  • WOW! We're back with ANOTHER Ren Reaction, this time to the requested 'Sick Boi,' and MY GOSH, I'm just saying...not many artists can make masterpieces like this.
    Thank you so much for your kindness and encouragement as I keep going down the Ren rabbit hole, the support you've shown on my little channel means so much more than I can put into words.
    As a fellow Lyme warrior who also has MCAS/MCAD and multiple other chronic physical and mental illnesses, including a 20+ year battle with Anorexia, his words and delivery, and raw emotion...they just hit SO close to home. Hope you're able to enjoy.
    Take care of yourselves. 💕

    don't let ANYONE tell you not to share your reactions and pause as you need to. That's what makes your insights and contributions valuable - frankly, whomever says that can eff right off, because they don't understand. Keep it up, and keep strong - you're an amazing inspiration of determination.

      Thank you so much, that means so much to my heart and soul, I can’t really put into words right now. I’ve always felt the same way when I watch other reactors, I actually really enjoy it when people pause and share whatever comes up for them, because that’s how we get the massive array of different perspectives and that we see in this community just around Ren as an artist, and it’s amazing. I did try to at least make sure I rewound it a little bit in some places here when I had to pause it pretty quickly, just to make sure we didn’t miss the transitions, but thank you for letting me know you really appreciate how the policy makes insights and contributions valuable. You’re such an encouragement, I really appreciate you stopping by!💕

      Pausing is basically what a reaction is all about. If I wanna watch the whole thing in one go then I watch the original, period.

    • @TheViralInfekT
      @TheViralInfekT Pƙed rokem +11

      I second this strongly. There is no sustenance in watching someone looking like a dead fish with open mouth just saying "wow that was something" and ending the video. All who do not want a pause should see the original that they should watch anyway to support the artist.

    The WHOLE POINT of reaction channels is the reactions that happen in the pauses. Your analysis is incredible. The people that don't like you pausing can f' off.

      Thank you so much, Tyson, this really gave me a smile when I read it. I probably shouldn’t have even tried to give that explanation about pausing, but I was just trying to avoid having to deal with comments that complained about the pausing.😂 I seriously appreciate the number of people in this comment section alone who have told me that they don’t mind, and even appreciate the pauses, because that’s how I’ve always felt about others’ reaction videos, so I’m glad to know there are plenty of people who feel the same way. I really appreciate your kind words about my analysis, too. With Ren, I’m finding that his music tends to appeal to multiple aspects of my personality and lifelong interests, and life in general. I love being able to relate to the chronic illness and mental health side of things, and all that goes along with that, but I also really love things like rhyme scheme analysis and rap flow patterns, and I love literature and metaphors and analogies because I spent four years dedicating my life to get a degree in English literature, after a lifelong love of reading. So he really delivers on everything, and I know I miss references at times, but I really just geek out over this stuff.😊

    I've watched a LOT of reactions to Sick Boi-more than is probably healthy, tbh-and this is the best lyrical breakdown of the song that I've seen. Really, really well done. Thank you.

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem +2

      Jacob, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really love diving into lyrics, rhyme schemes, metaphors, all of that stuff, and when I stopped being able to read and write like I once could (have a college degree in English from spending 4 years doing just that, but Lyme et al. have really messed with my ability to do both), music is the one area where I was still able to connect with my love of words, which worked out well, because I’ve also used music to process things my whole life. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t reference lyrics from AT LEAST 1-2 songs in mid-conversation with my husband, and I’m so thankful my brain somehow has managed to continue connecting with words via music.
      Finding someone like Ren, who is putting words to music and perfectly describing so many things I haven’t been able to quite tap into, myself
it makes the experience all that much more enjoyable. Thanks for coming along for the ride!💕

    Wonderful reaction. Amazing Becca.I think Ren is also commenting on how young, successful male singer role-models of his age have allowed themselves to be bled in the name of fame and profit and have ended up taking their lives. The past 5 years have been a risky time for Ren. The 'success' of some musicians has been about Christian prophet/martyr models. (i.e. Christ, Hendrix, Cobain, dying at 33). I'm longing for the time when these cultural iconic figures are no longer shadowing Ren's longevity. Hope I'm still here to hear the wonderful songs and films he produces in his 40's! (Ren's 66 year old dad).

