From JAPAN。 BAND-MAID is a great live band, and I'm sure ,everyone would recommend the live version. That does not mean that music videos are boring. They never have a bad song, so you won't be disappointed with a random song selection.
This video is their second MV after Thrill! And yes: Their official live video of "Real Existence" from 2018 is also great ... harder, louder, faster 😀 and much fun on stage 🕊

Anything they do in the studio, they take to the stage, and in most cases it's better. This song is the perfect example of how good they are live. I read somewhere a while ago that Saiki once said "This is what we're all about" referring to this song live.
Even if you don't do a separate reaction, it's well worth a gig.

When anyone ask why I like Band-Maid I play that.
They go harder and softer, faster and slower than this, but it still captures the spirit of the Band perfectly.
This being their second video, I feel like after Thrill saved the band and gave them a new direction to head in (more hard rock than pop punk), this song was kind of a statement of "This is who we are, expect a lot more of this!" Just straight-ahead energy, with all of those Band Maid touches. Also, I saw someone a while back say that in this video they realized Akane the drummer is basically Animal, the Muppet drummer. There are times in this video where she's bouncing up and down, thrashing the drums, with her hair bouncing around, and now that I've seen it, it's just like Animal and I can't unsee it. ^_^

Yes, cool culture, very different from our western sensibilities, etc. This is an actual temple and they had to be "quiet" when filming (Akane is using pads) and no shoes when they are in the temple proper, but still a very cool vibe. And the music is great!

There has been a new wave of Pop Punk in the UK since before Covid- 2019. Bad arse lyrics by young new bands- Kid Capichi, Nova Twins etc.

Definately a real temple....if you notice out of respect they removed their shoes when they are filming in the temple
