“Okay, so what am I doing?”
    “Oh. I’m chasing this guy.”
    “No! He’s chasing me!”
I’m not entirely sure why, but thats my absolute favorite part of the movie. I was younger when I saw this movie for the first time, and that moment blew me away. I had never (and still haven’t) seen a scene done like that before.
And you are correct. All of the scenes in color, are shown in reverse order, and have some overlap with each other. Whilst the scenes in black & white are shown in forward order, and don’t overlap (from what I remember).
If I remember correctly, the Blu Ray of Memento allows you to few the entire movie in Chronological order. At least for the scenes in color. I believe it also allowed you to watch only the scenes in color, and the scenes in B&W separately.
I haven’t gotten around to watching Oppenheimer yet, but Memento is, and probably always will be, my favorite Christopher Nolan movie.

Yeah I saw it a second time and it wasn't as exciting. Feeling confused & trying to figure it out like the character is what makes it cool and special, not actually solving the puzzle.

The twist of narrative is 11/10 in this movie. My favorite of Nolan.

Everyone was manipulating Leonard: Teddy, Natalie, the hotel manager. But nobody was manipulating him as much as himself.
All around brilliant, the two timelines running in opposite directions to converge at the middle, having the first scene begin with Teddy very distinctively say “Lenny!” so that you’d remember it when it was shown again, to clue you in on the use of the scenes to bookmark how the end of the scene you’re watching was the beginning of the previous scene.
If you can find the special edition DVD/blu-ray, it has an Easter egg where you can watch the movie in chronological order, with the b/w scenes first transitioning to the color scenes.

12:33 Most people are going to say they didn't kill somebody when asked that question directly! We don't assume that we probably did commit a murder recently (which wasn't for revenge).

Tied with “Oppenheimer” as Nolan’s best movie - too different to pit them against each other.

On the lower end? Disagree on that. Although, if you enjoy Nolan not just for his mind-bending stories but for his spectacular visuals also (or even more), then I can understand... Still, Memento is his best movie script-wise, it's perfection.

Well, that's unfortunate.... This isn't meant to be negative, just something to consider... I used to watch your channel all the time, when you were posting a lot of great movie reactions. Today you post a great movie, and right above yours is NAT GOLD, doing the same movie. I checked your posts over the past 2 months... except for the Mad Max bandwagon, which every channel was posting.... and the Planet of the Apes bandwagon, which everyone was posting, it's all new TV shows on your channel. I've seen posts from viewers, stating that they don't care about the reactions, they just want to watch the edited TV shows. And it's not just your channel, it's most of them. Tons of TV shows. It seems like many of the popular reaction channels suddenly gave up on great movies. I sell movies for a living, so I know what people are watching OUTSIDE of the youtube bubble. I just checked youtube, there are NO reactions to a movie from 1976 called SYBIL. This movie was a huge hit, even though it was a made-for-tv movie. In the 70s and 80s many made-for-tv films were as good as theatrical movies. The movie was 198 minutes long and was eventually cut for a theatrical release (don't watch the cut version). What kind of movie is it... it will scare you to your core. If you watch it, just make sure its the 198 minute one. Beside that movie suggestion.... If I were doing all of this, I'd create $1 subscriptions on Patreon for each TV series, and leave those on Patreon as full reactions. $1 for each series, or $4 for all of them. $5 for full access. Post TONS of full movie reactions there, and only post the best edited reactions on youtube. This would cut back on hours and hours and hours of editing videos which only get 1000 views on youtube. I've subscribed to a few Patreon channels for the TV show full reactions. Concerning SYBIL "do I know what I'm talking about?" ... Recently, dozens of channels are reacting to a 1957 B&W film called 12 ANGRY MEN. Why? It was a forgotten film. No one was voting for it in polls... then suddenly someone reacted to it. Then another channel. Then another. It's been around since 1957, but suddenly every channel is reacting to it. Why? Because its a great movie. And it suddenly had a few posts that made people want to see all the channels react to it. SYBIL is that kind of movie.

Saw that movie as a child, my mom used to love it. I read your whole comment, it's wild how all the reactors seem to start reacting to the same thing at the same time. No one was reacting to Mr robot, then James vs and now Blind Wave are reacting to it. Recently SMokey and the Bandit has become very popular, whats next i wonder.

    • @knight4iam
      @knight4iam Před 20 dny

@@nluna75 considering how many movies and TV shows end up on so many posts at the same time, my theory is that a significant bunch of people with endless funds have hijacked them. Not in a conspiratorial way... they simply are a majority who interact on many Patreon pages together. Always voting on every account for the same things. And I would bet most of them are under 40. They've rarely heard of good movies before the 90s. Just a theory.

@@knight4iam oh wow, i never thought about someone or a multitude of people using bots for voting for something so trivial as this but damn it makes sense as a thoery.