    Your excitement at finding Ren is infectious, and your reactions to his songs, although hard to see you upset, anyone can see they are cathartic to you, to see someone express the same experiences you've had in a powerful way is obviously a good thing for you, keep watching and reacting and don't worry about pausing and letting your feelings out, any Fans of Ren will have seen these videos many times and i think just enjoy watching new people discover him

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem +5

      I’m so glad you’re able to connect with the emotions even through a screen; there have been some times in life (not in these videos, just life in general) where I’ve been asked if I’m exaggerating or overemphasizing emotion, and I can honestly say I’m not. And honestly, I cant fake emotion even if I try, I’m really bad at it, so everything I share here is my raw, genuine reaction I’d be having even if watching it without a camera filming. I’m so thankful others have been able to feel it. I’m so glad to be part of this community, and can’t wait to keep going down this rabbit hole! Really appreciate you!💕

    one of the most beautiful things about Ren is he spreads empathy, both directly and via his fans. The reaction community is really a special group of people imo. All kinds of folks, and they were all touched by the transparency and powerful emotionality. So to watch someone see his stuff anew, is to welcome someone else into the fold. You were before but here’s your proof: we see you.

The overwhelming love and encouragement from this larger fan base and community has been absolutely overwhelming, and unlike any other community I’ve ever connected with online. I’m so thankful to have you here, and am really looking forward to continuing this journey!💕

    You are the first person reacting to this song and felt every word exactly as me. I know there are many people who felt it too, but I haven't seen it in reactions. And it made me cry even after I thought I was done with emotions when it comes to this song.
    It hits really hard and makes me desperate hearing someone describing exactly how I feel, but also it feels kind of comforting knowing that I am not the only one going through hell of being chronically ill and being treated like crazy/lazy/hypochondriac by doctors and people.
    So, just wanna thank you for everything you said in this video. Often I really need a proof that I am not crazy and you just gave me that.
    Thanks and hugs from Serbia. đŸ–€

      Thank you for taking time to watch, but even more so, for sharing some of your own story. Sometimes just being able to share it with someone can at least make the load lighter, even if just for a moment. I’m so thankful you happened to stop by. Fantastic reaction. Ren is a terrific actor, in addition to every other massive talent he possesses. I've been lucky and haven't suffered the way both you and Ren have, but even so, your take on this piece is EXACTLY how I hear it. The frustration and rage of not being heard when you're so desperate for help, and the despair of being stuck in that meat-grinder of a system. I got Lyme in TN. It's everywhere.
    IMO Ren sees the system that failed him is the same system that, writ large, is failing the planet. And he's highly self-aware, so he knows that while he's a victim of the system, he's also de facto a part of the system, being a human and a member of society. It's a total existential quandary, unanswered. He also explores this in Money Game P1 and Pt 2.

In English 😊 I have never wanted to sit down with a pot of coffee and talk for days with anyone more than I do you right now!! I relate exactly to what you're saying. I was allergic to beef for almost a decade! I even had the bullseye bite on my leg... No, Dana, it's all in your head. I told one doctor that, the way they're treating me, the only way I'll get a diagnosis is on an autopsy table. One year later my heart stopped beating. Twice. I was shocked back to life and given a pacemaker/defibrillator. That was 2009. I STILL wasn't diagnosed with Lyme because my doctors REFUSED. I paid to go to a specialist in 2015 and was finally officially diagnosed. I'm still here for a reason. I would LOVE to talk to you. Please let me know if you ever do. 😊 Much love, Beautiful! ❀

