The first clocks were sundials. They used the sun to tell what time it was. It depended on the position of the sun to indicate time.
And who discovered that and how
Time is man made
AHHHH U BROKE ME
Time, discovered by every normal human who ever lived by their own hand. when the shade of the tree touches the river....
Sundials are pieces of metal that a person made to figure out easily when the sun was going to turn down ( I’m pretty sure )

W is called "double u" because a few centuries ago, people used a double u (uu) and eventually it lead to joining the u's and eventually it started getting the pointed double v shape. That is why w is called w
This is what you mean "ω"

Rush hour is self explanatory: Everyone is Rushing at that Exact Hour to be someplace different. So that slows Everyone to a crawl.
It should be called crawl hour
actually the second last one is because W is since Old English didn't use a "V" letter so they combined two "U" letters together to create the "wuhhh" sound but The ancient Roman alphabet did not have a letter “w” or the letter “v”. However, the sound was represented by 2 Us - literally a double “u”. but the cloud actually weighs 1.1 BILLION and the person who made the Phoenician traders and the reason why they did that to improve communication in order to more easily facilitate trade with other surrounding cultures and the reason why roses " run " and feet smell is because your nose is running and your feet smell, you must be upside down! But why does your nose run? i have NO idea-
yes i liked my own comment since no body would.
Love the history
In french it's called "double v" which translates to double v
It’s the snot that’s running and the nose that’s smelling those stinky feet 😁
Ancient Roman Alphabet has only a V and not U actually
And u know that a cloud is 1.1 billion pounds. Tell me the person that came up with that, then tell me what scale they use to weigh a cloud

This is better than the actual video.
The clock one's answer is "the guy with the sundial".
Last question is memories
I was right! I like riddles. Another thing I like is finding an old tool at a flea market and trying to figure out what it was made to do.
I wonder if you remember there was a quiz show on television called “Liars Club”. It was hosted and invented by Larry Hobus. He was one of the cast of the old show, Hogan’s Heroes. The show was a panel of three celebrities and one contestant. They would take an odd object and left to right, each would describe what it does and what it was made for. The catch was that two of them would be fabricating the story but one would be telling the truth and it was up to the contestant to determine. It was a great show and very creative because some of the stories were fabulous and very often the contestant would go for the total fabrication.👍🏼

In Houston , between 3pm -4pm its called " Crush Hour " .
Cause thats when everyone is trying to get out of town , BEFORE Rush hour , and driving like a maniac .
1) Everybody is in a rush so there's lots of traffic.
2) Your nose smells and your feet allow you to run. Your nose runs when you are sick and your feet smell because of sweat and bacteria being contaminated from socks and shoes.
3) They used to be able to tell what time it was by where the moon was.
4) True.
5) An average cloud weighs about 1 billion 400 million pounds.
6) You put cups and dishes in the dishwasher. You put dishes and cups in a cupboard. (I do at least)
7) The person who made the alphabet put them in that order.
8) The person who made right/left put them in that direction.
9) The letter W is called double-u because cursive came first and when you write W in cursive it looks like 2 u's put together.
10) Memories.

English is weird like that. Most other languages just call it a double v.
Though not as weird as the plural for Moose and Goose.

I don't know the full history, but the latin for right and left is dexter and sinister. The right hand is more dexterous, while the left is usually (for right-handed people) less useful and known as inferior or even sinister/evil. Same reason numerals repeat at 10; 10 fingers.

FINALLY SOMEONE TALKS ABOUT THE W THING
In french, to say 'w' you pronounce it 'doble v
Cursive came before printing and the w looks like two u's in cursive
Before the typewriter was invented , Wwas written as UU (double "u")
After typewriters were invented , UU started looking like W and it's been like that ever since
@@idk_idk_idk_idk_ Ohhh ok
Because in old cursive writing you write w with double u. This changed with typewriters and computers.
Memories!😊 Because you saw the memory before and you don’t see it now, but you remember it😊!
All of these were very easy to explain
Because you are rushing to get somewhere. You don’t rush if everything is on time.

it’s called rush hour because everyone is in a rush and its called double-u because when people first started writing letters it was in a form of cursive so it looked like 2 u’s
Memories.😊😊
Nose and feet: references only one of the adjectives these body parts can do.
The reason behind W being pronounced as "double u" is because in the Latin alphabet it was written as a double u but when printing was invented the letter would be printed in the shape of a double v (the shape of W that we know today) and since then the official shape of the letter that we use is W but we still call it 'double u"
It’s called double u because the printing gone wrong and it looked like a double v but in reality it’s actually a double u
Daylight is also the answer.
Memories I think. I had to really think on that one

Time is just a construct. It is also a measurement the first clocks really didn’t have numbers. It was mostly a stick in the ground or a stone. To cast a shadow on the ground at certain points of the day the shadow would move there also known as sundials. We eventually added numbers to them to keep it easier to track the measurement of time so we can tell how much time has passed.
I call rush hour "freak hour". It's comical watching people freak out at the silliest of reasons 😅😂
These are so interesting 🧐

As someone that is French, we obviously pronounce the alphabet differently than English-speakers. English speakers pronounce it “double ‘u’”. But in French, we say “doobla vay” or “double v”.

