  • Summer in San Francisco gets pretty foggy and cold and this year is no different. Taken in the last week of June 2020 this is what it really looks like here for a few months. Starting in the Presidio we make it up to Twin Peaks while I make a quick breakaway to Golden Gate Park from the group(To take drone shots, they came out meh so not shown here). Unfortunately with rising Covid #'s BAESK8 has smartly decided to be on the safe side and hold up on these for awhile so this may be the last one for awhile.
    Thanks for watching and as always hope you enjoyed the ride.
    *The Electric Life is my life! Here you'll find FPV footage from my rides around San Francisco and other local Northern California locations, reviews and important info on ebikes, electric skateboards and scooters I own and ride, and anything related to the life of Personal Electric Vehicles in general may show up here!! I totally agree we are pretty lucky to have a perfect mixture of motivated and forward pushing riders mixed with being right here in the biggest tech hub in the world. The growth of riders in BAESK8 and just out riding has exploded in the last half year for sure and hopefully slowly everywhere else in the world for all of us. Hope you find a crew and safe riding to you my friend!

BAESK8 hopefully will be back officially soon and if not still stay tuned for a "unofficial xmas ride" if needed. Thats a top 3 ride every year and seriously hope we can do it but your right, in a couple weeks because of Thanksgiving we might not be able to even go out on our own. Stay strong, we riding soon no matter my friend. Make sure your on BAESK8 FB for all the up to date info. Lots of things might go down pretty spontaneously soon. Ride on man friend and hopefully share that road with ya soon!!!!

    Hello from NYC! I'm considering getting the Zero 10. It's won't be my first scooter and I'm just a casual rider around the city. I'm not very mechanically inclined and was wondering if this is a high maintenance scooter? Is there anything else I should know about it? Thank You and be safe out there on the West Coast :-)

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety

      Hello NYC!! So everything thats happened til about 500 miles has been only 2 incidents. A flat tire which the previous owner tried fixing the tube with a patch so the slow leak finally failed and had to replace tube and just put a new tire on since I was already there. Learning sucks not gonna lie. Hours. Some of your friends or you might take 30 minutes. Hopefully won't have to do it too much but its doable and almost any vehicle gets a flat tire. My ebike has. My esk8 has rubber AT wheels so Im good there actually. The other problem was the throttle control went out and made a video about that. Scary but not a deal breaker.
      Love the Zero 10x. I want more range. If you weigh less then me at 200lbs your really stoked. New Zero 10x Limited edition is crazy good for an update but as is, thumbs up for sure. Suspension is what's butter and I'm guessing your streets are like ours and not cool sometimes jaja....Great to have a scoot like this when conditions are like that, for sure a confidence builder as you ride because it can do it easily and smooth. That and the Apollo along with the Mantis seem to be the top 3 in that not monster scooter size but monster scoot power. I love mine. Good vibes to you and the whole NY electric family my friend and good luck no matter what cool ride you go with!!

    is your city always that empty/calm as traffic and life? seems way laid out in contrast with mine, which feels like a jungle

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety +1

      You know this was the middle of summer and the city was abnormally quiet. But sadly traffic somehow came back right after this while everyone has moved out and is still closed down. Still now busy on my street I live on like it was 2018 or even busier. Not sure how more people are on the road or why maybe its just certain ones. On this ride we're in this park that is notorious for being slow and the posted limited is 25 so its always kinda chill. Then those residential areas are always chill, ocean beach busier but not too bad as well as the park, etx. My point its a chill ride and pathway that avoids most city 45mph lanes and other busier areas that do feel like that jungle if you ride through. Valencia street here is like that. Military warfare as you ride is the mentality you should have in that area!! Keep searching those pathways for easier paths and if none and it is what it is only thing you can do is just armor up and find slower traffic times. Always feel a little safer with my moto jacket and knee pads ready to slide or tumble if needed. Wishing you safe rides out there my friend!!

    Hi there, I have the Mantis Base, and one day I would love to join the group. What advice would you give for me to last from where you started from and where you end the ride. What was your Volt battery when you got to twin peaks??

