They’re good for a beginner, but an expensive one for the advanced modellers who are going to try and update it as you know.
The only really accurate thing about it is the slotted screw heads, not much else 😂

For $20 it's a bargain, Mr emoji. I've seen plenty or builds where somebody spent a lot of money on an expensive kit or aftermarket, and it still looks like crap..

Yes, you’re right, it’s definitely a great price.
I’ve got all of Tamiya’s M21, M16 and M3 kits as well as Dragon’s, save for their M16 kit.
Spent a small fortune on upgrades for Tamiya’s!
And it is so true that doesn’t matter what you spend that $$$ ain’t going to do shit if you haven’t got the talent.
