Thank you. Just got my first diffenbachia, and this is the most educational video I've come across.
@@charlenedunlap5084 thank you 🤩
Thank you thank you thank you
From 2 hours east of Seattle
You're most welcome 🙂
Question. I have my small dieffenbachia with very small leaves in a 5 in round x 6 in deep pot. I’ve had over a year and the leaves have remained same size ( maybe 1”-2” wide). Maybe 10”-12” tall. Not grown. It’s in an East Window and I’ve been watering from bottom. I got a lot of info from your video here and I THANK YOU. I’m going to try all your suggestions to get it growing. Bigger leaves and much taller. 👍 Wish me luck. Should I change it to a West window? Thank you again😃🥹
Nice sharing
Very informative and useful video
Thanks ☺️
Nice video beautifull plant 🌹🌹🌹❤
Thank you
Excellent video
Thanks 🙂
Thanks my dear
Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for the video. I struggle a little with my dieffenbachias.
Very less watering and only watering when the soil is absolutely dry is the key to keep them happy 😊
Had this plant for monthsssss mine is just now deciding to grow. I repotted and broke away the plants that grew along the mother plant. I placed in my window sill under my larger plants so it receives dappled bright indirect sunlight. I removed the pot that I had my nursery pot sitting in so that it’s just in the nursery. I bottom water now and leave the top soil dry always! It’s starting to grow! No more droopy leaves. No use of grow light anymore. I have the window cracked very little. I changed my soil to Ivy May aroid and houseplant potting mix and I added superthrive to the water when I water. I water in the morning and I water very little 🤷🏽♀️ just enough so that the soil is moist. I noticed small webbing and tiny bugs on my plant. Almost tossed it out. But I used warm water to wash the leaves and wiped down the stem. And a little bit of big leaf energy to wipe down leaves. It’s summer season where I am. The little babies I pulled away from the mother plant I placed in a smaller pot and placed on a stand and in front of a window to grow and it took off lots of new growth in days. Now it’s on my front porch in a partial shaded area. I can’t wait to see the results.
Thank you for sharing your story 😊
Being a plant lover with lots of plants I believe the best way to water them is just check with 2 inches rule and water accordingly ❤
Very nice information 🙏ℹ️
Thanks 😌
@@MMMPlants my best wishes keep in touch 🙏

Great explanation bro!!! and I mean it!!!
Thanks a lot for watching 😊
Hi I just saw your vid and have subscribed. Thanks for the info. I live in Sydney, Australia and have a Dieffenbachia Mars. I recently noticed swelling/bumps on the leaf midribs and where the leaf meets the petiole that is slightly tan/corky in colour. I cant see any pests moving around (with magnifying glass) and it sits next to an east facing window. which I open slightly during the day only. The leaves are very droopy even though it's been watered and drained (and fertilise with liquid fertiliser at half strength). Cant find anything on the net to explain what it is. Hoping you can help!!!
Thanks for joining the family, love sydney a lot! I am from Adelaide! Diffenbachia sometimes is fussy, I would recommend to give it a good clean and keep it outside for sometime for a few days where it does not get direct sun and you keep it moist, that sometimes really helps the plants to thrive. Fresh air sometime helps the plants a lot!

Really enjoyed visiting Adelaide; been a few times to visit my childhood friend and her hubby. Thanks for the advice...might do it for my other 2 Dieffs as well; I also have a Memoria Corsii and a Tropic Marianne. 😀
Hi, I have Just Seen your video about dumb cane, Do you know that My dumb cane's leaves are smaller than yours, and I realised that mine is One of the species of dumb cane, so I need your advice, nowadays l keep it in outdoor, does it like More water and sunlight, thanks before your answer
Thank you for such good information😊👍. I have a plant that I think is this kind, and I believe already has the fungus...so does that mean that I need to just get rid of it or can I help it get better?
You can mix a lot of turmeric powder in its soil and spray some organic insecticide
Great video! I have a few questions: the new growth on my dieffenbachia is a bit smaller than the existing ones, is that normal? And at the bottom there are a few small old leaves, should I prune it or leave it be? Thanks in advance.
Pruning is a good idea, sometimes small leaves may be due to low light! Try and pruning and giving it a brighter spot! Thanks ☺️
@@MMMPlants Thanks for the reply. I'll try that.
This will be my next plant 🪴 lol
Awesome! ❤️🌿

