It will shrink your stomach since ur not eating as much. I tried eating a “fair size” corn dog and could feel full just from eating half. (4th day)

- a piece of whole wheat or multigrain toast with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (if you’re allergic to peanut butter you could do almond butter, pumpkin butter, sunflower see butter or bean dip)
- half a grapefruit
-a cup of black coffee or caffeinated tea (you can’t add any sugar, or any type of cream/sugar sweetener | you could drink water instead of coffee or tea but it wouldn’t be as beneficial, or green tea is another option because it burns calories)
Lunch :
- a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast (no peanut butter or any spreads)
- add 1/2 cup of tuna on your plate (without any mayonnaise)
- for a beverage : water, green tea or black coffee (again, no sugar sweeteners, sugar or cream)
(If you want to season your food, stick to seasonings like pepper, garlic salt, honey mustard or any other low/no calorie seasonings)
Dinner :
- you can eat 3 ounces of any meat you prefer
- add a cup of green beans on your plate
- half a banana
- a small apple
- one cup of ice cream (optional)
Day 2 :
Breakfast :
- a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast with one whole egg : hard-boiled or scrambled or fried (if you scramble your eggs, no using milk and if you fry your eggs, no oils)
- half a banana
Lunch :
- one cup of cottage cheese or a slice of cheddar cheese
- a hard boiled egg
- 5 saltine crackers
Dinner :
- 2 hot dogs (without buns and any sauces)
- add half a cup of carrots
- a cup of broccoli
- half a banana
(The veggies should be boiled, steamed or eaten raw and the meat should be baked or grilled)
- half a cup of ice cream (optional) or half a cup of apple juice or vanilla or strawberry flavoured almond milk
Day 3 :
Breakfast :
- 5 saltine crackers (if you’re tired of saltine crackers, you could have a rice cake for each cracker)
- one slice of cheddar cheese (if you don’t want cheese again you can have a piece of ham, a boiled egg, cabbage or soy cheese)
- a small apple
- don’t forget your green tea or black coffee
Lunch :
- a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast
- a boiled egg (if you’re bored with the egg you can have a cup of milk, two pieces of bacon or a chicken wing
Dinner :
- one cup of tuna
- half a banana

It helps to do intermittent fasting too. I drink nothing but coffee or tea at eat at 12, 3, 6. If I get an urge to snack I drink water, tea, coffee.

When I was in the military, we literally ate all we wanted. We managed to lose and maintain weight. It's called regular exercise.

I think this is wrong because of 2 main reasons.
First, even though it is technically possible to lose a few pounds in 3 days, most of which will be water and even muscle mass, and very little fat (which should be your goal).
Second, this kind of diet is not suited for every individual. For example, an older 120 lbs woman does not have same caloric and nutritional needs as a 200 lbs teenage athlete.
To get a personalized and sustainable diet, I suggest contacting a personal trainer or nutritionist. If you can't afford a specialist for any reason, you can get it created online. Dietarize, for example, worked fine for me, but you can search by yourself as there are many good diet assistants available nowadays.
Same you will probably gain more weight than you lost after few days
The VA puts patients on this diet and call it The cardiac 3 day diet. They choose this for people who need heart surgery. It works! I tried it just for the heck of it

I can honestly say this will work. I have done it in the past due to a military recruiter telling me if I wanted to join the Navy I needed to lose at least 10 pounds in a week to show him I was serious and wasting his time. I did this diet along with alot of Eliptical exercise every day for 6 days straight and lost almost 14-15 pounds. In less than a week.

I try this diet for a month and I lost 28 pounds and did it for a second month and lost 23 pounds so far 51 pounds lost in 2 months not bad ...

I did it then took 2 days off then back again on the diet at first I feel weak but after 2 weeks I start having more energy and my stomach was getting full with a lil bit food on the 2days the I was off like my stomach was getting smaller and not to mention when I start seeing how many pounds I was loosing I was getting more motivated...I went from 4x to large in 2 months ...good luck

Started this today. I was in great shape and put on a few pounds. Going to do the military workout once I’ve completed the diet. Respect to the military
I started this diet at 291 and was able to drop 7 lbs, now weighing 284 lbs, I feel this diet is very manageable(always looked forward to the ice cream), it has taught me that my issue has always been snacking. I plan on staying on a sensible diet and will do the diet every Monday -Wednesday until I meet my goal.

For those having trouble keeping track, I made a summary.
Day 1:

I saw this diet years ago, called the 3 Day Miracle Diet. The rules included that you could alternate days, as long as it was 3 days in the week. That made it easier to stick to the diet, and the body wouldn't go into starvation mode and slow the metabolism. Still lost 10 lbs!

