I worked on that fire truck when I was a mechanic at Marshalls in Cambridge.
That's amazing, it's such an interesting car and piece of history. We are very honoured to have been one of it's owners. What was it like to work on?
@@FamousFourProductsLtd I don't remember any issues as such but I don't think it fitted on any of our ramps/lifts.
Haha, it was quite the beast of a vehicle!
The title of this video is illogical. There are no degrees of uniqueness . Something is either unique (meaning one of) or it isn't. You cannot have 'most unique'.
Yeah, it’s a bit like something being ‘new and improved’.
Unique has multiple definitions in the Oxford dictionary, one of which is “particularly remarkable, special, or unusual.”
That definition could certainly have degrees
Can be unique to as in the land rover perenti is unique to the Australian army. As in no other defence force is the world uses the perenti.
well said. others are:-very unique, almost unique, VERY last VERY first.
Like fake news. If it's fake it ain't news.
I would Dearly Love to have a left hand drive version of the Long Nose!!! 🤠👍
That Bell Aurens Longnose looks pretty damn cool
Land rover perenti. Used soloey by the Australian defence forces. There were 4x4 6x4 and 6x6 in different specifications and utikity uses, but some only had 1, may be 2 of them made, like a 1 off forward command radio vehicle, 6x6 with light armour and another with a small canon designed as a recon vehicle.
... and they had a great 3.9 Isuzu truck Diesel engine
Unique would be a series2 with original halfshafts.........
I owned 2 The older SWB was "Elissa" and the newer LWB was "Marla".
How about the Forest Rover ?
ahh another one, the glider winch Landy
Number 5 for me the long nose was the best 😂😂
Who doesn't need a cricket ball gearknob?
You should see the landy over on the channel Mr Hewes, very cool
We shall definitely go and check it out!
Very luxurious, Jensen powered,, well a 440 Mopar which should near resolve the lack of power in all Landrovers.
Got to be the four track , a very useful vehicle for obvious reasons
The longnose is for me
What about the roadless Land Rover. Rare nowadays
i was going to mention that one, i think the forestry commission had a hand in that one, i have the roadless book " from tracks to tractors " it has a few good pictures in there
Dunsfold land rover collection has one
There is one converted to steam with a big boiler in front
i have a 74 range rover with a carawagon camper conversion
#21 The Cuthburtson was used by contractors working fot the MOD cleating unexploded ordenance at old live firing ranges on the Essex coasti like Shoeberryness..
When I saw you mention Glenfrome was excited, I have a Glenfrome Portway 6 door, plus I also have a Scottorn Range Rover 6x6 no 3.
A tank is an armoured fighting vehicle. A car fitted with tracks but no armour or weapon is not a tank.
Forestry Commission had some 2A/air portables that used 28" rims/tyres from a Grey Ferguson. Loads of ground clearance, but poor cornering(!)
I may have a pic if you have an e.mail for me?
We of course would love to see these photos! You can send us an email to info@famousfour.co.uk :)
Nothing is "most unique" It's either unique or it isn't
That cricket ball gear shift know hast to be the best but as a hearse why not they have converted many vehicles into hearses including a sidecar on a motorcycle
Grammar pedant mode on. You can’t be more unique or less unique. You are unique or not unique, it is absolute.
Think the word you need is ‘rare’.
Well said.
I like the tracked version. Wonder if they still make them at the factory.
You can buy those tracks and fit them yourself. I've seen them on minis! Search "mini cooper on tank tracks" for the image.
It is June 24th, 2024. I have just watched a video about the battle for Crete, and am finding comments regarding LandRovers...!!!
Already loving this channel as a LR collector.🎉 Unique pretty landies. 👁️
Glad you like them! We hope to have some more videos coming soon.
I miss the 101FC Intercept Complex
If we ever make a coolest Land Rover list, the 101FC will definitely be on that list!
What about a view of the Laird Centaur half track Landy - ?
Unique is a very specific word, from the Latin, literally meaning 'one only'. It takes no modification and any attempt to do so will be grammatically incorrect.
At Minute 6:20:
Sorry, but i can't help myself....
I see the front fenders from an Opel Manta Coupe Series II...
...and the real side panel from a Renault R5, or at least the rear window!!!
Does anybody agree???
You cannot have "the most unique...." anything! Unique is an absolute; it is either unique or it's not - just like pregnancy, you've got one in the oven or you haven't. Little wonder our children do not know the English language.
The most unique Land Rovers are those that don’t break down, get stolen or spontaneously combust.
I second that motion!!! 🤠👍
Makes that very few then!!
Was the white Pope-mobile a Land Rover?
The last one looks like a baby from a Range Rover and a Renault 5…. Not sure what to make of that…
No mention of the Centaur?
I have a Solihull-built '127' that was built three years before the factory officially built 127s, but I know that it is not unique.
Please please, turn the volume down of that music 👍👍
"This particular car" IT'S NOT A FECKING CAR!!!
I want a facet where can i get one. No really i mean it. Where can i get one?
Where's the Centurion??
Is that you Father Stone?
Wherra pope-mobile?
putting tracks on a land rover does not "make it essentially a tank" FOOL what tank has ever done battle with aluminium bodywork ?? EEJIT
Subbed
Perfume on a pig versions
avoir fabriqué les meilleurs 4x4 du marché et maintenant faire des merdes chéres et pas fiables !!!ou est le defender ???? aux oubliettes !!!
I like the Jewish Land Rover.
Agree with Chris Knight, the title here is meaningless rubbish. Too many people say unique when they mean rare.
quando la Rover costruiva le Land Rover. Ora la Rover è scomparsa
