  • After 4 months in hibernation, I took the opportunity to Run the B class for the first time this year. The loco was built in the mid 2000's using the original works drawings from Sharpe Stewart. It appears as the full size loco did in the early 70's with many of the alterations from the original design. Although the loco runs on 3.5" gauge it is larger and heavier than many 5" gauge engines.

Fantastic loco! Loved it!! I'm planning to build this one from the stores articles by Ray McMahon that appeared in ME.

You’ll you know where I could find plans, castings ?
I would love to see more video of your engine.
    Thank you

There aren't plans or castings for this engine. It is a one off using the original works drawings and machined from solid stock. There are plans available from Blackgates engineering for a very similar locomotive.