    This ended up a longer comment than I expected, I apologise:
    I had a lot I wanted to express and say, but I've become so overwhelmed. He said, embodied everything I've been feeling and thinking. Then, the courageous soul that you are articulated my near exact thoughts and emotional/physiological experience. Like the saying goes; “in an insane world, a sane man must appear insane.”
    It's fvcking horrible when everyone around you either doesn't know the depths of your torment (sake of taboo, "trauma dumping", treating you differently/pity etc), and others as above still with their head in the sand call you the one with a mouth full of it... it's incredibly painful and lonely.
    We were never meant to live like this. Pawns in a greedy tw4ts game.
    I'm becoming so dejected with life tbh, what's the point when their thumb is forever on our backs.
    I also struggled with an aggressive autoimmune response for almost 9 months, breaking out in hives feeling my skin crawling, needing to to itch but itching too long burned even worse. Nothing helped. Just got bounced around... felt so claustrophobic in my own skin.
    There is a powerful perspective I wanted to write too but it's escapsed my mind... it's exhausting. The world is moving so fast and time does not wait for anyone, on top of that my mind is doing the same and I can't help but feel some sort of hollow.
    I just to also say thank you so much for sharing yourself and your thoughts with us. You've no idea how heard I felt, by artists that speak my thoughts and articulate my feelings so impeccably when I can't, and by you; taking them out of my brain and conveying it in such a way I never could sharing it with the world.
    Always here if you need a fellow to speak with. All the love Becca. You're doing great things, don't be discouraged to speak for past you and those who feel they can't.
    💛
    Edit: another thing, when he says "I always seem to drown." As his voice calms in volume and aggression... this to me mimics the "crash" or "come down" from some of the meds. In and of itself can become a whole nother problem. I struggle with ADHD and I feel hopeful and alive when on the meds but when they drop off I just want to bawl, and then I got so angry (internal, I could never hurt a soul) at the fact that I am only ever afforded to function at a normal level for a select few hours, I have to be on drvg5 to get to the standard normalcy that for everyone else is just another day. Chronic burnout, chronic overwhelm, chronic nauseating loneliness in a blind society.
    The 2nd thing I wanted to mention was if you noticed how the therapist was monotonously ignoring the signs and cries for help but doing their part to get this sick boi back out and functioning like a good little cog in the machine. Sounds a lot like gaslighting doesn't it?! Hmm...
    OH I REMEMBERED THE POWERFUL POINT:
    Are we truly sick or is all the mental illness a normal and chronic response for some to a profoundly sick society functioning far beyond our intended way of living, our instincts...
    Goodness man... this is so heartbreaking. Times like these I understand why ignorance is bliss.
    I don't know if you've heard I MISS THE DAYS, NATE, and LET ME GO by NF but that man speaks to my inner child, as does Ren now too and it's painfil but at the same time the most heard I've ever felt in my life. I recommend these if you haven't.
    And I'm sobbing again. What's new... again thank you so much. If you read this far, I'm not sure what to say but your time and consideration is immensely appreciated.

Alone in the world and unwilling to go to conventional medical folks since I'm in the biz and know what BS lies there. Bled out to "holistic MD's" with no relief. Finally after YEARS of having to work with no support, yada yada , a client of mine, a baby, her parents bought a Hyperberic Oxygen Tank(50k) for HBO(Therapy). I got in with the child and after 2 times, my symptoms, ALL OF THEM--gone! Long story short, I did cycles of oxygen therapy for almost 2 years and I am healed. That was 15 years ago. Even with all the stress in my life lately , I am still physically Ok, mentally not so much. I really want people to know. If I had to pay for these sessions It would have been at the time almost $200 a session. It was virtually free for me. I am beyond upset with Conventional medicine that they don't seem to want to heal anyone. Oxygen and a radical diet change did it for me. More O2 than anything. Oxygen kills viruses and bacteria. All of the stuff your talking about regarding your experience with the medical profession (which I'll speak on) so resonates with the stuff my wife and I have seen too over the last 25 years. From the "try this drug or that drug", to the "drug seeker" label, to SO MANY misdiagnosis cycles, "the pain is in your head", to surgeons shrugging and saying "sorry, can't help you". If there was a word one million times more powerful than, frustrating, it wouldn't be enough.
    You know why they call it a Medical Practice? Because they're PRACTICING being a doctor. So many of them don't really have a clue. I mentioned to my wife once, you know a D is considered a passing grade. Even C student doctors wouldn't instill much confidence from me. So the real hunt is in finding a doctor who is actually smart, empathetic, and truly cares, which is DAMNED HARD TO FIND. She had A GREAT Rheumatologist... and then he retired. 😱

    Hi Becca, one of your best Ren reactions yet!
    I took the last line a little differently, possibly because I've seen his other work and there's a lot of theme overlap.
    I think the _"while I'm bleeding, I'm the reason, cus I'm doing the same"_ is referencing that, whilst he's just said the world is sick with greed and commoditisation, he's also commoditising himself. I think this makes more sense after viewing _"Money game"_ (Parts 1 and 2) in which he identifies that we are all complicit, we're all part of the same 'money game'
    BTW, if you're a rap nerd you MUST check out : "losing it" _(So many amazing flows, a real showcase and lots of humour)_ , "The hunger" _(a personal statement piece)_ and "What you want" _(super-happy, feelgood retro hiphop)_
    And... back in the MH vibe : "Genesis (live video version)" _(A very metaphor-rich piece about personal pain and his frustrated beginnings)_
    ... Ren can really "RAP" rap ... it'll surprise you ; )))))
    Dammit, why can't I subscribe twice? You never cease to amaze me. Thanks, keep being you!

