Two russian migs took down the ship with air to surface missiles fyi thats why they said "2 bogeys incoming", "fast movers probably migs" and shortly after the heli crew say "enemy aircraft inbound, shit! They've opened fire you have to get out of there now!" Thats why the ship starts capsizing and sinking. Edit: either way they probably are dead if two russian fighter jets have leveled the ship with missiles, also they were in the bering straight which is russian airspace so it makes sense that the migs were scrambled.
"Charlie don't surf" has to be one of my favorite missions on this whole game, is just the right amount of shooting and chaos (in which cod games exceed at) a shame not the whole game is like this since there is a heavy emphasis on being an spec-op guy.
I totally 100% agree. Charlie Don't Surf is the only mission I play from the entire game, and I usually save and quit by the time I get to the TV station. I love the urban/ middle eastern/ cinder block setting. And like you said it has just the right amount of tactical gameplay and chaos.
Playing "Charlie dont surf" at like 10 years old is probably one of the main reasons I joined the gun club

There's a part in MW3 where you're diving trying to board a sub. The sub pulls up next to you and you don't move at all in the wake.

A little bit late but about the Black Ops : Cold War game, it's a remake of the black ops universe and it's confirmed that it's linked to Modern Warfare 2019,so yeah, it's a completely new game with a new story
I wish we had a Cod Ghost 2 and we had the Marines back up the Playable Cod Ghost 1 Characters because they are alive since it's a Different Universe

This game was actually the first FPS game I played on console, and I remember struggling a lot with this because I always played FPS games on PC rather than console

There are some changes from original I think as I remember the 1st marine mission starting from street level and certainly not with a chopper ride ?
No, the first Marine mission was always fast-roping from a helicopter. There are small changes like AI reacting to where they are shot, instead of playing 'their' scripted animation. Shooting someone in the head and they act like its a gut-shot was never amusing. There's a few "needless but immersive" animations added in but nothing extra. None of the 'continuety issues' have been resolved. The most obvious is actually from MW2, end mission on the right-side of a littlebird, start next mission on the left. But in this game Hunted-Death From Above has the biggest issue. You're 5 men in Hunted but it turns to an 8-man team when in the AC130. Also, two chinooks for 8 people is pretty overkill.
Have you played brothers in arms? If so what's your opinion? I liked it. Hell's highway had the best gameplay of course, it's a shame they never went to bastonge :(
