I really like these vids......shows lay people that boxing at the championship level contains so many nuances that a casual veiwer might not see.......most people think boxing(or any combat sport) is about just duking it out. Is either of the Sugars (leonard and robinson) in this one? Also, that last left hook by Ali was the best one I ever seen him throw LOL
@frisbyrb5 I defintley agree with the block system. But it is a smoother version, and the one punch kos are touch and go. Some are bull but some are legit. And what u say about the owning them on poiints then they get a flask ko. Happens alot too me to :S
@bandit7498 Being able to throw feints would be nice.... and I leverage in punches like if I step left and throw a over hand it should have more power then when I step right and throw that right hand... Also parrying would add to some realism
@BeatznHookz It's still in the game, they just tuned what it takes to earn it. The punch has to be 18-20 xp blocks and it has to be landed almost perfect. I have a recent loss that was caused by this and will put the video up on my channel soon. They did the same thing with cuts and swelling, still there, just much harder to acheive.
@bandit7498 I agree with everything u wrote that is true........about stepping in they basically mean stepping forward i'm talking about stepping to an angle to create more power....(not countering)
i agree round 3 was the best 1 made put this has more stuff You rather have a small bag of your favorite chips or a big bag of chips you like just not as much
@Eihcra96 if your head movement is high enough it shouldn't take so long for it to respond. if weaving doesn't work for you then try practicing the timing for side stepping and normal head movement. if none of that works then just lv your blocking high enough so you can counter the parries =p
The reason I never sidestep and weave (turning the LS in a quarter circle) is because there is so much lag in doing so. I have to wait half a second for it to happen and by that time, I'm already hit.
@HeresLukingAtUKid it depends on how high your combo lv is, also some blocks can interrupt your combo. training on the heavy bag push can help you get the timing right to keep that combo going without getting interrupted. you probably go crazy trowing punches when your opponent is stunned and hes simply blocking you and using a bit of foot work to make you look like a dummy =/
@superfilipino If you're talking about w/ created fighters, you have to earn more XP and up your stats. If you're talking about the others like Ali, I think it's more realistic here. In Round 4 people could abuse the step and counter to the point where it wasn't realistic. The step was too great and exaggerated. I'm guilty of using it too. But it was sort of arcady. Champion is damn near perfect.
@superfilipino It's all about your skill level pal. Just like in real boxing, except in real boxing if a fighter sucks they can really only blame themselves. He just sucks. But in games if a fighter sucks everyone blames the game maker. Personally I think this is the most accurate representation of real boxing ever on a video game. I've been playing Fight Night since '04 and played all the KO Kings games from day one. this blows them all away, even Round 4, as great as it was.
@bandit7498 nah its mainly the footwork a little 2 slow.and when i sidestep on fight night champion its a splt second delay.just using the footwork in general like using the whole ring just using the footwork really slow.mannys pacquiao footwork sucks on fight night champion.there legs are 2 slow.especially if your trying to avoid fighters when your hurt.it not like they can fight backwards fast enough or move side to side left to right fast enough.even if i use a counterpuncher or slickfighter
@bandit7498 bro i had everysingle one from knockout kings to the original fight night rd 1.but whatever i aint garbage in this game.i just know the footwork sucks in fight night champion.alis footwork is probably the best.but the side steppin needs workand fighting backwards
@HeresLukingAtUKid if your playing on G.O.A.T yep it sucks if your not a boxer type. Klitchsko has a good reach and tyson Do have Trex arms. if you like inside fighting, lower the difficulty to atleast Pro or you'll be pwned on later fights by the over blocking and footworking AI in Higher difficulties.
heres a tip EA =) put the game out worldwide next time ? 1 date.. the UK getting the demo 3 days early doesn't make up for us waiting for the game to come out 3 days late we should have it at the same time when i get this on friday i'm gona dominate everyone =] i had way over 400 fights on the demo online an only managed to lose about 10 times
@MrSandmanTv They tried the parry crap in round 2 and 3. Round 3 ruined parry. Way to arcadey and plain dumb. In a sense with Champion when if you time a block just right you get a good counter, so it's kinda like a parry. As far as feinting goes, guess you can't have everything. In round 2 you could pull back your punch and it wouldn't go unless you let it go. So that was a neat feint technique. But overall Champion is still the best boxing game ever. Stepping into punches DOES give more power.
@roflmao0o0o0o0 go lefty on the jab spammer and jab at the same time then counter when hes open. it is a boxing game and as in boxing the jab is a powerful weapon. for online try to use a boxer with a good reach and practice your jab. you can also just weave your way in and corner the guy then counter when they go desperate to get out of the way. these kind of fights takes patience but are the most rewarding imo.
You cant because it's a part of this fucked up gameplay. Round 2 was better than Champion control wise because you had to use different control sequences to block a specific area unlike in this p.o.s. where I can literally hold down BLOCK the entire game with no consequences for doing so and win a match the cheap way using that method
@MrSandmanTv This game has NOTHING to do with boxing. You can block almost everything just pressing 1 button, The punches are thrown at the speed of light, the movement SUCKS, the controls have lag, boxing from the outside is totally useless , as this game consists in standing at 2 inches from your opponent and throwing punches. Fight night 3 was a way better boxing game. Fight night 3 = simulation, FNC = Arcade
So I guess the glitch in this game is...IVE BEEN BEATING ALL OF MY OPPONENTS, AND ROUND 6-8 THEY WILL COME OUT AND BLAM.! 2 LOW BLOWS NO POINTS DEDUCTED AND IM OUT FOR THE COUNT, FUCKING BULLSHIT........
The Community needs a next Gen boxing game.
I still play this. make a new one
I really like these vids......shows lay people that boxing at the championship level contains so many nuances that a casual veiwer might not see.......most people think boxing(or any combat sport) is about just duking it out. @frisbyrb5 I defintley agree with the block system. But it is a smoother version, and the one punch kos are touch and go. Some are bull but some are legit. And what u say about the owning them on poiints then they get a flask ko. Happens alot too me to :S

@MastaSmack - no they took it out completely a while back then just after a recent update for fight night it was back in the game.
@BeatznHookz It's still in the game, they just tuned what it takes to earn it. The punch has to be 18-20 xp blocks and it has to be landed almost perfect. i want this game so bad hope i get it soon
@MrSandmanTv What would you suggest?
@Eihcra96 if your head movement is high enough it shouldn't take so long for it to respond. if weaving doesn't work for you then try practicing the timing for side stepping and normal head movement. if none of that works then just lv your blocking high enough so you can counter the parries =p
wen does this come out
The reason I never sidestep and weave (turning the LS in a quarter circle) is because there is so much lag in doing so. I have to wait half a second for it to happen and by that time, I'm already hit.

why arent these clips working for me anymore?
@bandit7498 nah its mainly the footwork a little 2 slow.and when i sidestep on fight night champion its a splt second delay.just using the footwork in general like using the whole ring just using the footwork really slow.mannys pacquiao footwork sucks on fight night champion.there legs are 2 slow.especially if your trying to avoid fighters when your hurt.it not like they can fight backwards fast enough or move side to side left to right fast enough.even if i use a counterpuncher or slickfighter

Footwork should be.. umm.. how can I word this.. More emphasized? Like I mean there should be more options that just side steps and such.
