      @WendyHannan-pt7ez I started with 8 cups of water daily, then removed sodas from the menu, then increased fruit and veggies while staying away from fast food. Started reading some food labels to avoid the unhealthy added sugar everywhere! Cooked lots of one pot meals and became a better cook. Then started writing the good foods daily, and twice a month I’d treat myself to some pizza. I forgave myself for the pizza, and stayed diligent on the healthier meals. I didn’t rush it because who needs the added pressure? Over 6 months I lost 30 pounds without exercising, lowered my BP to normal, and my A1C was normal too. The Doc was shocked!

    Why was red meat not included (even if you must state in moderation)?
    Our ancestors have been eating it (and our bodies have been easily adapted to eat it) for around 3 million years, unlike 99% of plant food in it's current multi-genetically altered state. In fact a lot of food we eat today was not available in many countries until around 500 years ago - like potatoes and tomatoes. The myth about saturated fat causing heart disease is based on gross manipulation of data by big food and also big pharma corporations, who benefit from people being sick in order to keep buying their products.

    If you happen to be poor, the current cost of chicken breast, avocado and bell peppers will be a deterrent to using these items.
    As of May, 2024, the cost of two bell peppers at a produce outlet market was 6 dollars!

    • @haroldgreen1425
      @haroldgreen1425 Před 18 dny

      Actually I find chicken breast to be a very cheap food. I buy a package of boneless chicken breasts for perhaps $2 to $3+ per breast and my wife and I split one for our dinner. When I see bell peppers on sale (2 for a dollar) I buy half a dozen, slice them up, and freeze in a vacuum seal bag taking some out as needed for a meal. I often take a package of cubed steak and toss two small ones in a skillet, brown slightly, add a can of tomatoes, some bell pepper strips, a small amount of onions and garlic and simmer until the meat is tender. Served over some miracle noodles for a complete meal. You can buy a six ounce container of mushrooms for just over a dollar. Cube up a cheap shoulder steak, marinate and put meat, mushrooms, bell pepper, tomato chunks, onion chunks on a skewer and grill. Go easy on the bells, tomatoes and onions. Just small pieces to add flavor. I also buy large salmon filets. They are expensive but after cutting one up into around five pieces that each will serve my wife and I dinner it comes to around six dollars for two servings. Unfortunately every week prices are higher on foods so I have to do more shopping to keep healthy meals on the table at an acceptable price. My local store runs pork loins each month for around $10. You can easily slice one into ten or so boneless chops at around one dollar per serving. Hamburger is the old low cost option and a one pound package for perhaps $6 will give you four hamburger patties. Every couple of months I buy keto buns that list one carb per bun and treat my wife and I to fresh cheese burgers. However the buns cost almost as much as the hamburger. Back in my military days I'd buy a large center cut ham and have it sliced into 14 or 15 ham steaks that each provided a meal for two people.

    I've seen many of these videos that are labeled no sugar or carbs. So I'll say meat, some types of seafood, fats are the only zero carb foods. No plant is sugar or carb free. Tomatoes, peppers, onions are not even low carb, they are medium carb foods. You need to correct your title to low or medium carb foods if you want to keep the video as is. In my opinion if a food is over five carbs per serving it's not a low carb food at all.

    Not For Sale
    Proverbs 23:23 (KJV), Buy the truth and sell it not…
    When the Bible says, “buy it”, that means get it, acquire it, invest in it, procure it and own it!
    But the only way to get it is to get Jesus. Truth is not on sale at Walmart.
    It does not come in cans.
    You cannot buy truth by the bag, bottle, package or pound. To get it, you have to get Jesus.
    Since Jesus is the way, truth and life, there can be no other way, truth and life:
    Without the way you can’t go, without the truth, you can’t know, without the life you can’t live.
