Love the studebaker implant..... an that body shell...... fits perfect 👌🏼😎....even Patton would have been impressed😂
Absolutely amazing love it
Once again Rick you have found a wonderful piece of Americana, necessity is the mother of invention!! Cold winters- cool 'ol hardtop Willys! With a flathead 6cyl too!! Gonna be tough to beat this one
Mr. Pay Way! I know more about Jeeps than most folks, even though I've never owned one.... thanks to you. Always loved the DED article's in the magazine's.
On a cool scale of 1 to 10, that’s somewhere around a 17! Nicely executed,, without being over done. Stay safe👍
Couldn't have said it better. Just awesome
When I was circa 10 years old my dad took me to Rock Springs Wyoming. We visited a childhood friend of his. His name was something like Crazy Larry. He had a Willys fixed up like this one. The car top was Chevrolet, the same vintage. I was very impressed. The jeep had PTO winches mounted front and back. My dad and Larry talked about the good old days and wondered how they were still alive doing what they did around Rock Springs. The whole time I’m wondering about the rear winch.
Larry…”I told people this Jeep could climb anything. A guy said how about that tree? I threw the winch line over a branch of the tree and up it went. Now the guy said how you gonna git down? The Willys sat right down on its butt. So I added the rear winch.”
This may be the best comment I've ever read.
Mad Max jeep!
I never seen those headlights before that was so cool
Beatiful,beatiful,beatiful American gangster car !!!
At the end of World War II, while the GI's were waiting for the prisoners to be repatriated, and the then for available transportation to go home, there was a competition to see which unit could create the most interesting vehicle using a Jeep as the basis. Coachwork was created from aircraft drop tanks, canopies, and obtainable vehicle parts. This vehicle looks like someone's creation of the same type of vehicle, after they returned home.
coolest jeep i've ever seen,
Like the Pewe
Love the Pewe
Subbed
You didn't even show the large heater under the dash! That's our Willys Airstream, Ray is my dad. I rebuilt the Ford carb, picked out the tires, and am adding some interesting bumpers and other additions. But he has done the most work on it. I would like to identify the Stude-block but there is no stamping where it should be. I am hoping to take it to Oregon for a Gambler 500 Run in the near future. Still... we have TOO MANY RIGS! 😁
I love this flatfender! It deserves a frame off restoration to the original owner’s intended design. It would be beautiful as an army green or even a shiny dark red. A roof rack and a spare tire/jerry can mounted on the back. A shovel/axe/extinguisher setup and a winch or WWII braided rope on the front bumper. She needs a mini tear drop camper trailer to tow also! Please please please do this one up right! Keep us posted!!!

@@xmo552 well I linked my own vid of it but Mr Pewe deleted it for some reason.
@@lunchbox2784 first you say to restore it to the original owner's design, then you say throw a bunch of stuff on it, then you tell me to do it up right. Well, we will do it our way and that's it.
@@KillingTime13 You do you. Those were just a few add ons that would look great after a restoration. My comment was just a suggestion is all. Cheers.
That is awesome.
Right? Thanks for the feedback, Nick.
What this is..is a...great imagination of coolness!
Can't go wrong with a Willys
I love this! Nicely done, Rick Péwé!
epic
Cool
Early Willys jeeps had the sunken headlights as well. I have a January 42 slat grill. And it’s headlights are mounted the exact same way as this one. Ford’s contribution was coming up with a stamped version of the grill that didn’t require so much time to weld together.
Dang, that actually looks really sweet, haha! I want one :-D
That is an awesome looking 9 slot. I'll be spending the rest of the day looking for Chrysler body donors!!
Old Ford 4 door sedan could work too. Love those suicide doors.
Very nice!
So damn cool!!!
That actually looks really cool!
I would love to make a device like those headlights for my YJ
Most cool. I’d love to buy it.
Imagine the deuce n a half turned into something like this
Flip up windshield wasn't meant to ventilation it was meant to shed rain water before good wiper motors
what is the tire size? pizza cutters for the win.
Yeah I bet you when that was fresh it looked really good unlike the m38 top I got on my 2A
They are called suicide doors because the door itself would pull you out if it opens at speed, excuse my english, love your videos!
🤗🥰
😁
Love the Frankenjeep. I was looking at Market Place and found this. Looks like what you have there. 128493311_10208001075901856_3973032292143729543_n.jpg