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem

      I totally agree that’s another layer of meaning for that last line-thanks for taking time to share all of this here! Definitely looking forward to digging into Money Game 1&2 in the future. Thanks for the insight!
      I saw you ended up finding my reaction to The Hunger, and I’m so glad you enjoyed it-a lot of people have been recommend Losing It, Genesis, What You Want, and Power, so the next time I’m recording any rap track, I may out another poll out on the community tab to help me decide the order. I can’t wait to get to all of them, eventually, but it’s just gonna take some time.
      I have a reaction to Dominoes filmed, and that was extremely emotional and cathartic, so I was thinking about doing another fun rap track after that, but depending on how I’m able to edit, etc, my next one may have to be his new track dropping, which I have NO DOUBT is going for be straight FIRE.
      Really appreciate you! Your last sentences made me smile.😁

    Hey Becca! I've been watching your reactions to Ren's videos, and I think your perspective is really helpful as someone who has dealt with chronic illness, and who has seen the frustrating side of the healthcare system. I'm going to comment on the latter bit here, because I think it's important that there is discourse between people like yourself, and healthcare workers like me.
    I really understand the framing that the medical industry is just a machine that churns patients through rather than actually listening to them. In a lot of ways that's true. No matter what part of the industry we work in, we are trained to follow sets of protocols that are based on the prevailing scientific consensus of the time. We aren't encouraged to experiment or think too far outside the box that our training provides for us. That is to your benefit and detriment, because it means that we don't have very much license to experiment in ways that would seriously harm you, but we likewise can't experiment in ways that would help you.
    The human body is extremely complicated. We can fix broken bones and ruptured blood vessels fairly reliably, but when you get into neuropathology and psychopathology, you're dealing with a tangled web of illness, symptoms, treatments, and cures that can take decades to unravel for any given individual.
    There is the problem that some workers are just there to get paid. Some people go through the motions, and don't actually care about you as a patient. But a lot of us do care, and we are still hamstrung by the complexities of your case, our lack of knowledge as an industry, and the restrictions of our training and scope of practice.
    I want nothing more than to fix the problems of every patient that walks in my door. But sometimes it really is a question of pushing pills until one works, as people who have found eventual success with the right anti-depressant can attest.
    I'm someone who has been a life long sufferer of a binge eating disorder, depression, and anxiety. I see you. Your suffering does not go unnoticed by me. I hope that my reaching out does at least a tiny bit to restore some faith in healthcare professionals. From one human being to another, I want us all to find health and happiness.

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem

      David, I took some time to reply to you because I wanted to make sure I had the brain power to say what I wanted to say, and to give you the response that you very clearly deserve. I’m still not sure I have the right words, but I’m gonna do my best. I first want to say thank you for the work that you do, and thank you for going into this profession with a very clear heart of wanting to help and heal people. I have no doubt in my mind that most people who enter the profession legitimately want to help, I’ve just had one too many experiences where I’ve seen those doctors push the side because the ones who are in it only for money, or only to make a name for themselves, or only to push medication‘s because of pharmaceutical companies, And that makes me really sad, actually.
      I am very fortunate to currently have some very amazing doctors and medical professionals that I’m working with, so I hope that my reactions and commentary here don’t come across as me attacking the medical profession and doctors as a whole, because that is absolutely never my intention. I literally would not be alive if not for some of the great doctors that I have had, and it’s very clear to me that you truly care about your work and every patient that you see, just based on the words that you shared here.
      So I wanted to thank you for sharing so much of your heart and mission as well, Because some people who have had negative experiences don’t end up being as fortunate as I have been to find some really great practitioners over the years, and I hope that if anyone in that position sees your comment, they’re able to have some of that faith restored a little bit, too.
      Reading your comment almost brought tears to my eyes, because the last thing I want is for any medical professional who is truly compassionate, caring, and desperate to help (even if their medical schooling isn’t designed for learning how to better help some of these more complex patients) to feel like I’m making a blanket statement that all doctors etc. are bad. I 100% do not believe that at all.
      When I say I appreciate you taking time to share everything that you typed, as well as taking time to watch some of my reactions to the songs of Ren’s, I mean that from the bottom of my heart and soul. That end of itself shows me that you are a much more caring compassionate practitioner than the bad apples I’ve encountered, who often just tend to be louder than the people who are in it to truly helping try to heal. I can feel your message and your mission in your words.
      I also know that even the best medical schools can’t be on the cutting edge research of everything, so I’m not even really complaining about the difficulties in working with complex patients. More than anything, the anger that I feel is directed at the doctors I have encountered, and that several of my friends have encountered, who have done nothing but laugh in their face and dismiss their very real concerns because it didn’t fit a very narrow preconceived notion of what they thought was right, and therefore they just try to throw pills to put a Band-Aid on symptoms. I’m also not anti-medication, whether for physical or mental health, I just don’t like the way that a lot of those types of practitioners I mentioned to him to be happy with throwing a Band-Aid of a pill at someone, and then when it doesn’t work, just continuing to stack more prescription medications on top of it.
      Dealing with Lyme automatically makes it difficult to navigate the medical field, because the CDC literally tries to deny the lift reality of millions of people because they know that it would cost too much to have to pay for care and treatment for the people that are sick from Lyme disease and co-infections who often went undiagnosed for years if not decades.
      But again, I want to thank you for the work that you do, and for your very apparent heart to help humans heal, even if you don’t have the exact answers at a particular point in time. Thank you again for taking time to type all of this out, I really value your perspective and appreciate The detail with which you shared. 💕

