This is my fav fight night game by far...what ruined it tho, is people who boost their boxers together by sparring with friends 24/7 in the gym or buying all the boosts....i should not be getting my ass whooped by a person thats played 10 matches, I got my dude up to 87 overall rank the legit way and it just makes me angry when i get matched up with these people. Sometimes ill get lucky and knock em out or simply outsmart them but its hard considering i just dont have the athletic boosts.
im going to do some counter punch training tonight , haven't tried that training game yet & it'll probably sharpen up my counter fighting so i have a better shot with Tyson against Kiltschko . cant believe i only just got the game , its really good , i didn't really like the changes from FN3 at first but i think thats just because the Demo was only 3 rounds so you had to rush the fight & couldn't employ a proper tactic. very glad i got it. looking forward to doing other interesting match ups
@TheMrOreos My favourite two for the middleweight division probably Marvin Hagler or the obvious Sugar Ray Robinson, you also have the Welterweights in the middleweight division when playing a online match for some reason I'd suggest using Thomas Hearns for that weight class. Lightweight is a simple choice least I think so I'd pick Pernell Whittaker or Diego Corrales.
@JGBerserkR try to hit a lot of jabs and straights. but before you start using them try to create a swelling with hooks so the swellings can "open up" and start bleeding. always works for me :)
i was playing Champion mode or whatever today, its great so far, good job with this game i dont know how the hell you guys are gunna improve for next year !

Trust me pure boxing is the best way to play this game, i played a guy online who was mike tyson and i was roy jone jr, this guy knocked me down twice in the 2nd and once in the third, i boxed him in the 4th to the 12th round and knocked him down in the 10 and then knocked him out in the 12th with a minute left and i took my time just boxing and coutering...u just got to play the game smartly and box
@MastaSmack I understand moving around thats expected i dont just "spam out " I just get sick of people online turning it into a track meet instead of a fight. win or lose i dont care as long as its a good fight .... FIGHT being the key word here
@truboricua you do understand that in boxing if you block and then counter, well wait, when you counter, your not expecting it, its like getting punched with your eyes closed, your not expecting it, you cant set up to ride the punch, to move, to set up in genral.
@TheMrOreos Yes, very much so it effects their blocking strength and movement so you will be finding it easier to hit through their guard and just have a field day from the outside, that's pretty much how I fight all time depending how someone wants to take the fight to you.
@Pablov83 You have to unlock the flash KO in legacy mode, I know it's stupid. Saw itin another video. Check around your stats and see if you can find it.
The only drawback to the counter is having an opponent that doesn't throw very many punches. Its much harder to anticipate punches, and it could throw you off your rhythm.
I have the same problem. Seems like some people block counter all the time. And i just don`t get how they do it. No matter what you do you get a counter against you.

@RandomDude372 well i agree a lil moving is necessary... but if im im playing a boxig game and we have done more laps around the ring than than total punches thrown.. thats bull shit and quite frankly nothing is more boring than that. i would rether do like rockem sockem robots and and be completely stationary. than do 300 hundred laps and have 150-200 total combind punches thrown
The PB is actually real easy to due if you spam the button at about a 1/4 of the trigger pull. It's really the only problem I have with the game because some fools use it over and over again. Never moving. When you fight these guys you have to just win on points then make them chase you.
thas just how Prime Louis was.he was the best. hardest&some of the fastest punches in boxing,historys greatest counterpuncher,historys most accurate fighter,best technical fighter, capable of throwing any & every punch with near perfection, solid defense, tough as nails good stamina bt still a very economical fighter.69 wins,(57KOs)3losses.HW champ for 12 year during 1 of the toughest eras. KOd 15 ppl in first 2yr as champ all were top 10 hw at the time.and the only thing i spam r counters. :-)
& especially if he has 6ft arms like Vitali Klitschko as well lol . I just got the game 2 days ago & am getting pretty good , i thought id smash Vitali Klitschko with Tyson & Ali but didnt happen lol , im gradually finding a good strategy fo Tyson but it takes 100% focus when fighting Vitali Klitschko , makes for a really great interesting fight , only beat him once though so far out of like 8 fights . so i tried Ali thinking it would be a cake walk & id get some revenge but he KO'd me : (

I think i was trying to rush the fight cos it was late & i wanted revenge from him beating my Tyson so much lol, i only had 2 quick goes with Ali, i could tell i'd could beat him with Ali if i took my time like i was doing with Tyson. I was bobbing N weaving a lot with Tyson though, I did beat him one fight by just pressure fighting him & staying as close as possible & swaying , landing big hooks & uppercuts after blocking his punch, it was very close though
I hate when people rapidly tap the block button and get the counter it should be a penalty for doing this in stamina I wish the block was the way it used to be because in real life it takes energy to block and you dont block every punch if I punch to the body auto block will cover up you should be able to choose head block or body block the game decides when you connect
Unfortunately the slightest lag almost renders side stepping & weaving pointless I find. It doesn't enable you to time it quite right. As for perfect block, bare in mind that as realistic as this game is, its still a game and frankly I would prefer to have a counter punch rewarded for a perfect block than not at all...
Man that flash that should come when you get a clean counter has stopped working on my game lol ive changed the settings to default but still nothing. Anybody know why?
Souly I got the same problem a few months ago but I found out that in the camera setting it is set to simulation instead of cinematic. Simulation removes the flash to make it more real, you might have accidentally put it into simulation.

The problem i have is ppl who constantly stay close and do nothing but body punches, i can beat 98 percent of them its just annoying fightin ppl who try n cheat. Another one is the constant straight puncher everytime u body punch he steps back with his 8 foot reach and throws a straight, if u wanna fight one of the best in the game my gamertag iz MoNzTuhh hit me up.
@jcotterill round 4 was simple head movement was number 1 when it comes to counter punching anybobdy I fought on that game I beat the shit out of. Too easy...........
this year's version is definitely better than the last...much more authentic!! glad they got rid of all that arcade comedy shit...ie: getting knocked down and getting up like 4 or 5 times and those stupid signature punches

who hates when you play online middle weight and you pick a small fighter and they pick andre bishop or sugar ray robison and u cant do shit and lose in the first round, even if you have way more skills and they are just throwing random shit.

Movement in this game is so slow. It was like the stomachs have been stuck together with glue. In real life AlI would be able to get some space.
@faji187 WTF man? You can play online with you CAB. I dont get your point about Stamina but there is stamina in FNC. And the way skills are handled are a great way to make an individual and personalised fighter. Now fifa and all that shit sux but fight night is great.

no i use The Brown Bomber, a Real boxer who really had to work his ass off to be considered the best heavyweight of all time. issac frost is nothin but 1's & 0's he was only put in the roaster so skilled players know who are the noobs and bums without having to throw a punch

I got good at countering by taking the counter window down until I didn't need it anymore.
@TheMrOreos I like guys who throw loads of punches just move away from all day wait for them to tire then move in for the kill around 6 or 7th round.
