I like to headcannon that Dedede's clan showed up and said they were now the rulers, the Cappys just didn't realize that wasn't how being over thrown works, and gave up instantly.
A major gripe I have with the show is that it doesn't really feel like it's about Kirby. He feels like a side character sometimes. It mainly feels like it's about tiff and tuff. Kirby's just along for the ride and for the fight scene for whatever episode it is.
Yo same, it should have been about Kirby and Meta Knight frankly! Every time it was a Meta Knight episode centering around the war with Nightmare and Kirby lore those were the episodes that slapped!
I choose to believe that if they did overthrow DeDeDe and replace him with, idk, random Town Cappy #3, irresponsible Nightmare Enterprise purchase hijinks would continue for a few episodes of "oh, what does this button do?" and "can the sunglasses man sell me a pizza?"
That actually would've been a fun idea for an episode: have the mayor and Dedede swap places for the day, the mayor unknowingly orders a monster (maybe he mistakes it for a pizza delivery service like you said, so the monster is entirely pizza-themed, or sushi, or whatever the Japanese equivalent of pizza is), and Dedede is left to help the town with repairs after Kirby defeats it.
I find it odd that they describe Dedede as having a Clan, but like we never see anyone of his clan except himself. You'd think he'd hire more of his clan than just him
It’s great that you say that, because the Pengi show up in a way later episode and Escargoon comments a couple of times on the resemblance between them and Dedede.
4:22 *You hear a trousle in the coffin* Edit: If this series is ever rebooted. they should hire you as a writer. Actually, a re-make of the cartoon episode with modern-day animation devices would be really cool!
i think it would be cool if the monster was the bone dedede that was 90 percent spine that way its an actual reflection of what curio did, and it would reflect a moral of consequences for lying, giving him involvement within the fight would also help, him knowing where the bones are easiest to break and him attacking those areas to break it apart
8:20 In keeping with the Kirby-Steven comparing, I wonder if Kirby also has a dysfunctional family. So far, the other members of his race we've met haven't been the best of people, and there was that weird rumor that Morpho Knight was his dad.
Looking back at this show, characters like the Animal Friends & hell, the partners from Super Star, got shafted in favor of cappies & other anime original characters. Pokemon Journeys has the same issues.
I think that was the only episode where Kirby fights something else besides a monster at first, since I'm pretty sure wheelie was involved in that episode, but I'm probably assuming some other episode.
Your point about how Kirby's never able to learn anything from other's mistakes or even be a part of the story at some points yet is still required to fix everything at the end _really_ makes me wish that he wasn't a baby in the anime, and was instead closer to the ambiguously-aged child he is in the games. Making him closer to Tiff and Tuff's age seems like it would allow for him to interact with characters in a much more natural way, as well as making it so he can actually _understand_ the morals being taught. The Mie Takase Kirby light novels actually handle this kind of thing really well, allowing Kirby to speak instead of restricting him to poyos and giving him a semi-character arc where he learns not to inhale people without their permission and become more proactive when it comes to saving Dreamland, and the more of them I read the more upset I get that the anime restricted what he could do so severely.
I agree. It gives more screen time to others character than Kirby, which should be the main character of the series! If only it is close to the game or the pilot. It feel like the anime wanted to be close to real life instead leaving in a new, fantasy world that Kirby is all about. It's angering to learn that HAL adapted the game, they know more about the source material! I wished the anime was better than Right at Ya! I avoid Game adaption Light Novel, you give me more reason to read one even if I read a rant from Reddit.
@@lightningmanectric3096 That wasn't the problem. The problem was the entire episode consists of a misunderstanding regarding Kirby eating her unborn baby when he didn't. And that's basically all that happens for 80% of the runtime.
There was an episode where this huge chrysalis appeared from Whispy Woods out of nowhere, and it opened to reveal a giant evil butterfly monster thing. Also, the episode was trying to teach the audience about allergies for some reason. Edit: Nevermind, it was found on an island, not in Whispy Woods.

In this anime, yes dreamland only consist of these small areas of Cappy Town and Whispy Woods. It is incredibly tiny.
I'm just waiting for a review of the episode where dedede does nothing but eat chips for weeks and gets really fat
Just realized how tall af sword knight is in the anime, and I’m pretty sure he’s about the same height as meta knight in the game-
Yes the characters with no dimensions besides job and dumb should be the main focus of the episode
there are a hundred episodes. having one about him is perfectly fine
To be fair some of them have there moments and I kinda liked the episode that explained Gus’s past
