Wow.. I don't understand how people in these comments are complaining about hardcore dancing at a HARDCORE show. The ability to dance is one of my favorite things about hardcore. IMO there's nothing like 2-stepping and grooving with the people in your scene. It's not about being a tough guy.. it's about moving with the music and having fun with your buds. I agree it does look funny when you're not used to seeing it and don't really understand it. But if you think about it, all types of dancing can be seen as weird and ridiculous. It just depends on what you're into and where you come from. For example, I think the push putting at metal shows is ridiculous and looks like you could do it without music. But it's a part of that type of music and makes sense to the people in that scene.
I totally respect that now. When I first heard about hardcore dancing I was very much of the opinion that it was dangerous and killed the vibe of the show, and in some cases (mainly those that included people who WERE doing it to be tough) I do still believe that. But when I saw Trash Talk play a show just up the road from me, I noticed the people that were flailing their arms around and 2-stepping were being very cautious that they didn't get too near anyone that wasn't in the pit, and if they did happen to knock into someone, they'd check they were okay and apologise. That totally reassured me. At the end of the day it's a form of expression, whether it looks silly or not, and as a person who supports that 100% I can't condemn it. I guess the danger of the act can only be measured by the intentions of the participant. If you're doing it to hurt people and crowdkill, get the fuck out. If you're just enjoying the show and fancy a dance, and you're being cautious that you don't purposely cause someone harm, there's no problem at all.
most of the guys that hardcore dance in my scene do it for the specific purpose of trying to hurt people that arent moshing the way they are. so as far as im concernee, fuck hardcore dancing
What I love about this video is half the people dont know them and since Code Orange Kids are so unpredictable everyone starts 'throwing down' and this blast beat kicks in ahahha
0:00 Intro; 0:48 V (My Body is a Well); 2:58 Nothing (The Rat); 6:10 Cycles (The Days Get Longer); 7:35 Liars // Trudge; 10:17 Flowermouth (The Leech); 12:35-onwards i'm not sure...
Hold on guys im gonna comment on how hardcore dancing at a hardcore show is gay and that im tuff and fyte people but in reality i dont go to shows or support my local scene and if i went to a real hardcore show or metalcore show and tried to fight all the moshers like i stated i would that i would in fact be curbed stomped and be kicked out for instigating a fight. btw did i mention that im a navy seal?
Look up the lyrics. But if you're asking that question you would have to ask it for almost all extreme metal/hardcore/hardcore-punk and the like. It's not that rare
@5:30 10 people enjoying the show while everyone stands to the side for fear of getting their nose broken at something they paid to see. ...sometimes i kinda hate hardcore.
+FriedEagleMind what? ...i just think it's lame that 100 people can't fully enjoy a show because they don't want their nose broken by the one meathead who *reallllly* hates his job and feels the need to aggressively punch air to express himself (something they probably learned from a youtube video in 2003- not actual self expression)
Not bad. I slept on these guys for a while because of the silly name and the type of fans they seem to attract but they fit in nicely with what I listen to. Always entertaining to watch a bunch of idiots attack the air and skip around trying to look hard.
If I turned the sound off I'd swear this was a Zumba session. Code Orange Kids are too good of a band for people to treat their music like fight songs.
@@SamuelStuckless you can find videos of people already hardcore dancing to shit like agnostic front, madball, 25 ta life, etc. Its been around for awhile
If your a true hardcore fan how could you say "hardcore sucks" or some shit like that? fucked up. and hardcore may not be for you then. and thats fine. Just cause these guys are moshing by themselves doesn't mean anything. I feel proud if not many people are in a big pit and just standing off to the side watching while i'm going to town by myself. Because the only reason i'm there is to support a band i love, get out my anger, and have FUN. Yes its fun to have big badass pits, and as fun as it is punching or kicking someone in the face (in the chest is fun too) thats not what its all about, hardcore is more than that. Maybe your right, maybe some of these guys are afraid to get punched in the face, and thats their choice. it makes them no less into hardcore as you. I never comment on youtube cause its always all BS but i've never seen so many people diss on a LIFESTYLE (yes its more than just music) than i have to this video from people that supposedly "like" this band and their music. real nice...
Or maybe cause Hardcore dancing looks stupid when your trying to be tough with it, I understand that some people go and do it to blow off steam, Now I am not really a pit guy I am more of the up front stage diver and yelling type of person, but if your one of those guys that trys too look hard and impress people with your arm flailing, picking up change or go and hit someone on purpose, then you look like a tool and are going to be made fun of, those are the type of people who make Hardcore look like you have to try to be Hardcore, and you can't enjoy the music and the message and you have to look like the hardest person there.
Tender Crisp I like this. although i'm sure it looks stupid to most people since not many people are into hardcore which makes me happy inside lawl either way.. just have fun and were there to take care of each other no matter if you're a pit guy or stage diver XD

hardcore dance, whatever flows your boat, not here to judge. But some of the people in the pit are fucking hilarious to watch.
Mad to see their transition
Right?
Swing my arms run to this side,
Swing my arms run to that side.
It’s been almost a decade and no one has commented on Eric’s awesome posi-jump @0:50
I hope they never lose this energy that they when performing
RapturedGamer13 welp look at them now, better than ever
It's 2022. Not only they never lost it, they expanded on it further.

