The woman is complaining about his room and seems to be more concerned about the will than her dying husband's well-being. After she has left, the rich man's son comes by to pay his dad a visit but also turns out to be one of the gold diggers. When the man in the bed next to the wealthy guy calls him out on his opportunist family and tells him about his own mission in life, the dying man gets an idea...

Mr. Landon most certainly did. He gave all his wealth to someone who deserves it unlike his own wife and son who only care about his money and not for his well being.

Exactly. Seriously, Leslie's nickname of "pooh bear" was soppy and really sickly sweet. If Mr. Landon wasn't rich and they were not married, Leslie wouldn't be acting that way. Seriously, Leslie and Gregory only cared about Mr. Landon's money and didn't care about love. Leslie used that nickname to feign her affection towards her husband, and Gregory did not care at all about making his dad's last moments as comfortable as possible.
He should of donated the money to charity instead of giving the money to a stranger
and the "Gold Diggers" were his OWN children. Such a shame.

Gregory and Leslie didn't care about Mr. Landon at all, just his money. He made the right choice giving all his money to Phil who would use the money for selfless and good purposes unlike those selfish gold diggers who didn't even bother caring for Mr. Landon and only visited him to ask for some money. It's satisfying to see them not get anything from him.
It's true what they say, Money Can't Buy Happiness. The dying man had money, but didn't have love from his Gold Digger wife and Selfish Son.
It can, you just can't be blind and dumb with it.
This episode is sooo beautiful. Especially That gesture of the dying man to include the name of the black guy in the will made my day. Indeed it's good to care about people no matter how small you can do that.

I can't stand people who go after people just for their money. It makes me sick,because it happens in real life,not just in stories.
Both of them just wanted his money, they should be happy they even got something. Phil can do so much now w his non-profit feeding people n maybe more now it's amazing and a blessing! The man did a beautiful thing w his money.

I would LOVE an ironic twist ending where the guy staged the entire thing, faked the coughing and other health problems, the machines were all just "props" and the "doctors and nurses" were just actors. To see if she really loved him or was just using him.
I assume the younger man was not terminally ill? I would have loved a follow up scene where its a few years later and he has built his charity even bigger and his helping many people and 2 of the people he helps end up being the widow and son of the man who left him the fortune.
