I remember in 2019, when CZcams recommended this song to me after the algorithm understood that I was listening to a lot of indie music and I liked it so much that I recommended it to a friend who was listening during a plane ride, she was impressed and liked the song so much that she listened to it several times while she was on her way home. It seems like a silly story, but I'm happy to have had something like this that I now miss from before, it's amazing how music connects with us, humans.
I'm also happy for the band that has gained more fans over time, at the time I heard it for the first time if I'm not mistaken, the song only had a hundred thousand views and now it has over one hundred million.

I used to listen to this song every day when I had a massive crush on my coworker. We met when we were randomly assigned to shared a cubicle. We’d been friends for a while but I didn’t know if he shared my feelings, and I was too nervous to tell him just how I felt. It turned out he was pining for me the whole time, too! We’ve been together for four fantastic years now, and we just picked out my engagement ring. i still remember how in 2019 i went through this indie phase and ended up finding so many good artists, like dayglow! this song was the first i heard of his, sometime in late 2019, maybe the fall. then i heard listerine, and i was hooked! been listening to his music for almost 5 years now :)
