (big $$$$) or use the Koehler flywheel which is already setup for it. Problem there is then you sacrifice your ability to run anything past 5500 or so rpms safely
Yes the ARC billet rods have a forced oil scoop on them that catches the oil every rotation, also you want to run about 5oz extra oil (20-22oz).
Do you have a link for that manual clutch? The only manual clutch I know of was made by 3D Motorsports and they’re no longer in business
St. Paul MN yeah that’s not a manual clutch. It’s centrifugal which means at a set RPM it throws those weights out and engages the clutch. Only manual clutch that was ever on the market for these engines was from 3D Motorsports. I had one on this bike before I parted it out to do the electric enduro build
What frame are you using
I always build on the CDH faker frames
Top speed run?
If you check out my other videos there's one in there where I hit 72mph on this bike
@@PhysiqueGeek cool thanks.
I seen some of your other videos i stumbled across this one hunting for a max out p212 build. A guy in our Facebook group claims he hit high 80s with a stage 3 build. No video though when asked for one he backed that claim up bye saying he did 70+ on a pk80 build not a am6 2t but regular pk80.. 🤔
@@ghettogrower5734 nice I’m happy it came up for you. CZcams doesn’t seem to share my stuff all that much. That’s one thing that always bugs me. Lots of guys making big claims but they shut right down the moment you ask for some video. I mean it’s all within the realm of possibility, BUT anyone that put in the time to get it to that speed is DEFINITELY getting some video so they can show it off lol
@@PhysiqueGeek Jesus Christ how much money do you have put into it?
Shake the camera n post a video trying to show mechanical detail. It'll be fun
I know....I know...the camera work is god awful lol. Believe me I'd love to redo it with a real camera now that I'm better but the bike is long gone
@@PhysiqueGeek it was actually fine after the very beginning, thanks for posting the video though!
@@michaeledwards3736 you got it! Happy you enjoyed watching it. I'm thinking about building another one this summer so we'll see how that goes
Guys you won’t be able to identify it as a motorcycle got the pure fact that no insurance company will insure it it’s considered as a homemade vehicle it doesn’t meet any specs or specification of a none home made vehicle
Why even call this a motorized bicycle? All you need is to get this registered and it is a motorcycle! What is the top speed on this bike?
It’s a bicycle. Now it’s as close to a motorcycle as you can get, yes, but it’s still a bicycle with working pedals
This bike topped out at 78mph the way it was geared
Bikelife570 Wow! That is even faster than some groms and smaller motorcycles.
Whiskers The Fish haha yeah it was pretty crazy to say the least. Definitely not something I recommend just anyone going out and doing. I sourced the absolute best parts I could for this build and I still wouldn’t call it a safe bike lol. It was safe for what it was but yeah haha.
That’s hilarious though. I actually did race a guy on a grom once and he was absolutely stunned when I walked right by him
@@PhysiqueGeek holy shit, how did the wheel bearings held up?
Dude..... bikes that comes with fenders are dangerous enough as it is when adding motor to it. And here you are doing that setup which doesn't look well reinforced, I would suggest you either take it off or make damn sure those fenders are extra extra secure. There are many horror stories concerning fenders collapsing causing serious injury to people.
oh believe me I know. These are dirt bike fenders that are held together and mounted to the bike with 1/4 aluminum flat bar. As well as steel sheet metal under them, which you can't see here. I'm confident in saying they are just fine. I rode this bike hard and fast for well over a year and the fenders were never a concern. Now regular off the shelf bicycle fenders, no, do not run them.
Trust me I've built quite a few of these high end motorized bikes. I know all about the issues with cheap mtb/beach cruiser fenders
Bacha sa ka
Is so sick 🤮 am making chopper mountain bicycle 212 dirt bike is so sick 🤮💖✨🌟💖🤞🤘🤟✌️✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
The cigarette was almost more than I could handle 😂 Dork level: 1,000,000 x eleventy 🤣
That's not a so called stage 4 set up just what is your top end and put it on video don't run a 24 on a 20+ hp. Lol
Maybe you could call it stage 3.5 or something then. The only difference between this setup and say an NR Stage 4 kit is it's only running the 27/25 valves and I only had the 26lb valve springs. It had a ported head, +0.02" billet rod, +0.02" flat top piston, billet flywheel, .265 cam, chromoly push rods, champion rockers, TM24, 2 staged header, GB backswept intake. This bike is long gone so I can't make any new videos of it, but I assure you I had this doing 78mph and it could have done more. I got nothing prove ya know, if it only did 60mph I'd tell you. Also the TM24 is perfect for that power range.
Had to quit watching. Got motion sickness
sorry man lol I did this with my old iphone 6s before I was really taking this seriously. Wish I still had the bike, I'd make a new one
do you have parkinsons next time get someody to hold the camera
As a matter of fact I do have YOPD. Asshole
What the hell is the point of making a video if you're not going to crank up or ride the bike?
Well, I already did a few of them, and people said what the hell is the point of this video if you aren't going to walk around the bike for us. So here it is. Lol.
Top Speed?
