As a cosmetic lover, I really dig FM cosmetics because while using them, you can really see that they did put a lot of effort and care in the formulation process. The quality is outstanding . Especially when you compare their cosmetics to brands like Burberry, which are a total joke and a money grab. Bonjour from Paris!

Having been through all the Musc Rav products I’ve come to realize that only the body oil Is a must have for me and will repurchase once my bottle is finished and of course I have a few back up bottles of the fragrance .
@@blankmandastankman The body butter is a good product and I’ve used it up but I don’t find that it’s something that I’d repurchase given the fact that I have other lotions that do the trick for my extremely dry skin but I did repurchase the body oil which I really enjoy as well as the hair mist.

Probably, but they amped up the water as well as the concentration. Previously, it was Alcohol, Perfume and then water in the ingredients list, in that order. Now it is Alcohol, Water and then Perfume. Which means they put more water in it than previously, since there is also water in the Alcohol they put in, it must be above the perfume oil concentration overall. We are talking here about few percentage changes/difference. The order goes form most in the bottle to least. That is how i understood it when i looked into it. Quite a lot of FM fragrances had above 80% Alcohol when they first came out before 2010, but they are now around 78-80%. Which isn't good or bad per se, just different. But FM was open about changes and reformulations to his fragrances, sometimes forced (by regulations) and sometimes unforced (forced by Estée Lauder i guess).
one of my top 5 fragrances...but only in cold weather...I think its the amt of sprays you put on..I find that i never wear Bel Ami on my neck..then i would be a bit difficult. I have been wearing this frag since its beginning tapered bottle...the re forms are still good.....love it

That and the ingredients would tell me whether the the Sept. 2021 bottle I just received from the USA's leading high end fragrance emporium (Costco 😉) has been reformulated.
I do unfortunately get vanilla out of this maybe, every 20th wearing... 3 bottles and many samples later.. I do remember, wafting in musky, anamalic, haze of vanilla years ago, but it plays out on my skin like that few and far between

I'm eyeing the Geranium Pour Monsieur shower gel, the iris hand cream, and very tempted by one of the perfume guns (even sorta curious about Mon Lit).
Yeah, the Butter and the Oil especially has me really curious, as I am very limited by my work in wearing fragrance, something milder that is more of a skin-glow would be more appropriate, and the butter/lotion/oil, if it lasts a bit seems very attractive for wear when fragrance would be out of the question.

I thought Premiere Avenue's owner was Laurent Mazzone actually hence you always get LM samples with orders. You missed the old formulation of MR Eugene (the one with the engraved non shiny black caps). The first time I smelled it, I ordered it on the spot and turns out the one I got was the new edition that was fluffy and no grunginess at all like the old one. The whole no floral thing in the description is because all scents AFAIK have florals in them while this one doesn't.
I have the same issue with Bel Ami Vetiver. One of the things they have in common is this vibe which bothers me. It's always there. It's not this thin note disappearing from time to time. It must be me in the mood and prepared for the whole thing and only then I can enjoy this juice. And I do quite a bit. Taking about Hermes, I like the Rocabar tad more. Probably for not having the bel-ami-issue. I also have a similar frag wearing routine with some of my favorites, as you with MR. I mean, I make them accomplish a promising day or event. And it can only happen few times a year and that's perfectly alright. Nothing to do with a price tag and saving the juice for the future. It's more like making this special bottles a time travel machines. Something you can not do with your signature scent. If one has one. I do not.

Instantly buying the biggest bottle they have and I'll add the Body Butter etc. Holy fuck what an insane fragrance! This house is just incredible. Noir Epices is absolutely stunning too, and Music For a While and Portrait of a Lady blows me away also - but absolutely the star of the show is Musc Ravageur. Insanely good!

I have a couple of points here to contribute to. 1. I bought Vetiver Extraordinaire Body Wash on your recommendation in a stream and love it. It is my favourite Malle scent and i wish they would bring out more stuff related to it, maybe even a deodorant. In general, niche companies should bring out more scented stuff with their fragrances. I love pairing it with the perfumes. 2. The flowers aspect with Musc Ravageur is 99.9% down to the fact to appeal to men, as you guessed. Funny enough, it is more popular in France with women and it is a way of marketing it to men who fear it might be too feminine. I think it is unisex, slightly feminine leaning, but i guess it maybe depends from where one is from and what people wear around you. I don't love it, but i am not too big on spicy vanilla. Don't get the animalic or skanky aspect either. 3. Ordered once at Première Avenue, and their prices are good for some fragrances or brands, even for Europeans. Was a bit delayed due to the holiday season, but they threw in a lot of goodies. Quite generous to be honest, a bit of Laurent Mazzone as well 😁. So thumbs up from me overall, can't complain. @@usmellsgood I guess that is the difference between shower balm/cream and shower gel/body wash. I had the Tam Dao shower balm and it is also more creamy or milky as you say rather than the shower gel texture. I prefer the Tam Dao bar soap, cheaper and nicer for my purpose. Due to Musc Ravageur being more popular with women, they have the balm. And for the Vetiver and men, it is the shower gel. I also love L'Eau D'Hiver, and there they have a body milk, which is a lotion and cream type of thing. I would prefer a shower gel. But since it is more popular with women, they have it as a lotion. But it kind of suits it perfectly from the smell, since the perfume smells like a lotion/cream itself.
I returned this one when I brought. It really just felt like a musky amber. I was expecting this almost pissy vanillic animalic musk bomb but it was very tame.

Based on the concentration %’s you read out, the newer bottle contains less alcohol so presumably contains a higher content of fragrance.