In Italian we say double v

It’s also said double v in danish too
In french too
i write my W’s like a double U

Bro just made me rethink about my life😂😂😂
Sad.
Double U was written as uu in history, but over time vv got adapted due to preference
It's "double U" and not "double V" because before the invention of paper, people recorded text on clay tablets and their pen - called a "stylus" - was used make impressions in the clay (not dragged like a pen or pencil).
At that time, the letter U was impressed with two impressions in the shape of a V, and the shape of a W was two U's put together.
This was at a time before the English language was fully realized, and the letter V wasn't a thing then.
It's called double u because a long time ago they didn't have a symbol for the w so they made it look like a double v and then they changed the symbol into a w and they just kept with tradition
It is called RUSH HOUR because a lot of people are in a rush to get somewhere.
pov: you sleep for half of your life time and stay awake for the rest
Most are lucky if they sleep 8hrs each day, so make that ⅓ of a life time 😉

I'll admit, although it's probably a riddle that is commonly told, having not heard it before, it was a fairly tough one for a CZcams shorts riddle.
Traffic moves at its lowest as there is huge traffic because of rush. And thus called the rush hour.
A "w" looked like two "U's" until typewriters made them look like two "V's"
For those who don’t know: it’s called a double- u because it used to be an actual double- u but when it comes to newsprint, it changed into a double- v but they kept the name because of tradition.

The answer to this riddle is "history."
You have knowledge of history today, but tomorrow, you will have even more history. History is what you saw and learned about in the past, but it is not something you can see in the same way you see a physical object in the present.
I thought memories but i guess it’s the same
Memories are history . The past is the answer!

The letter W is called double V in French
Bro I just woke up give me a chance man💀
For the 2nd last one, when people started writing W, the line were curved, so it looked like a double U.
It’s called rush-hour because everyone’s in a rush at that time and since everyone’s in a rush, there’s so many people so it gets backed up. That’s why it’s called rush-hour.

Our tongue is a very strong muscle and we move it around 24/7.
When we work out, our thigh, arm and other muscles get sore.
How come the tongue doesn't get sore from all the work it does?
I've wondered this for years.
It gets exercised nearly constantly and is toughened up by the time we can clearly remember to a lifetime of movement. Just like the heart, it starts to beat about five weeks after conception and continues to beat until we die.
My tongue gets sore after I’ve gone down on an Asian girl.
That all depends what you're using it for and how long you use it😛😈
For the “w” one, originally the letter “w” was one written like two u’s together, but then over time, people started adding v’s instead of u’s . They did it when it was much quicker to write
The question is so vague.
W is called double U because in latin they put 2 u's together pretty often. "uus" was a pretty common noun ending actually. and the uus ending sounds like "oo-wus" and thats where the w sound comes from, and therefore the name double U
It's 'Right', because it's correct. Right comes from old English, 'Riht' which meant straight. It was (and still is) used to mean 'correct', 'proper', 'good' or 'fair'.
It's 'Left', because it's 'weak'. 'Left' also comes from old English, 'Lyft', meaning 'weak' or even 'remaining'.
With most people having a dominant 'Right' or 'Correct' hand, the remaining hand being 'Weaker' became known as 'Left'.
The Latin for left, 'Sinistra' gives us the origin of 'Sinister', which we associate with evil. This is why the left is associated with The Devil, or with Evil. God sits on ones right hand, Satan sits on the left. The right hand was pure, many cultures even today will feed themselves with their right hand, their left hand being used for such things as wiping their arse. If a criminal was caught, he would have his right hand cut off, so he was forced to eat and wipe with his left hand.
Left handed people have been persecuted from the beginning of time. We are the most persecuted people in all of history, but it is not acknowledged or recognised.
So what man you gonna become the next LGBT?
Though you can look forward to creating awareness and Making so anyone isn't discriminated over stupid chances based thing as a dominant hand
