Nunca estive em Fafe, mas tive o prazer de ver os últimos dois anos do (verdadeiro) Rally de Portugal na zona de Pte de Lima. Tinha 10/12 anos e lembro-me daquela atmosfera completamente incomparável com aquilo a que se assiste hoje. Não se via o Rally, vivia-se o Rally!
I still remeber when I was a kid, schools would close, factories would give the day off, the spanish would come to see Carlos Sainz in action. those your good times and although I do love the Fafe track all of nothern Portugal was amazing.
For those who don't believe that the Portuguese Rallyes and Fafe is (or was) one of the best Rallye stages in the world, listen carefullty the last phrase of the video.
Nao vale a pena diferenciar onde será melhor ou pior, concordo é que façamos força e barulho para que o rally seja distribuido geograficamente por Portugal. Nao tenho duvidas que as politiquices é fazem com o rally actualmente seja no Sul ( Turismo ). enfim...
@MyDresa They pay more money in the south to have the rally.. but people would earn a lot more money if it was in the north because they had way more spectators. The problem is that there were too many people.. and nowadays with the strict safety measures there would have to bee way too much control.

National Championship still using this stages, and people say that you can see more spectators at Fafe then in Algarve's stages for the WRC.