That's the beauty of collectively discovering new artists via reaction channels. It allows you to take a fresh look at music you have only a passing aquaintance with, often foiling spotify's algorithm, serving up a whole new genre.
    As for Ren, there is nothing he can't do, from playing piano in a railway station, to acting his butt off as a modern travelling bard in the 'Jenny/Screech/Violet trilogy'.

    Becca, where can I get that wide headband? In slightly cooler weather a full knit cap is a bit too much. Love your reactions! Keep moving forward and know that we love you.
    Regarding the video, I love how the music slightly drowns out the actual conversation, which really captures the thoughts in our heads drowning out real world interactions. We're focused on our pain and illness, whether mental or physical, and we can't be fully present. Genius.

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem

      In reverse order: Yes! The way that background vocals and instrumental drowns out a lot of the spoken conversation really drives fast imagery home HARD. The level and layers of detail he puts into these videos is amazing. Genius, indeed.
      As far as the headband, I wish I could give you a helpful answer, but I don’t think it’s what you’re looking for. I’ve had a headache literally every day, no exaggeration, since January 20, 2013, and for most of the past decade I’ve had to wear a cold pack on my head, usually 24/7, just to keep the pain at bay. So that’s actually a cold pack with individual little reusable ice cubes in two different rows. Not sure it would help you out in cooler weather, and I’m sorry I can’t be of more help! I used to only have ones that looked like obvious medical products, but I found these black ones ~6 years ago and for the last couple years, they’re basically all I wear. And they’re not nearly as obvious as the ones that are white and blue, etc. (the brand is Headache Hat, and they actually have a few different designs; I have some with 3 rows, some with 2, and one with a single row. I’m never without them. Can’t afford to be.)

      Tho this is my least favourite of EVERYTHING that Ren has done.
      Still awesome, to go Amerikkkan on your ass, sister
      I'll qualify that. We don't use awesome so much over here (tho it's creeping in). And the spelling of America is cos you lot need to sort your race relations out. I lived in Chicago for a year, as a white boy south side in the projects, so I'm qualified to comment
      In one of my lives, in the life that I've lived...

    I loved this response and subbed. Can’t wait to see your reaction to The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full). It’s a trilogy that hits you right in the feels basket by the end.

      I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’m definitely looking forward to that trilogy. I think I’ll have to alternate between the more emotional songs and the hardcore rap songs (or the feel-good songs of his or his band’s) to keep some kind of balance, but I’ve heard that trilogy is AWESOME.

    Hey fellow KY gal! I love that I found your reaction channel, and yes there absolutely is Lyme Disease here. I was told the same thing years ago when I took my Daughter to the dr after she had contracted Lyme. Thanks for sharing with us. Ren is bringing people together with his art, which is amazing ❀

      Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by this little corner of the Internet. Ren has DEFINITELY brought people together with his art in a way I’ve not quite seen any other artist do to this degree. I’m so glad he’s finally getting the recognition he’s long since deserved. I’m so sorry you’ve also had firsthand experience with Lyme-denial as you searched for answers for your daughter, I really hope you were able to find her some help after dealing with that ignorance, and I hope she’s back to living life now. Take care of yourself.💕

    It is always good when reactors get into the songs and videos. It is something else when you see them, on a deep level, identifying with the content.
    I can’t imagine what it is like to be able to walk a mile in the shoes of someone going through these things.
    My best wishes, thoughts, prayers, much love and support.

