I am a native Lebanese, I still get goosebumps every time I listen to Julia.
In 1982, Israel occupied southern Lebanon before the Lebanese resistance liberated all the lands and forced Israel to withdraw. This song glorifies the victories of the resistance. There are many songs that Julia sang for the resistance, such as (The Shams of Truth Has Gone, My Beloveds, Breath of Freedom) and one of her most important songs is (Where Are the Millions?) That is why she was nicknamed Julia. In the voice of the resistance, it is beautiful that Julia is a Christian woman, the resistance is Muslim, and the areas in southern Lebanon are majority Muslim areas
Resistance is not necessarily Muslim, but predominantly Muslim cause the population in the southern parts are Muslim shiites
FWIW Julia is secular but grew up in the Greek Orthodox. But your point stands. The resistance is not Sunni, Shia , Palestinian, Lebanese, or christian. It’s all of these things, and more, including Jews in and outside of Israel as well.