My plant was severely infected with milley bugs which is cured now but then leaves n steam started getting yellow help
I have a dumbcane and it is effected by white mould (fungus) on its stem and some leaves. How should I get rid of them?
Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder in the plant.
Hi, Can i grow dumbcane plant in water/vase
I havent tried this, I would honestly prefer to grow it in soil! 🙂
I have terrible light in my home is it ok to use LED grow lights?
Yes why not! If you space outside the house, you can keep a few plants there too!
One month ago i bought this, now all the old big leaves have turned yellow brownish in the tip and pruned those leaves ..Is this because of over watering? But as you said i always check the soil dryness before watering tho .
Now new leaves are very small compared to old leaves when i bought, they looked big then ..
I can't figure out what's the problem is. Please tell me solution
I'm stressed out cuz this is my first indoor plant and I'm scared what if it dies on me🥺
It may be due to lack of sufficient light, it does not need direct sun but it still needs a lot of bright indirect light through the day!
@@MMMPlants My house is east facing so I placed dumbcanes in my hall and it gets lots of bright light ,from morning till evening tho :(
Yea but it's been jus one month since this plant came home so letme wait for few more months and I'll tell you what's the condition of this plant 😊 Thankyou . Hope your plants are doing fine !
@@togethernesstxt7540 sure thing, yes mine are fine! I let them dry out and only then water and they are in a very well lit room!
May I use cocopeat?
Not with this plant, this likes dry soil and cocopeat will keep it moist all the time
At what time of the month shall we propagate these plant
Any time is fine
My leaves are turning yellow... what should be the remedy???
Yellowing of leaves can be due to several reasons, I have uploaded a video regarding the same on this channel, please do watch that!
Mere ghar me mere bacche ne kha le he leaf es plant ki ab kya keru sir bhot dard ho reha he bola bhi nhi ja reha heart pain bhi ho reha he
aap doctor ko zarur dikhaye and plant hata dein jab tak bache matured na ho jae.
How to meke bushi plant
Hi there's many videos on our channel where we have shared tips regarding that, please watch them
Those are gorgeous. Mine all died.
Sorry to hear that, they are fussy at times
I have Dieffenbachia Compacta. Its leaves always look wrinkled even when the plant is watered properly or when the soil has dried out.
Have another Dieffenbachia, the Starbright but no such issue with its leaves.
So maybe the issue is because of the plant type and not the watering?
Indeed every plant is different, I would recommend to fertlise the plant that is not that happy with organic compost or liquid fertiliser but not on a hot day! Kindly Let me know if its improving the condition of your plant! Fertlising helps a lot and maybe if you could keep it outside under shade where it gets fresh air a lot for few days. Take Care and Hope this helps.
@@MMMPlants i am going to give it fish emulsion today and just change its location. Hopefully that'll help.
@@mermaid000pranu sounds good, kindly update on how did you go with it.
@@MMMPlants the location change seems to have helped. The leaves don't appear to be wrinkly anymore and look hydrated. I swapped its location with the Starbright. Keeping an eye on the Starbright's leaves now. If they go wrinkly, it'll just mean that the location is bad and it wasn't cos of the plant variety
@@mermaid000pranu how is your dieffenbachia now? My dieffenbachia compacta is also wrinkly and brown from edges. Got it one month back. Pls help
Is it oxygen plant
All the plants will give oxygen and absorb the carbon dioxide. Its just that few do it a little more than others. But definitely a good houseplant.
@@MMMPlants thank you
@@djchannel9554 your most welcome
& my sis in law over watered my dieffenbachia while I’m n vacation. 🤨🤨
They don’t like a lot of water, try repotting into a well drained soil 😊