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello!! For sure as soon as the official rides start up you should join up! A few people have the Mantis and its a pretty slick and sturdy ride it seems, congrats on picking a good one. Also lots of small groups doing rides so you might be able to find similar riders with similar scoots doing rides together so def check the FB group site and the chat links there. For this ride on this vid Id say starting in the Presidio and ending in Twin Peaks is about 13 miles(I cut across and that saves me some time and battery going up a big long hill and that adds a few miles) but coming down Cliff House is one of the best parts, better then wasting your battery up Twin Peaks so 1st time Id definitely do Cliff House and into Golden Gate Park. That part of the ride is in all my other group rides from BAESK8 so check that out for sure. Im also going pretty fast and somehow end up in the front of the pack a few times so going a a gentle 20 would keep you with the group and might save you more battery then I usually use. Random small things like fully inflated tires helps mileage greatly as well so make sure those bad boys are pumped up for max range!! Hopefully miracles happen and we ride again soon. But def check out the small groups, scooters took off post covid and there has never been more scooters in the bay area ever!! I see a ton of 5 dudes and their scoots almost daily so don't wait if you want to get out there!! Hopefully see you on a ride soon!

    What version of the 10x do u have

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety +1

      This is the 52 volt version. As a speed lover I could use more speed but range isn't much better.....11x might have to be the upgrade for me later down the road. But for some reason Im always looking at the Wolf Warrior. But right now its a pretty awesome first scoot that I just wish had more range. If you weigh 150 you probably would get around 30 miles but for me at 200 I'm getting 22ish like clock work. Other then that floats like a dream.

    did the scooter reach to three years of using without any malfunctions ??

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety +1

      I've only gotten to about 9 months ownership but one slow leak in a rear tube and a throttle malfunction have been the only problems. Maintenance is normal so tires will get a flat some point in 3 years. The throttle was a plastic piece malfunction and now REV Rides fixes that in house before shipping out. This controller is common on mainly scoots so its not the Zero 10x's fault per say, but a sometimes faulty controller much of the industry uses.

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety

      @@dennislabrador3554 for sure think the pro is almost the same scoot with blue instead of red and the Canadian company has a good warranty. Ghost is a hair below but couple people have them and they seem to hang with me well so really its close. All 3 are really good I'd say. Whichever one you get the best deal on is the one I'd pick. If range is important or your heavier like me around 200 lbs make sure you get the biggest battery option on the model you pick. Will seem way more expensive but when your out there you don't want to be limited by range....youll be hooked and want to ride.

    Which is better Daultron eagle pro or zero 10x ?

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety

      Cant say Ive never ridden an Eagle or owned one for at least 1000 miles which I think any true review has in it. Dualtron's get a lot of flack for constant stem wobble and a little higher price point but pretty dependable other then the stem I hear and the Eagle is light. I can only talk about mine and love my 10x other then the 20 miles range I get at 210 lbs.....Going full blast so if you weigh less and dont ride as aggressive, going to get 25-30 so it could work perfect for the right person. Fun as hell and dependable at almost 1000 miles. Thats my experience and I dont even get paid nothing from them jaja. Either ride will do you well, find a deal on one and enjoy that ride soon!!

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety

      Those are just rookies. Were doing 50 mile rides now and 100 mile events planned for LAESK8 this month, its the evolution of riders who have done this for years and are always riding and pushing. Also the seats change the way the scoot rides, better to just get a ebike if you want to sit.
      After a month of daily riding most everyone should be fine with 10-20 mile rides. Get some good comfortable shoes and get your scoot on.

