Couldn’t agree more. I dislike Randle very much but getting rid of him just for the sake of getting a “superstar” instead of right fit never made sense. Bridges is literally the PERFECT fit. Just never thought it would be a reality to trade with nets but it always made sense. Smart move for both sides

The Knicks just got better. They gave up no one of relevance, and some people will wince at the number of picks, but other teams wanted Bridges too, so they HAD TO make the Nyets an offer they couldn't refuse.

You have to be a bit more than a casual to understand why the value was there for the Knicks to trade those picks for Bridges. The way the CBA is today you can't have more than maybe 2 max contracts on your team, Bridges may not be an all-star as of today, but his contract is VERY team friendly. If you compare it to Paul George for example hes being paid 30+ more mil a year. These types of contracts are what is so valuable to a team like the Knicks who are in win now mode. Its much more than just that as well with team chemistry, age and what not. It is a situation where the value is hard to see but it is 100% there.
2 years left on his deal. Immediate fit to our chemistry and what we are doing. Didn’t lose anyone and that is more valuable than anything. Keeping Randle while adding bridges to me is a phenomenal move.

The Villanova quartet and Hartenstein isn't enough to contend, imo. I think you need Randle playing at a high level. Mike is undervaluing Randle as I think he can fit just fine. They need someone else capable of taking over a game instead of expecting an undersized Brunson to carry them with 40 every game. Resign OG, trade Robinson as he's never available, but keep Randle...

I can't figure out what these so called sports people keep saying that Randall needs to go.. he crashes the boards with a big body and can score 30 points a game, how do you replace that?
You saw the imbalance with Randle out of the line up. Cant expect a little guy like Brunson to score 40 every playoff game to secure wins. The rest of the Villanova band are great but they cant take over games like Randle..

Listening/watching a day after this clip was recorded. Two observations: First, Mike can’t not make his show about the Yankees. Neither the first or second game was about the Yankees. The Mets dominated. There’s your story. Second, he can’t avoid discrediting the Mets. Who cares about the lights on home runs. And, by the way, Gil pitched like duty tonight. Stew in it!

Say what you will about Harvey, and he drove me nuts too, but when the chips were down in 2015, and you had his douche agent talking about shutting him down in September (for very valid reasons mind you), he stepped up and played. To this day the most innongs pitched by anyone in a season following a Tommy John surgery. And whaddya know- next season his arm basically broke for good. He was definitely an arrogant baby, but he stepped up at the cost of his own tremendously valuable future when his team needed him. They failed, partly due to him, but no one can ever take away what he did for the Mets that year, and he doesnt get enough credit for it.
You can trade Robinson if you keep Hartenstien, but you can't trade Randle!! Randle & OG are an unstoppable front court.
If you find a better talent or fit I say trade him, he hasn't origen anything but a playoff choke, and a nice reg run...I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it

Do t think it’s that he’s not good, he is an excellent player, it’s just does he fit. He tends to require the ball too much and the flow of the offense comes to a lurch when he dribbles for 17 seconds of the 24.

One of the most puzzling decisions the MLB ever made was shaving the subway series down from 6 games to 4. If anything they should play even more, realign the leagues and have them in a Rangers-Islanders type situation in the same division. That'd be amazing

It's going to be hard to keep Isaiah because they can only give him $16.2 million and someone will likely give him $18-$20 million. I don't think they trade Randle this offseason, if he shows he can fit with this group, if he shows he can be a team guy and submit to Brunson and that style of play, then he might be here long term. A better fit would be a big that can space the floor, keep the ball moving, and provide elite offense and interior defense that would be an upgrade. If they could ship Randle out and get Adebayo, Jaren Jackson, would you make that move? I would.

Why are we trying to move Randle ? Nobody on the team can score on the block like him . Plus, other than Brunson, he's the only other guy that commands a double team.
Randle becomes a free agent next summer. He will command $42-45M per easily. Have to move him regardless or we get nothing for him.

Everyone says he's this great defensive player, but he's too soft to guard anyone his own size and not quick enough to guard smaller players that play with any type of physicality.
