Aqui fica mais um testemunho de quem vive perto de Sintra e assistiu às passagens dos Grupo B: ABSOLUTAMENTE INCRÍVEL!!!!
Não só os carros, mas também o ambiente que se vivia... Ainda passei a ver o Rallye em Arganil, mas não era a mesma coisa... os WRC não transmitem a mesma emoção...

Eu assisti em 85, tinha 8 anitos. Ainda hoje me arrepio todo quando me lembro da traseira do Timo Salonen a cuspir fogo como um dragão ... :)
Ahhh k saudades .... Assisti ao vivo aos rally´s 84/85/86 .... Aquilo e k eram maquinas e pilotos.. Adoro o WRC mas epa.... O Grupo B e que era !!
The inboard is Fafe-Lameirinha. The stage where the accident occurred with Joaquim Santos on the RS200 was in the Lagoa Azul stage near Sintra ...

É isso mesmo. Há videos que captam a descarga de adrenalina que sentiam as pessoas de fora. Gente aos saltos, com as mãos na cabeça em absoluto extâse. Era qualquer coisa fora do normal, diria mesmo irrepetível :D
é triste, so um comentario para estes meninos lindos que dizem mal do rally de portugal, os GRANDES pilotos tanto gostavam disto que ate casa compraram cá!!!!
It's from the 1985 Portuguese Rally, I'm sure. It's close to the famous "Fafe" jump, if I'm correct.
The onboard in original status, clearly shows the "Rally Vinho Porto" sticker on the bonnet.

Very much people say that they just couldn't drive at those speeds knowing that they could kill someone.
Do you know how the pilots were able to do that??
They said that they looked to people and pretend they were trees.

Some stupid people say that 'we' were responsible for the end of the Group B. We helped, yeah, but think about, Surer, Toivonen, etc. They didn't crash in Portugal... A few days after Toivonen crashes at the SS-18, the Fédèration Internationale du Sport Automobile decided to cancel Group B. However, ther's no excuse for these images...

The croud of course, the driver was just trying to avoid 2 ppl that were on interior curve and lost control of the RS...what do you expect from a machine with more then 500 bhp when it gets out of control? Off course an accident...

Não krubach, o foamuno tem uma certa razão, depois do que aconteceu em Portugal, a morte do Toivonnen foi a gota d'água que levou à decisão de extinguir o Grupo B.

Eu adorava ver o rally novamente de norte a sul (principalmente em sintra :p ), mas o problema axo q nem é o custo.
São é as novas regras da FIA em q o rally tem q ser feito num raio de x kms do acampamento principal.

Somos talvez o povo que mais vive o desporto automovel... ainda hoje até provas de pericias, rallys amadores/profissionais, atraem mais pessoas do que a maior parte dos jogos de futebol ! So tenho pena de nao ter nascido a tempo de ver estas bestas de 4 rodas ao vivo... :S

How stupid can you be to think that the drivers love to hit people on the side of the roads...? You cant drive correctly if you have to take care not to hit anyone... Concentration is the most important thing while driving a rally car... And when every second counts, being distracted can cost victory or even your life and the lives of spectators... So dont tell us, drivers love portugal for its "Brave" people...

enfim, vamos ser sinceros o rally terminou nao por causa do publico. sabemos bem que os governantes deste pais so querem futebol e estadios pk isso da que falar e enquanto eles enchem os bolsos de €. outro do motivo que levou a terminar o WRC em portugal foi que a maioria das meninas que estao hoje como pilotos so sabe guiar de dia e em piso seco.

Santa ignorância... os Grupo B acabaram por causa da morte do Henri Toivonnen.
Os tugas tiveram culpa de perderem o seu rally, mas não do fim dos Grupo B.

Os Tugas com esta merda de postura ajudaram a extinguir o Grupo B dos Rallyes.. Ca merda!!
Tenho pena de nunca ter visto ao vivo, pois adoro os carros. Especialmente o 205 T16 : )
Até tenho (quase) vergonha de ser português e ver tanta ignorância e estupidez junta... Pareciam que estavam a querer fazer uma pega de caras aos carros. Enfim, tristezas eighties! Aparte disso, a montagem está superba!
