Lakhimpur Kheri: Why Lakhimpur Kheri Victims' Families Are Angry With BJP

The blood that was spilled in Tikunia village on October 3, three years ago, a little distance away from the Kaudiyala Sahib gurdwara, where four protesting farmers and a local journalist were killed when a vehicle owned by Minister of State for Home Affairs of India Ajay Mishra 'Teni' - and allegedly driven by his son Ashish - run through them. Ajay Teni, who is fighting the Lakhimpur Kheri Lok Sabha constituency, was seen casting his vote today.
Since October 3, 2021, Paramjeet Kaur (35) has been grieving for her late husband, Daljeet Singh, who was among the five individuals killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Each day, she finds herself in tears, unable to shake off the pain of her loss. The tragic event unfolded as farmers were concluding their protest against Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya's visit amidst the now-repealed farm laws.
