I honestly miss Shannon on Undisputed. It isn't the same without him. I think it's sad but speaks to the professionalism Shannon has to not talk bad about Skip. I think Skip was ungrateful for the work Shannon put in and put up with him for 7 years. After Skip disrespected him everyone knew it was the end.
Skip did disrespect him one time but I think Skip has some regrets to but at his age he can't hold on he has to move on.

This is all kind of ironic. Stephen A had a similar relationship with Max Kellerman and he did the same thing Skip did. SAS and Skip are one in the same. The only difference is that SAS presents himself as a better dude.

It's honestly sad to hear that Skip and Shannon didn't develop a relationship that was outside of work. Thry certainly masked it well because of the camaraderie they had 95% of the time. Its weird to think that they were just like most of us who punch in and out of work without being all that tight with our coworkers.
You don’t have to form a relationship on the outside of work. They made magic together and that’s all that mattered. Not everyone is going to be your friend outside of work.

A long time ago Shannon disclosed on air that he had gone through a devastating breakup the year prior, and Skip looked genuinely surprised and said he had no idea. I knew then they weren’t friends or even knew anything about each other.

One small thing I noticed was when Shannon named all the people that worked behind the scenes at FS1 and teared up about the finality of leaving people he described as his family, the first thing Stephen A says is well you said nothing about Skip. There was real human vulnerability there and it seemed like he was just waiting for Shannon to say something negative about Skip. Maybe im overthinking though.

Stephen A told him then he was going to ask these type questions when they interviewed. You see Shannon didn't mind answering and even expanded.
Remember the first day of First Take? That weird skit and it was almost like sas was flexing and letting everyone know its HIS show.
My opinion is that this whole relationship seems off and not genuine care from the side of sas. Ive seen Shannon on tv for years, and this doesn’t seem like him.

Im so glad Shannon said this! Skip didnt make him, but instead extended a mutually beneficial opportunity on the show. Shannon had worked on TV before and had all that personality + was qualified to talk sports at a high level. Skip saw that and thats why he wanted him. He didn't do him a favor tho, it's a job and Shannon is great at it
He did him a favor. That job would have went to someone else and they would have done just as well so for management wanting to go somewhere else and the guy fought for him to get the job and not only that one time, but when shannon started his antics with the goat mask and whatnot, MANAGEMENT, told shannon to cut the crap, but, SKIP, let me repeat, SKIP went to management and told them to let shannon be who he is... So I guess that wasnt doing shannon a favor for which he didnt have to do. I bet that fs1 do the same numbers without shannon

To say doing a favor implies that you didn't earn it or work for it. That's like saying you go to college, get great grades, get a degree, and then when you get hired it's because they did you a favor? Lol Nah you worked for that and beat out other candidates period. Shannon mentioned after he interviewed they told him they weren't going to interview anyone else obviously because he had killed it. How is that a favor getting hired? Stephen A pulled what Kobe Byrant would do. Kobe said he found OKC a threat because of Russ, James, KD and Segie. He admitted he told russ you don't have to pass the ball to them. He helped break them up. Stephen A did the same thing. Pull up old interviews during the time Skip and Shannon was having issues. Stephen A during interviews would say he reached out to skip to see if he is ok and to speak with him. Skip never got back to him. Stephen A saw he couldn't get skip so then reached out to Shannon and Shannon got back to them. Prior to this look it up, Stephen A wanted to hook back up with Skip; they were talking about it and then talks ended and Skip re-upped his contract with FS1. I think Stephen A wanted one of them and he was able to get shannon. He is using Shannon. All this we are new best friends that go to games and all that shit is only going to last for so long.

I think the problem with Shannon and skip , it became an issue of skip being just a jerk to Shannon. I can tell Shannon seems like a very good guy and skip seems like the type person that would give you a chance and like you for many years but eventually will get tired of being around you and start to diss you.
The situation with max and Stephan A was that max was a a very chill guy and who didn’t like confrontations and he was very educated and I think max was just not very loud guy and he seems very calm. The other issue was that a lot of black athletes respected max more than than Stephen A. I can tell it rubbed Stephen A the wrong way.