    You are quite...remarkable. Chalk Outlines will require a fistful of Kleenex, as its truth is so painful, while at the same time so beautiful.

      Thank you so much for such a kind comments. I’ve actually already recorded chalk outlines, it’s just gonna take me a little while to get it edited and uploaded, as health allows. But it absolutely required a lot of drying of the tears throughout the entire thing, and was so painful beautiful, indeed.

    In the same way we have these opposing voices in ourselves, we must understand that everyone else is having that same experience. The medical system, the mental health system, and all the other systems are full of individuals experiencing that same battle. That doesn't justify behaviors like those you described with a doctor dismissing your symptoms. But that idea has helped me in a lot of ways to be able to communicate better with those who actually do want to help, and to avoid the kind of resentment that becomes self defeating. And it should be noted that many aspects of systems and institutions have improved markedy and even remarkably in some cases. Still a long way to go, but I look at the systems as in a development/recovery process similarly to that of the individual, it just goes slower due the complexity of the structures.
    And please let me offer some hope regarding the state of the planet, it is actually doing much better than people would have you believe, it is more green and with more tree than it has been for a very long time. Worked as a logger and planted 6 trees for every one cut. Most people fathering resources are more conscientious about conservation than anyone else, their livelihoods depend on it.

    It's so good to see a reaction that actually gets it and understands all of the layers and double meanings. Usually I don't like so many pauses, because the pauses and the commentary is often just not 'getting it', but your analysis, genuine understanding and heartfelt reaction is such a breath of fresh air. Its awesome to watch. Although, as you said about parts than make you feel uneasy in your reaction, also gives a sense of unease because it is just such an emotional response and we are witnessing you bring up uncomfortable emotions too and it feels very intimate.
    Can't wait for your next reaction. But also please make sure you hug yourself and know that many of us also wish you strength, happiness and peace. ❀

      Jane, reading your words touched my heart in a way I’m struggling to put into words. Thank you so much. I’m really glad to know you were able to resonate with a lot of the emotions that were running high for me in this video; it was definitely an adventure and I can’t wait to keep digging into more. I really appreciate the reminder to make sure I’m taking care of myself, too, though. I can definitely fall victim to not giving myself the rest and recovery time I need, so trying to be more intentional about that. Very appreciative and thankful that you’re here!💕

    I really enjoyed (if that's the right word!) the intensity and authenticity of your reaction, and your keenness to explore the literary and medical allusions whilst also being emotionally wrapped up in the song.
    With regards to the choral sample we hear, it fundamentally stems from "Bre Petrunko", a traditional Hungarian song (which is an amazing thing to listen to in and of itself); the chunky production we hear I don't believe stems from Ren's computer genius mind either, as it can also be heard here: czcams.com/video/OFtAWVB9-SI/video.html
    But by 'eck, he's still astonishing.

      All good and credit where it’s due. I really loved your Hi Ren reaction too. I can’t imagine what you go through on a day to day basis but I’m so glad you have found a small slice of solace in Ren. I’m sure there are millions in the same boat.
      If you’re looking for something a bit lighter form him, Bitter Sweet Symphony is a lovely change of pace. I think you’d like that one.
      Other artists to delve in to at some point if you like hip hop are Mic Righteous and Lowkey from the uk. They’ve both been through all sorts but are the kings of lyricism and have a huge back catalogue. Very much on the conscious rap vibe, predominantly.
      Keep up the great work

    One thing I recently learned about NDs is that we have a more connected/sensitive connection with our bodies eg. we can read cues about something wrong with it a lot faster than NTs. That's why whenever we feel something being wrong we should persist on having it checked out

    • @BeccaDoss
      @BeccaDoss  Pƙed rokem +1

      That’s a really interesting point; I think a lot of talk about problems with interoception leads people to assume we don’t have ANY connection with out bodies and feelings, physically or mentally, but it makes so much meow sense to me that, on the sensitive side of things, we also tend to be able to tell when something’s “off,” even if we can’t pinpoint it exactly. Appreciate you!
