    I have one of the 12 inch long models of this locomotive made by a DHR employee in Darjeeling. He was hoping to make it live steam but he contacted me to say he was having difficulties sourcing components and there would be a long delay for the live steam version, so I opted for the static, albeit beautifully made model. Unfortunately it got a bit damaged in transit with its case being smashed but I managed to straighten out the few bent bits. PS looking again at mine this morning it is an A Class not a saddle tank B.

    Heck of a transformation. Even with the inside frames, lovely job.

      We have 3 more Fowler videos almost ready to publish,……. But each is awaiting the final parts of its subject matter completing so they tell a coherent story. Hopefully very soon for the coupling rod/connecting rod film which will be next! 🙂

    Rides surprisingly well given the short wheelbase.

      Proportionally comparable to a real B Class so we were pretty confident it would work! 😁

    Is it based off an Indian narrow gauge locomotive? It kinda looks like that Indian locomotive that’s currently at the Fairbourne Railway in Wales

    What kind of valve motion does that machine have? I don't recognize it.

    • @TheSteamWorkshop
      @TheSteamWorkshop  Před rokem

      It has Hackworth valve gear, as it is actually a heavily re-built & modified Romulus, which is a 7 1/4” design that uses that motion. 🙂

      I’m afraid we are flat out busy with preparing models for customers in the workshop, so we rarely get time to get ahead of the game, preparing & steaming locos before they have sold. But everything is made to work fully and well before it leaves our workshop, and at that point we’d happily be able to film the loco running and working fully before delivery. Apologies for being a bit too busy to get the Jessie running and filmed before it has a customer on it…… but hope that makes sense.