This diet worked I lost 15lbs on the first three day. I held off for 4 days did it again lost 10 more. On my 4 days off I kinda still watched what I ate avoided anything high in calories ate a high protein high fiber diet. It really helped me to boost my weight loss journey. I have went from 320lbs to 250. Very pleased with this. Thank you for the help.

yes, the 4 day off is not good it should be a 6-day diet one day off. anything you eat just stores in your body and even if you eat like a pound of food it will retain with water and be like you never went on the diet at all sadly I been through this hot mess too.

Here's a lil bit of my journey + advices. Your fooding has a serious connection with how much moving around you do.
At first, I tries to lose weight temporarily this way and it worked. But it took a toll on my body. And after that, I didn't OVEREAT but I ate normally yet i gained crazy about of weight in a short amount of time. That's because my body thought it wasn't getting enough nutrients and it started to store fat and food from ANYTHING I ate. So in short, I was gaining weight and didn't have enough energy to exercise. Then I started a lil healthier lifestyle and did a calorie count and light exercises everyday. But what I didn't realise was that JUST calorie count wasn't enough, nutrients, fat and all mattered and it didn't help much. After that I kinda was frustrated and started working out a LOT. Then I found out that over-exercising causes belly fat, weight gain (not applicable for people doing a lot of sport as their psychology works different and the sport is not "exercise" to them, also they eat a LOT and don't do focused on specific body parts workouts, and take breaks casually while playing). So, here's my advice: eat clean, have carbs once or twice a day, take a lot of protein, don't skip out on oil use olive oil, take fruits for natural sugar and of course veges, try to drink juice (homemade ones) everyday, GET ENOUGH SLEEP (i still don't get it lol) and I'd recommend simple constant moving and one chloe ting workout everyday (4-5 times a week).

So, realistically I'm probably down about 8-9 lbs. The most weight I've ever lost in a single month of intermittent fasting is 32 lbs. and out of that about 7 came back when I started eating again.

it’s really not that hard, i think it may be more difficult for people who are used to eating large meals though. i have a small appetite and normally snack around more than i eat whole meals and i did this diet almost two years ago n i don’t recall struggling too much.
Been using this diet for decades. It is tough. Starts out okay, and by the second day you think “I’ve got this.” By the end of day 2 and day 3, it gets really tough though. You really lack energy on top of starving. It is really mentally distracting too. However, it does work. I’ve never lost 10 lbs., but always at least 8. The hard part is eating normal the next 4 days and not gorging. Every time I did the diet, I swore I’d never do it again, but I have. After all, it does work.

When I was younger I used to do the military diet without knowing there was such thing as a military diet. My routine was to eat the foods mentioned for 3 days then on the 4th day, I’d eat semi-unhealthy to trick my body then on the 5th day back on the military diet. Let me tell you, you lose weight!!!!! Then of course after reaching your desired weight, just eat healthy to maintain your weight. It’s not that hard if you have discipline.

This has been the ONLY diet I’ve been able to do since it’s for 3 day only. I do not lose the whole 10 lbs BUT my clothes feel better & it I feel great. We just have to be consistent. Love it !!!

@@aliceannaq I lost 6 lbs the first week but I do have to say I did not do any walking nor drank water as much as I should have since my job requires sitting down all day. But on the second week I lost another 6 and I was happy. You might not see the loss of weight but you feel the inches off and your clothes fit much better.

I did a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with an 8oz glass of water first thing in the morning. I didn't eat anything until about 5 or 6 PM. Then I would just eat a can of hearty Progresso soup of any flavor. Sometimes I would add in extra veggies if the soup was a little bleak on veggies. I drank at least 3 bottles of water throughout the day. Which was the hardest part for me as I absolutely dislike the way water tastes. I did this for one whole week. Eight days to be exact. I went from a size 10 dress to a size 6. And lost 17lbs.
This was great!! I’ve completed this diet many many times!! Loved the ice cream haha this time I completed the 5 day egg fast this last weekend and lose 10.4lbs a month ago I did the 3 days and lose 9.8lbs. I think it gives a great kickstart and it’s simple eating! I vlogged mine on my channel too! I felt it helped me with accountability to vlog. Thank you for sharing! 💓🤗

I tried this diet 3 years ago, and after doing this diet for 3 days, I really lose 10 lbs (52 kg to 48 kg). Aside from this, this diet taught me self-discipline . It is not easy to control your cravings, to prevent yourself from not eating snacks and to eat meals with lower calories than what you used to eat.
Today, I'm maintaining my 42.5 kg weight (my BMI is normal), and I stopped doing this diet for almost 2 years already, but I still carry the discipline that this diet taught me regarding eating.
P.S. If you're planning to do this diet, I recommend you to do this during your day off or if you're a student, do this if you don't have any classes. It may shock your body especially when you used to eat 2k+ calorie meal, then you will suddenly shift to 1,500 calorie meal or lower, and yes, don't overexercise yourself when you're on a military diet. Lastly, learn how to say no if someone offer you an unhealthy food (decline nicely or make excuses).

EDIT: I only did this diet for 3 days and have stopped. I have been able to maintain this weight by eating healthy meals, running everyday and participating in zumba classes 2 times a week.
EDIT 2: Over a year later and I’ve gotten down to 126, down from 154 when I started.