  • @teknofil007
    @teknofil007 Před 3 lety +2

    Hello from Norway! Great video. I have an electric bike Enduro Leili speed 11.000watt 72volt 48ah. I love that bike. I have driven 1600 kilometers in just over 4 months. I have also ordered a scooter Zero 10X which you ride on a 52volt 23ah LG battery with hydraulic brakes. It is scheduled to arrive on 10 August. In Norway, only a 250 watt motor on an electric bicycle is allowed. Scooter with seat is prohibited. Scooters should not drive faster than 25Km / h. I had a scooter before with 2500 watts on each wheel, ie 5000 watts, a total of 60 volts 30ah. It had a seat. I rode it for a season and then sold it when the police started seizing scooters that had seats. I have not been stopped. You are lucky to have it so freely. Nobody stops you. Are you happy with Zero 10X?

    • @TheElectricLife
      @TheElectricLife  Před 3 lety

      Hello friend from the other side of the world! Wow the Enduro Leili bike sounds rad going to look that up! Im sorry to hear your under restrictions with your vehicles, truly sad to hear. With covid and every other struggles we have whether here in this country or yours, Im really surprised they even have resources to ticket and do all that enforcement. What a waste. I'm sure some people want to label our rides dangerous but the facts are cars kill people daily and its only accepted because we want our more convenient life's. When a scooter runs a red light or does something stupid in almost all cases no one dies. Pride hurt and a broken bone to the user 90% of the time and a great lesson. Not saying there aren't jackasses out there that are going to run into innocent old ladies crossing the street, but those same people drive bad and make daily bad decisions whether they scoot or not. Its no wonder ebike and escoooter sales have skyrocket in todays world. Only thing that makes sense is car companies there must see the light and are funding this to keep this from exploding. Logic takes me no other place unless your country has had thousands of scooter deaths which seems highly unlikely. Glad your able to get around it for now and hope it stays that way for you.
      Love the Zero 10x. Great suspension, good power, and the only thing Im dissatisfied with is the range. Theres definitely a culture here for riding and Ive done it naturally due to work and hobbies getting around the city. 30 -50 mile of esk8, escoot, ebike etc daily is getting kinda of natural so even though it gets me a good 20+miles, I wish it was a solid 30. Thats my dissatisfaction with the $4000 scoots right now, still only 40-50 miles?!! Yes thats on high power riding fast but you get used to that and thats really how we ride, not on eco mode at 10mph....For me the value is not there to go to that tier. Only upper mid priced $2700 scoot I like for range is the Wolf Warrior. Good power too, just gotta get sold on the look. Now that 11x thats beautiful too. Not sure about the range they are stated but if it had what ours has just a little more of everything, I like it. But all in all the Zero 10x is perfect in weight, function, and most important fun. Dang thing is hella fun. I think your gonna be really happy. Ride on my friend!

      @@TheElectricLife Thanks for a long answer))) Yes scooters and electric bikes have become very popular. In Europe, it is not allowed with a larger motor than 250 watts on a bicycle. Mine has 11,000watt))) Idiotic rules. Scooter has no limit to how big the engine can be but it should not run faster than 25Km / h. It's nothing. Seat on a scooter is not allowed. Police began seizing scooters. I live in a small place called Vinstra. We have police here too but they have not stopped me yet. I love my Enduro Leili speed. It's so fast. You can watch more video on my channel if you want))). I sold my scooter after one season. Was afraid of being caught. I have many movies on my channel about the also Momas S5 called the scooter. In Norway, I have three stores that sell scooters. The agency has a store on Dualtron. I rated the Dualtron Thunder. But it is expensive.So I chose Zero 10X which is almost half as expensive. The store I bought my scooter Zero 10X also has Zero 11X it comes in September. They also have Kabo wolf warrior 11 sports. Kabo mantis pro and kabo mantis pro minimotors. I have a lot to choose from. But I have this bike which is expensive and therefore I would not choose Zero 11X. It's so big too that I might have been stopped. Zero 10X will delight me a lot. I have become extremely fond of electric bikes and scooters. Norway is the country in the world that sells the most electric cars. I get a new car in November 2020 it is electric Volvo XC40 Recharge 100% electric. Ordered on January 16, 2020. Can't wait to get it. You live in America. I often watch movies where you drive together. Fantastic culture. I like it. Want to visit America. I travel a lot but have not been to America yet. In a few days Zero 10X will arrive! Enjoy your scooter.
