Yes, the Yanks have to figure out what their next trade deadline move will be. They cann't have 3-4 players with good performance and the rest under avg. They have to be better if they want to be WS contender. But, Cashman has to be very analytical when approaching negotiations with other teams....
Why? I agree with much of what he says, but he doesn’t say “why”. Why should Randle go? Explain. Why is Bridges the “perfect fit?” Explain, substantively.

Mike wants Julius Randle gone a bit too badly. Randle was fine with this being Brunson's team as early as the end of season 1, and definitely this past season. Randle with OG and the rest in the lineup looked damn near special, and they will even more so with Bridges now. Randle is with CAA and has been all over NY lately. He's inexpensive right now, he's super productive, he's staying and it's a good thing.

Yea, I don't get the obsession with getting rid of Randle. He's an all-star/all-NBA level player who was averaging 24 and 9 before he got hurt last year. The team was almost unbeaten with Brunson, Randle, and OG all playing.
I think Randle adds size and power to the Knicks. I don't see OG and Bridges bringing that to the table. It is an added dimension that other teams have to contend with. Mike should just let Thibs worry about Randall's fit, minutes and the team's playing style.

The stats show that Randle was more efficient offensively with Hartenstein playing instead of Mitch. The Knicks were 12-2 with Randle and OG playing together. It was a seamless fit from the beginning. I don’t know why you would say that Randle should go.

Here is what people overlook with Randle: the trio of Randle, OG and Brunson were 11-1 before Julius got hurt....11-1!!! They also beat some damn good teams in that span! Even if you hate Randle and dismiss that he is a 3x All Star and averaged 24/9/5, you cannot ignore 11-1 and be so quick to move on from him.
Randle CAN play with this group. Now, if by some chance they don't work, THEN you look at a blockbuster trade.

I believe the Knicks lost one game all year with Brunson, Randle, and OG in the lineup. Randle was excellent last year before he got hurt.
If Randle was in the playoffs they would have at worst taken Boston to a game 6 or 7. This idea that Boston is head and shoulders above the Knicks makes no sense to me

Randell creates when he plays team ball, and he was playing unselfish for the whole month with OG before he went down. and the way he was playing before his injury he was making everyone on the team better, and he is a great rebounder.

Yankees, like the Mets, need young, new blood. It's how you build a champion (Brewers, Orioles, Reds, Rays, Mariners ....). Stop buying old free agents looking for one last big payday. Volpe has carried this team and starting to get burnt out. DJ has historically been over-used. Judge will follow Stanton on the IL soon, as will Soto. It's all about youth.