The more sugar you eat and carbs, the more hungry you get and crave more and more. Also most people get high calorie small volume meals from fast food. So they only are able to eat very little and are craving since it's all high carb. Learning it is key

i cant believe it but this diet works. I am incorporating some of this into my regular diet. I started dieting a few months ago and I had lost 25 lbs doing intermittent 20:4. I had not lost any weight for 3 weeks. I lost 6 lbs by day 3 on the military diet. I was very pleased.
Love this , This works, lost 3 kg in 3 days, didn’t do it properly, and mostly rested , didn’t walk as much as I normally do, would have been way more if i had walked. Will do again in 3 days

I’m done with day 2, it mage me realize my portions were too big before that’s why I wasn’t Loosing. Day 1: breakfast was filling, lunch reminded me how good tuna was, dinner was good. Day 2’s breakfast felt like nothing, I had to eat lunch early, dinner I ate a lot of broccoli. If it’s teaching me anything it’s portion.

I've done this diet. However, I went extreme mode on it. Followed every instruction to the tee, but I did the diet for 3 days, rested for one day, then did another 3 days of the diet. I lost 8 lbs in one week. It works you just have to stick to the instructions and try and not do too many substitutions. We input the meals on a counting calorie app and it comes up as less than 1000 calories for all three meals in one day. Another side effect is that once you're not on a day where you follow the diet, you find that you cannot eat the portion sizes that you used to before the diet. So it helps you lower your portion sizes on your plate even on non-diet days, thus you continue to lose weight. As long as you keep up it up, it does work.
Irma Arellano it's also incredibly unhealthy to do this. For a female to lose weight at a healthy rate, you would need to consume about 1200 calories per day. Doing a diet like this will just make you malnourished.
Victoria Cooper I know it's not healthy. I just used it as a jump start. Once my body got used to smaller portions, I ate regular food, healthy food, and smaller portions. Plus moderate exercise. However in the instructions I received, they recommended that the diet shouldn't be done for more than six weeks. Which is why I just used it as a jump start to get my body used to smaller portions. Other than that, I don't know who named it a military diet. I was given the diet instructions but no one ever claimed it to me as a military diet. In fact, if I remember the instructions, I was told that it was just meant to be a temporary thing for people that needed to lose weight before a major surgery because the extra weight might cause complications during surgery. Since I knew neither of those applied to me I just did it to jump start a healthier lifestyle and that was it.

Madelyn Morris yes. They encourage that you drink lots of water to deal with the hunger pangs if you're hungry but it's not time for one of your meals yet. Plus water has no calories so it doesn't add to the calorie count for the day. And it also gives you the option to add a little bit of salt or pepper to things if you want to give them a little taste.

I remember my grandma doing this diet when I was a kid. I'm 45 now. I think it was called the mayo clinic diet then. Every time she needed to lose weight real quick for something she would do the diet and have success on it. The hardest part for her was still having to cook grandpa three big meals a day. Looking back now, grandma was a little woman who didn't even need to diet. I miss them so much.

Having a low calorie diet will lose the weight for a short period of time. You are only losing water weight and as soon as you go back to your old diet, your metabolism will reset and you will regain the weight.

i think after the diet u should still work out a lot and build up ur calories like the day after ur done add 200 calories and build it up while still working out. idk if it would work but taking it slow insted of instantly adding 1000 calories the next day wouldn’t make u gain that much weight

As soon as you eat again, your body gains some weight back because of the fact that people become underweight and their body is lacking the basic essentials.

I was in the military for 12 years. I've never heard of this diet
I did this last year and lost 6.5lb the first time and between 2-4 lb every following week for several weeks. I went from 230lb to 204lb in 11 weeks. Today, I woke up at 212lb, which means I've gained 8lb this year. I refuse to get as big as I was and I'm back on this diet. wish me luck.

This diet works. I made some substitutions, every time he said to have toast I had a small cheese pizza. When he said to have an egg I would have a cheeseburger. Instead of the two hot dogs I had a 10 ounce New York strip. For the fruit and vegetables I substituted french fries except the dinner where I substituted poutine, I am Canadian and that's just the law here. Instead of tea or coffee I would drink a clear alcohol in the mornings, vodka or gin, and Canadian rye whiskey at dinner. I did better than he said I would, in three days I actually gained 12 pounds, not 10! Thanks for the great video!

I've made eggs in the microwave it doesn't taste the same but it's quick and easy. My kids didn't like it and in the garbage it went.

I’m going to enroll in the Army in a year, and I need to lose 56 lbs 🙃 I’m very determined & today is Day 1 for me! I easily got through breakfast & lunch, I’m excited for dinner. Every person I hear & see do this, always successfully lose 10 lbs within the few days! I also do boxing & go to the gym which takes my mind off food when I start getting a little hungry. Thank you!
