BF3 is how a lot of us kept in touch after the Marines. But that fizzled when XBOX 1 came out and then BF4.
Grew up playing a lot of BF3. Still one of my faves to this day
Ok I know this is not related to the comment but does any of the battlefield games have a local or bot mode I have trash WiFi and no friends and I think the servers are dead considering the games a little old

I personally believe that battlefield 4 has a better campaign(except for the disgrace of Hannah). The gunfights feel way more realistic in bf3 though.
For more realism you should try Arma 3 or Squad!

Battlefield 3 & 4 were my favourite period with this franchise... Just love the sandbox style.
Hopefully battlefield 2021 goes back to the 3/4 style.

It's weird because I remember early previews of this game, they put an ACOG on your rifle but the final product they went with an EOtech
They also fixed the reload animation. He used to pull the charging handle on an empty reload back in development
Amazing game, such a turning point in online gaming like modern warfare 1 or black ops. I think for anyone our age these games are iconic because we grew up with ps1/2 shooters

battlefields realism is its weakest and strongest trait. but the movement is kinda wank. and call of duty has terriblle players. thats why my favorite realism shooter is phantom forces roblox

Battlefield 3 somehow made the bombastic action thriller drama movies (also cop action movies lol) of the early 2010s feel more grounded and gritty and I'll always have heaps of appreciation for BF3 after all these years
I honestly wish that more shooter games did stuff like this or messed with almost cliché movie genre archetypes
back when fps campaigns actaully had a good story and brilliant gameplay

I remember playing battlefield 3 so much on my ps3, getting max level, always coming on top, playing so much with my friends, z11 was always my favorite helicopter to use i would always steal it when i was on the US side and i would always get trashed talked by it, but atp i was having fun playing it and they would always do it too so it was fair.
had the same experience with controller & keyboard/mouse setup, gotta get used to playing mainly with the mouse and secondary with the controller until you map the keybinds

Great video as always mate, I can totally see your stance between Battlefield and Call Of Duty as I myself am more of a battlefield player. The guns in battlefield have a lot more weight than Call Of Duty in general combined with all the point you said at the beginning. However, I do believe the latest Modern Warfare has really fixed that issue as the gun play and weight of the guns feel really satisfying. Regardless, I love both franchises.
Hey man. I lost my right leg and I’m just glad I still have my knee. Battlefield is for sure the best game for any type of real shit. Btw I don’t take any pain meds anymore, was on 20mg oxy every 5 hours for years. Va just wants to throw oxy at us it seems

mouse and keyboard is much more natural to me when trying to aim and stuff maybe give it a go its not bad
also very sharp head turns can give people motion sick so easy to follow slow turns are probably a bit better

I served in the army infantry, did a tour in iraq back in 04. First off thanks for your service brother, and i agree with you 100% about battlefield over call of duty. Call of duty is fun and everything but it lacks destruction and large maps and noticeable bullet drop. I remember when BF3 came out and i fuckin love this game. If you wanna run some Mil Sims on steam sometime let me know. We can play squad if you haven't played it yet its pretty awesome. Its even more lethal than this game on hard lol. I know this is a old video and you prob wont see it. Either way take care man!

CoD for story, Battlefield for guns, sandbox (which, in campaign, was dropped after Bad Company), and multiplayer. Not that Battlefield’s campaigns aren’t good, but it says a lot when people talk more about the stories to Bad Company than they do about 3, 4, Hardline (which I actually enjoyed), and the multiplayer demos that are the story modes in 1 and 5. (5 had a story, right?)

I recommend you playing squad and Arma 3
The new Modern Warfare kicks ass but it still has that "Call of Duty 4" element to it. The goofiness in the movement and stuff. Kills feel arcade and very fast. Most the time you don't know what your enemy looks like. It's like you shoot or knife them and they disappear. Battlefield feels more intimate and the kills feel way more rewarding. The enemies also have a certain uniform look to them. You feel like you're fighting an actual army. Russians have the big helmets and cool Assault look. Chinese have that SWAT look. Americans have that badass look. The shooting feels so much better in that game.

Something I loved about BF3 and MW2. Was that you were more of a normal soldier and not taking on an entire Russian Battalion with Attack Helicopters chasing you. MW2 had some missions In America as it's being invaded. You were just a regular soldier dealing with the situation. I'd love if we got more, Especially if it wasn't all in the middle east. I'd love more missions in America or even someplace like Japan.

This is my favorite battlefield game. There’s other good battlefield game and I know that battlefield 2 and 4 may have weapons crates, but to me I didn’t like that because it didn’t look realistic. But I sleep love them nonetheless.

Definitely the best battlefield for story and multiplayer. Just my favorite by far. Damn... i love Montes as a character, still holds a place as one of my most favorite characters out of any game by far. But as others have said, for realism, I suggest Arma 3 or Squad. If you want a realistic experience and awesome team work out of a game, I suggest squad 😁. It is a multiplayer only game, but it puts players in a realistic squad sized element, but each team is of a small company size. So it puts them in 50v50 combat scenarios. Each squad has a Squad Lead and other limited classes ranging through all the basic MOSs in a squad. The only branch for the Americans is the Army currently, but they have other sides as well, such as the brits, Russians, Iraqi Republican Guard (Don’t remember what the game called them), Taliban (again not what the game called them), Eastern European Rebels (don’t remember what the game called them) and they also have some interesting maps as well, especially one I think you will like, Falluja. From what I understand, they plan to add the Marines in soon. Oh, almost forgot, they also allow FOB creation, which is quite fun and realistic to a point. You can build it anywhere, the SL places markers for what to build and the grunts build it. They also have fairly realistic mortars and gridded maps. If you get a command squad, that SL can call in A-10 gun runs and Howitzers. By far my favorite game and I think you would especially enjoy it by the sounds of it. I remember when I played one time and my squad ended up getting pinned down by heavy Russian forces, ranging from infantry to heavy armor. Thank god I was in a wooded environment, so only the infantry could push all the way up to the village. By my squad and almost the entire team was pinned in a massive 1 hour long fire fight for an objective and I was the automatic rifleman. I had to keep switching to the north and west sides of the compound and suppress the incoming hostile infantry, for our M240s were repeatedly getting tapped my enemy marksmen. Can’t say how many times I ran out of ammo for how many times I just had to suppress. Oh, that brings up one last thing, there are proper logistics in the game, so you need supplies and ammo to build up FOBs. Logistical transport trucks and transport Hilo’s can carry supplies to anywhere you think you can fit a fob. But they need to be driven by someone to do so obviously. It’s not so popular, as they are a prime target for the enemy. Especially when they try to choke an annoying FOB of its supplies and over take it. This game is never dull when it’s full and you have a good SL. Anyways, hope you see this message and look forward to seeing if you check it out. They should remake this game, obviously graphically but just tinker with the realism aspect, it's better than all battlefield games in my opinion.
For me it depends like for campaign story call of duty all the way but multiplayer battlefield is better

you should definitely try out Modern Warfare. and this is me coming forming Battlefield 4, strict vet. but when you try Modern Warfare try out all your attachments and you’ll see how they effect your gun. won’t say it’s realistic like Battlefield but it does have fluidity in it

The reason why the camo looks like that is because its not a really good graphic design i mean this game was released in 2011 so graphics weren’t that great but tge camo is MarPat desert