@4:54 that guy in the front. THAT is how you enjoy a show
You mean the one with the white snapback?
If you ain't that guy at a show did you even experience the show..
Code Orange Kids >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Code Orange
Carlos Asuncion same members, different band in my eyes
What I love about this video is half the people dont know them and since Code Orange Kids are so unpredictable everyone starts 'throwing down' and this blast beat kicks in ahahha
I just saw these guys a couple days ago, and my god, no other band has gotten a rise from me as good as C.O.K. did. Best pit I've ever been in.
gotta love the sweet somersault at 5:33
this is so good. dangggg
That venue is huge.
What a performance.
Dang, how far they've come in 7 years.
they make really great music
Love a nice, open pit. Looks like a really fun show.
This is the best band in the world! And that's me controlling my emotions....!
i like the extreme aerobics going on in the pit
this band ♥
Milo of the Descendents's played the bass
best current band
Fucking intense! Can't wait to see them!
Did that @ their set in MI
I wish they actually made the intro an actual studio recorded song
Whoa, one month ago? Tonight in Chicago she had a whole sleeve..
Just saw them last night. They were sick
whats the song/intro they are palying at the beginning thx
damn, the instrumental parts were cut out!

sidestage is more popular than frontstage these days...
07:58 what the actual fuck hahaha omg im loosing it, is there a guy ROLLING actually ROLLING in the background?
DopeCameL Yeah some people just look fucking hilarious in the pit
Thankful for this recording and video but damn you cut the transitions between songs and those are so sick
Tracklist please. Very solid set!
i thought it was one track
I didnt know CoC are Adventures without Keyboard
Why cut the clean parts? Contrast killer!
SAVAGE
You guys should get the setlists and times and put it in the description of your videos!
This band fucking crushes. Anybody know the setlist?

Wow these are like their infant years
I wish that was me in the middle there
this is the truth. it always been.
1:27 What does Eric use to make the guitar sound like that? sounds awesome!
Los movimientos del bajista jajajajaja ♥
he's fine
What's the first song?
Why is everyone on the sides not in front of the stage??
probably because they don't appreciate being swung at or kicked at and wanted to enjoy the show without having a self-defense seminar mid show.
Cuz gettin crowdkilled sucks
Looks like a bunch of epileptic kids trying to swim. But i enjoy it
maravilhosos
Si señoooorrr
Why is every one on the wall or the side of the stage, instead of in front of it?
PS this band is awesome!
hardcore dancers/moshers
The people to the side are the people who don't wanna get hit
alex adwwe Laaaaaaame. In the good ole days, those folks just stood in the back!!
Wasn't feeling the vocals at first. It took a second for me to accept them
I can't even. What?

what is the song of the minute 9:00?
liars / trudge
Part of what makes this band awesome is their dynamic sound, and by cutting out most of the clean stuff you ruined this video.
he's having fun while playing wtf do you want from the guy?
insanity?
cause it's an hardcore band?
for when you really hate the floor soooo baaaad!
a lot of bass players like to face their drummer too.
Who's the guy at 5:25?
Singer of Wrong Answer
HeartFest pretty sure that is the wrong answer... XD
ALL THESE KIDS ARE SOFT HOW ARE YOU NOT LOSING YOUR MIND?!?!
0:25

literally sums up most shows in a sentence. too true.

if I pay to see a show I'm going to do whatever the fuck i want. Not dancing dosent mean your not into it. different strokes for different folks.
What the fuck are all those kids doing just standing around?!?!?!?!?!!

oh..wait...my bad.
Dude, it's a hardcore band. What do you expect?
oh my god i prefer this code orange so much more than the theatrical, performative 'hardcore' aesthetic they have nowadays
I'd like to think they'd get a better draw but the lack of douchebaggary in the pit is nice.
fr. Everybody just doin their thing
noo....

code orange kids are a hardcore band, playing a hardcore show. THIS IS HOW HARDCORE KIDS DANCE FFS, PEOPLE DO THIS FOR ALL HARDCORE MUSIC.
Alex Kontekakis don't try to justify this emergent behaviour to me, hardcore kids started doing this "dance" loooong after hardcore was invented.
